Abrams -- Lynne Alison Abrams, age 39, a resident of Albuquerque died peacefully at home on May 16, 2002. Lynne was born February 14, 1963 to Charles R. and Anne (Mask) Abrams. Survivors include her parents, Charles R. and Anne Abrams of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Lori Abrams and husband, Edward Frim of Columbus, OH, Lise Abrams and husband, David Jennings of Gainesville, FL; brothers, Lance Abrams and wife, Gayle of Mt. Prospect, IL, Lane Abrams of Las Vegas, NV; niece, Naomi. Lynne graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech and a B.S. in Medical Technology from UNM; she worked for Presbyterian Hospital as a Medical Technologist and then for TriCore Reference Laboratories in Albuquerque. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Dr. Clark E. Haskins for his compassion and support. Adams -- Clinton Adams, after a long productive life as artist, teacher, writer and administrator, died May 13, 2002, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, Michael Gerald and wife, Tracy, four grandchildren, Devon, Ian, Kayla and Gray Adams, all of Albuquerque; his sister, Margery Mackenzie of South Pasadena, California, an uncle Edward Adams of Long Beach, California; sister-in-law, Dr. Jean Willson and brother-in-law, Dr. Julius Willson of San Diego, California, three nephews, David, Douglas and Andrew Marshall and one niece, Susan Kennedy and their families, all of Arizona; cousins, Gerald, John Wallace and Douglas Mackenzie and Carol Gutoff, Judy O'Beirne, Sheila Kebow and their families-all of California; and numerous friends, both of New Mexico and in other places. Anthony -- Ryan M. Anthony born February 15, 1967 was laid to rest in Mission Hills, CA on May 17, 2002. Ryan is the son of Michael and Kathie Anthony of Albuquerque and Carol and Lionel Johnson of Northridge, CA. Ryan is survived by his grandparents, Miguel and Antoinette Hernandez of Albuquerque and Ellen Wayne of North Hollywood, CA; brothers, Loren Anthony and Matthew Johnson of Northridge, CA; sister, Krista Doherty and family of Albuquerque; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and friends. Ryan Graduated from Sandia High School in 1985 and was an Animator on Staff for Disney Productions for 11 years having received an Emmy for his work. Barkoczy -- Angelina D. de Barkoczy, 82, died Friday, May 3, 2002 after a lengthy illness. A private family service was held on May 7, 2002 at Sunset Memorial Park. She is survived by Charles, her husband of 60 years; and daughters, Anna Snelling and Irene de Barkoczy. She is also survived by three sisters, Anita Butz, Amelia Crandall, Mollie Gatto; and granddaughters, Mary Anna Harter and Sarah Harter. Angelina was a resident of Albuquerque since 1972. She worked for the USAF in The Judge Advocate General Office. She shared her love of bead design with the New Mexico Bead Society and also taught bead stringing at TVI. She is survived by many friends who will remember her patience, energy and perseverance.

Basler -- Eva M. Basler, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Donald J. Basler and wife, Cathi of Parker, CO and Timothy J. Basler and wife, Yoshimi of Roswell; daughter, Cynthia A. McMurtry of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Donald McMurtry, Zachary Basler, Ryan Basler, Sean Basler, Tracy Basler, Tony Basler and Mark Basler; great-grandchildren, Christoffer Basler, Carli Basler and Alexandria Basler; sister, Lorraine Green of Dubuque, IA; and niece, Pat Miranda of Amarillo, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald C. Basler. Mrs. Basler was a member of Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with Mrs. Basler being buried next to her husband. Berger -- Ervin Russel Berger passed away in his sleep on May 15, 2002. He was born April 24, 1910 in Milton, PA and joined the Army on July 15, 1929. He served in World War II in the United States Air Force until June 26, 1958 when he retired from Kirtland Air Force Base. Ervin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Belva; and is survived by four children, Richard Jackson, Ervin Berger, Jr., Wilfred Berger, Ann Haltom and their spouses; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Blea -- Mr. Juan Antonio (Tony) Blea, 84, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 17, 2002 peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family. Mr. Blea is survived by his children, Ricky Blea and wife Mary Ellen, Patsy Garcia and husband Joe, Tonia Torres and husband Leonard, Jeanette