Felix Y. Martinez, 67, passed away May 17, 2002 with his family by his side. Felix was born on April 9, 1935, and was a life long resident of Bernalillo. Felix is preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra D. Martinez, and his parents Joe L., and Clara Martinez. Felix a loving husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and brother is survived by his wife of 48 years Urusla Martinez of Bernalillo, his children; Linda Rinaldi and husband Geoff of Bernalillo, Gerald Martinez and wife Sheryl, and Chris Martinez and wife Debbie both of Rio Rancho. His grand-children Jarett Rinaldi and wife Shawna, Britta and Brittany Rinaldi, Ricquel Martinez, Jeanette Rodgers and husband Chris, Crystal Martinez, and Carlos, Kristopher and Marcus Martinez. Great-grandchildren; Sebastian Rinaldi, Oshae and Jadon Rodgers, Elisa and Santiago Velarde. Also, his brothers and sisters; Angie Jauregui and Andres, Toni Portillos, J.P. Martinez and wife Liz, Beatrice Roybal and husband Eddie all of Bernalillo, Rita Leyba and husband Alvin, Melvin Martinez and wife Dominica, Judy Costales all of Albuquerque. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Felix was the owner and operator of Bluewater Barber Shop in Albuquerque, and has been a barber for the past 45 years. Through his life as a barber he met many people who were regulars to his shop and became his friends. Felix had the love for watching his Sons play softball for many years. Through softball he met many people, and other players who were like part of his family. Known to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Grapitas, he loved spending time singing to them. A Rosary will be held on Sunday May 19, 2002 at our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo at 7pm. A mass of a Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on Monday, May 20, 2002 at our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo with interment to follow at our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerald and Chris Martinez, Geoff and Jarett Rinaldi,, Greg Sanchez, Andres Turijan, Jeanette Rodgers, Crystal Martinez, Britta and Brittany Rinaldi.