Blea-Marrufo, Matthew Blea, Ruth Vasquez, Theresa Molina and husband Paul and Joe Duran and wife Dora; special friends, Paul Joe Duran and Jaime Sias; 31 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many kind hearted nieces, nephews, cousins and very good friends and his bird and dogs. Mr. Blea was preceded in death by his wive Ramona G. Blea (1999) and a son, Victor F. Blea (2002). Mr. Blea was a member of the Catholic Church and a member of 55 years to the Local Union #412 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters. A visitation for Mr. Blea will be Monday evening after 6:30 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 by Deacon Robert Paiz. A final viewing will be Tuesday morning from 8:30am until 9:00am at Holy Family Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00am. Pallbearers will be, Rick A. Blea, Gabriel T. Boyden -- George Stuart Boyden, Jr., 31, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, May 16, 2002. He is survived by his parents, George and Tooey Boyden; brothers, Christopher James Boyden and wife, Jennifer and Michael Lanning Boyden; nephew, Hunter James Boyden; niece, Hannah Brooke Boyden; paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. George M. Boyden all of Albuquerque; aunts and uncles, Barbara and Alan Walters of Plano, TX, Ann and Rex Smith of Einbeck, Germany, and Tom and Lila Boyden of Spokane, WA; cousins, Kevin and Whitney Walters, Tami Kreutzbender, Blythe Pongracz, Ashley and Nick Boyden; and also his dog Kitty. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lt. Col. and Mrs. George R. Lanning, uncle, George Richard Lanning III, and best friend Rob Chavez. George graduated from Eldorado High School in 1989, received his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNM in 1993 and was currently pursuing a degree in Education and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. As a member of Troop #444, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He gained engineering experience in the aerial ropeway industry while employed at the Sandia Peak Tramway and Von Roll Tramways. George 92s passion was skiing. He was a member of the UNM ski team and was currently coaching the Sandia Peak Ski Team. George is also survived by many, many loving friends of whom the family would like to thank for their love and support. Brown -- Bernard F. Brown died peacefully, surrounded by family, at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice on Sunday, February 3, 2002. He was born in Farmerville, Illinois, April 22, 1913. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Estelle, his brother, Willard who was killed in World War II, and his sisters, Mary Evelyn and Florence. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosemary (Vaden); his son, Dave and daughter-in-law, Donna of Albuquerque; his daughter, lice Ann Ferriola and son-in -law Rick Ferriola of Ft. Myers, Florida; his grandchildren, Ben and Celia Brown, Robin Frazee, Rick and Tina Ferriola and Nichole Mottola; his great-granddaughter, Amanda; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind sisters, Eva Faye"Dinky" Herpstreith of Pawnee, Illinois, and Sister Mary Josetta of Roger Arkansas. Coleman -- William "Bill" P. Coleman, 87, died Friday, May 17, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucille "Lucy" Coleman of The Woodlands, TX; sons, Michael B. Coleman and wife, Linda of Las Vegas, NV and Ronald ¯Pat¯ Coleman and wife, Martha of El Paso, TX; daughter, Catherine Loghry and husband, Paul of The Woodlands, TX; daughter-in-law, Ann Coleman of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren, Jeffery Coleman, Jennifer Beckes, Patrick Coleman, Cheryl Van Dyke, Corey Coleman, William Coleman, Jesse Coleman, Dana Reif, David Pyzell, Brian Coleman, Erin Maxfield, Skip Warson, Kevin Loghry, David Loghry and Scott Loghry; and five great-grandchildren. Cook -- Cleo"Granny" Cook, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2002. She is survived by her son, Earl Cook, Jr. and wife, Alice; grandchildren, Gina Burkhalter and husband, Mark, Gemma Hermina and husband, Wahid, James Cook and wife, Julie; great-grandchildren, Vanessa Cook, Kammi Cook of Albuquerque, Abbi Cook of Durango, CO, Ashley Cook of California, Natalie Burkhalter, Sam Burkhalter and Olivia Burkhalter, all of Alpharetta, GA; grand-daughter-in-law, Josephine Cook; and many nieces and nephews. Cleo was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Suzanne Cook and Mark Cook; brothers, James Luellen, Wayne Luellen; sisters, Marie Stephen and Helen Brown, all of New Castle Indiana; and parents, William Luellen and Gertrude Gold Luellen. She attended school in New Castle, IN and graduated from New Castle high school in 1926. Cleo came to Albuquerque in 1943. She managed the Betty Gay shop at 4th and Central (next door to Meyer and Meyer) for several years until the store closed. Cleo owned and operated"Cleo's Maternity Togs"in the Bellhaven Shopping Center. In 1960, she was voted Albuquerque Business Woman of the Year by the ABWA. There are so many wonderful things to remember about Cleo, but those that will always stand out will be her love of family, her laughter, great personality, her chicken and dumplings and her great"Charleston." She will always be in our hearts and cherished by those who knew her. Rosary was recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass was celebrated Saturday, 8:30 a.m.,at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, Phoenix and Vermont. Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Elder -- Alberta Mae Elder, age 82, of Bernalillo, New Mexico passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2002. Alberta was born on September 7, 1919 to the late Elmer and Marguarite Fillhart Marsh. Alberta was preceded in death by her loving husband Earle F. Elder to whom she married September 6, 1940. She was also preceded in death by two of her children, a daughter, Carrieann Stanton Canon, son, Dean Earle Elder; and one brother, Lester G. Marsh. Alberta is survived by her daughter, Roberta M. Nicholson and husband, Franklin of Bernalillo, N.M. Alberta and Earle moved back to Bernalillo, NM. from Roswell, NM. in 1997 to live closer to their daughter. She is also survived by her sisters, Vereine Runk of Coeur d' Alene, ID., B. Kay Henneman and husband, Richard of Charlotte, NC.; one brother, Dr. Dean Marsh and wife, Margaret"Peg" of Belen, NM.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Alberta did volunteer work and was a talented seamstress and avid gardener winning many ribbons and awards over the years. She was a docent of the Southeastern Historical Society in Roswell. NM and was a Past President of American Legion Auxiliary Post 247, Lowellvi11e, OH. Cremation has taken place and it was Alberta's wishes that no services be held. Fulton -- Amelia Lopez Fulton, 61, of Albuquerque, N.M. died May 10, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, Graciano and Anna Lopez, and is survived by her husband, Garland W. Gabaldon -- Robert Edwin (Robby) Gabaldon I I I , 21, passed away on May 14, 2002. Robert is the beloved son to Susie Gabaldon and Robert E. (Bobby) Gabaldon Jr. and wife Marie. Robert is also survived by four brothers, Tony Trujillo and wife Andrea, Vincent Trujillo, and fiancee Ciara, Alfredo Martinez and Joseph Dorrance; his grandmother, Lugie Espinoza; his girlfriend, Diana Gaugh; two uncles; Charlie Stearns, James Espinoza and wife Luanna; two aunts, Frieda Lehner and husband James, Cathy Dow and husband Arthur; cousins, Carlos and Christopher Stearns, Erica and Jazmine Espinoza, Gary Reed Jr., Robyn and A.J. Dow; many aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in both New Mexico and California. Robert was a member of the Catholic Church. Robert started high school at La Cueva High School in Albuq. then moved to Lakewood, Ca. and graduated from Los Alamitos High School in 1998. He attended Long Beach City College from then. A viewing will be Sunday afternoon from 2:30pm until 3:00pm in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00pm by Jimmy Rael. A final viewing will be Monday morning from 8:30am until 9:00am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00am by Father Roberto Fenzl. Gillon -- Joan Rodgers Gillon, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eli Gillon; sons, Stephen Gillon of Homer, AK; John David Gillon of Portland, OR; daughters, Mary Chester and husband, Curtis, of Phoenix, AZ; Elizabeth Gaenzle and husband, Kurt, of La Jolla, CA; grandchildren, Ramona Gillon, Barron Gillon, Sterling Gillon, Samuel Chester, Jacquie Gillon, and Nikolai Gaenzle; and brother, John Rodgers of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her sister, Winifred Hardy. Mrs. Gillon was born in England and immigrated to the US at the age of 3. She was married to Eli Gillon on October 31, 1942. She accompanied him during 25 years of military service including his final station in Albuquerque. Mrs. Gillon worked at Sandia National Labs as a secretary for 24 years until her retirement in January, 1983. She enjoyed weaving and traveling throughout the world. Mrs. Gillon was an active volunteer for the Good Shepherd Center Auxiliary and Honorary Companion of the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd. She was a member of Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church. Mrs. Gillon was a loving wife, beloved mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Rosary will be recited Monday, May 20, 2002, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Brothers of the Good Shepherd reciting. Grier -- John Charles Grier Sr.,-passed away May 17, 2002. He was an avid golfer and loved working with his hands to build. He was a wonderful dancer and loved to dance to Big Band music. He got a lot of enjoyment from entertaining guests. He was a loving family man who enjoyed his wife, kids and grandchildren. He enjoyed working in the garden and especially loved roses. He enjoyed all kinds of sports. He is survived by his loving wife Jan, of the family home; and his six children: John Raymond Grier and wife Theresa, John Charles Grier Jr., Deborah Rhodes, Diane Houlihan, Eddie Grier and wife Tracey, and Doddye Johnson and husband Ron. He is also survived by his six sisters and two brothers: James, Marypat, Janie, Helen, Margie, Cecilia, Michael and Sheri and fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many close friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2002 from 4:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE, Albuquerque. Grube -- Mildred"Mil" C. Grube, 75, passed away May 10, 2002. Born in New York, Mil worked for NY Metropolitan Life. She moved to Rio Rancho in 1968 with her family and raised three daughters. Mil possessed many creative talents. She loved to garden, read and spoil family and friends with her culinary treats. Mil delighted countless people with the decorated cakes she produced as an owner of Corrales Center Bakery. Her cakes, thoughtfully designed and created, shone as expressions of her imaginative talent. Upon selling the bakery, Mil enjoyed working part-time at JC Penny. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Andrew Chapman; and her grandson, Gabriel Goldstrom. Mil is lovingly survived by her husband, Charles Grube; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne-Ann and Brent Johnson of Edgewood, NM, Jeanne Cadley of Issaquah, WA, and Suzanne Cadley (Goldstrom) and Mike Goldstrom, of Lakewood, CO; granddaughters, Lenora Lee Johnson and Claire Goldstrom; ex-husband and loving friend, Russell Cadley; and brother, Charles Chapman. The Memorial Service will be Monday, May 20, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Rev. Paul Flanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Garden in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Martinez -- Felix Y. Martinez, 67, passed away May 17, 2002 with his family by his side. Felix was born on April 9, 1935, and was a life long resident of Bernalillo. Felix is preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra D. Martinez, and his parents Joe L., and Clara Martinez. Felix a loving husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and brother is survived by his wife of 48 years Urusla Martinez of Bernalillo, his children; Linda Rinaldi and husband Geoff of Bernalillo, Gerald Martinez and wife Sheryl, and Chris Martinez and wife Debbie both of Rio Rancho. His grand-children Jarett Rinaldi and wife Shawna, Britta and Brittany Rinaldi, Ricquel Martinez, Jeanette Rodgers and husband Chris, Crystal Martinez, and Carlos, Kristopher and Marcus Martinez. Through his life as a barber he met many people who were regulars to his shop and became his friends. Felix had the love for watching his Sons play softball for many years. Through softball he met many people, and other players who were like part of his family. Known to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as ¯Grapitas¯, he loved spending time singing to them. A Rosary will be held on Sunday May 19, 2002 at our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo at 7pm. Mcbride -- Betty Ruth"Judy" McBride was reunited with her beloved husband, Harold Clement"Mac" McBride, in Heaven after her passing this week. Harold passed away on December 22, 1996 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease and has since been greatly missed. Betty passed away shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer. She was predeceased by her mother Linnie Annetta Schwartz, sister, Lauretta Linnie Patrick, and brother Mac Birge. Harold and Betty moved to Albuquerque from Jackson, Ohio in 1955. Harold retired from The University of New Mexico after many years of service. Betty retired from ARMCO Steel after 22 years of loyal service. Their daughters Vicky Jo Brunner and Toni Coleen Shields, and husband Jack, survive the McBrides as well as Laura Lee Flynn whom was loved as a daughter, and her daughters Kathy Lou Flynn and Jamie Lee Flynn- They are also survived by grandchildren Judy Jo Hendrix and husband, Terry, of Buckly, WA; Robin Raylene Warner, of Albuquerque; Annetta Lin Dehart of Albuquerque; Mac Wayne Dehart, of Buckly, WA; Amber Lea Bryant and husband, Paul, of GrandForks, ND; Cari Coleen Kincannon and husband, Cliff, of Albuquerque; and David Scott Brunner and wife Anna, of Alexandria, VA. Betty and Harold will also be greatly missed by their great-grandchildren: Vicky Lin Dehart, Tammy Jo Hendrix, Daniel Adams Bryant, Matthew Duane Hendrix, Amanda Rayleen Bryant, Nicholaus Calvin Warner, Tristen Mills Warner, Michael Vincent Brunner and Harley Ann Kincannon. Mcgee -- Carl J. McGee, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 with his loving wife, Linda, at his side. He was born on November 3, 1916 in Bayard, KS. He grew up in Kansas and was one of eight children. In 1943, Carl, with his twin brother, Charles, joined the U.S. Army and was proud to have served his country in WWII. He came to New Mexico in 1949 to work on the Route 66 project. He is survived by his wife, Linda; one sister, Christa of Kansas; four sons, Charley and wife, Kathy, Scott Turner and wife, Angela, Steven Turner and wife, Shari (all of Albuquerque), and Carl of Colorado; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cordellia and Edward; his brothers, Harold, Hugh, and Charles; his sisters, Delle, Lottie and Vera; and his son, William. Nagy -- Earl B. Nagy, Sr., 59, a resident of Albuquerque since 1992, died Monday, May 13, 2002. Nunez -- Josephine Nunez, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1940, passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2002. She was a strong and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Josephine handled her illness and her life with courage and grace. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ramon; daughters, Mary Nunez, Bernadette Nunez and Jean Grodner and husband Brian; son, Robert Nunez and wife Alicia; grandsons, Randy Nunez, Robert Nunez Jr., and Michael Nunez; great granddaughter Angelique Nunez, niece Margie Maestas, who had a special relationship with Josephine and Josephine's mother, and Margie's husband Paul and many other nieces and nephews. She worked for Albuquerque Public Schools, retiring in 1986. Josephine was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. It has been said,"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others remains and is immortal. Josephine was always completely and unselfishly devoted to her family and a cheerful trusted friend. She remains an inspiring motivating force for all who love her, and will miss her, so very much. O'connor -- Rose Elizabeth O'Connor, 90, peacefully passed away Thursday, May 16, 2002. She recently moved to Albuquerque from her home of 35 years in Morongo Valley, California to be near the family that dearly loved her. Sanchez -- Nancy M. Sanchez, 78, a resident of Pueblitos, NM, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2002. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church; a life time member of the Sacred Heart and an Auxiliary member of the VFW. She was active with the Catechism class, teaching first through eighth grade. Nancy and her husband, Adolfo were Mayordomos of the San Isidro Mission for three terms. Nancy was a teacherand a substitute teacher for the Belen Public Schools, retiring after 25 years of dedicated service. Preceding her in death were her parents, Pedro Sanchez and Guadalupe Chavez Sanchez; and one brother, Eduardo"Lalo" Sanchez. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Adolfo Sanchez; four children, Joan S. Romero and Max of Pueblitos, Dr. Roland Kent Sanchez and his wife, Elia of Bosque, Adolph Phillip Sanchez Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Bosque; Fred P. Sanchez and his wife, Therese of Albuquerque; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Orlando Sanchez and his wife, Bernie of Belen. She is also survived by her many loving aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends. Nancy appreciated and gained strength from all the help and prayers she received from her relatives; friends; Priest and religious groups who prayed in her many years of illness and all the physicians and staff at St. Josephs Hospital who helped her also. Stanfield -- Thelma Memorial services for Thelma Stanfield of Hobbs will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, at First Methodist Church in Hobbs,with the Rev. Gorton Smith officiating. Mrs. Stanfield, 90, died Wednesday, May 15, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Lawrence County, Missouri. She married the Rev. Clarence L. Stanfield on Sept. 3, 1932 in Portales. Mrs. Stanfield and her husband served many Methodist churches in New Mexico and Texas and are well known all over the state. She was active in UMW and was a -member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in Albuquerque. Survivors include her husband of Hobbs; one son, David Stanfield of Edgewood; two daughters, Joyce Kemper of Hobbs and Sharron Bennett of Jonesboro, Ark; one sister, Helen Dame of Plano, TX; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Stricker -- Margaret Elizabeth Waller Stricker, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1994, died Sunday, May 5, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Margie Stricker Kadlec and husband, Emil G. Kadlec of Albuquerque, NM; daughter-in-law, Joan Stricker of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren, Cecilia Clark of Albuquerque, NM, Bruce Clark and wife, Darlene of Houston, TX, Randy Stricker and wife, Mary Rose of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Ross Stricker of North Little Rock, AR; great-grandsons, Demian Rubalcaba of Albuquerque, NM and Zachary Stricker of Poplar Bluff., MO; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stricker was preceded in death by husband, E. Cecil Stricker in 1988; son, Cecil E. Stricker in 1986; and sister, Winifred Wingard in 1996. She earned her Bachelor degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, OK, and her Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. Mrs. Stricker worked at the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Navajo Reservation for 19 years before retiring in 1972. She was a member and Past Matron of the Eastern Star for 50 years in Gracemont and Stigler, OK. Mrs. Stricker was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Stigler, OK. She was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi, an honorary educational scholastic organization. She served Oklahoma public schools in Caddo County for 15 years as an elementary and secondary teacher. She held progressively more responsible positions as teacher and supervisor in the Bureau of Indian Affairs schools in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah for 19 years. Her federal career was recognized for outstanding accomplishments through Meritorious Service Awards from the Department of Interior. Her accomplishments with the BIA include establishing individualized instructional programs, modular variable school schedules, and flexible learning spaces, and initiating and establishing the most modern education practices through staff training. She was also a licensed real estate broker with her own business, and was active in the Republican Party, Haskell County, Stigler, OK. White -- George P. White, 93, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy Martin of Ridgecrest, CA; grandchildren, Tamie Urbano and husband, Pau and Heather Martin; great-granddaughter, Tyler Urbano; brother, Michael W. White of Albuquerque and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna R. White, on December 13, 1995; brothers, Ule White, James White, Ralph White and Pat White and sisters, Viola Lynch, Florence Sanders and Virginia Brady. Mr. White was born in Minong, WI on Wednesday, September 23, 1908. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. White married Anna Ruth Wahl on June 30, 1937 and they moved to Grants, NM around 1950, where he was school administrator. He was Superintendent of Schools in Santa Fe from 1952 to 1954 and State Assistant Superintendent of Public Instruction. Mr. White was Superintendent of Schools in Ruidoso from 1963 to 1970. He was also Village Counselor and Mayor of Ruidoso for six years. Mr. White was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, DAV, Elks Club and the OSS Club. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 21, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 22, 2002, 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School NE. Interment will take place as Santa Fe National Cemetery.
