Albright -- Marian Albright passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at the age of 59 in Naples, Italy while visiting her family. She is survived by her daughter, Shauna Lynn Curtiss and husband, Tim of Como, Italy; grandson, Casey; parents, Lee and Fay Richards of Albuquerque; brothers, Mike and wife, Margaret Tiffin of Goettingen, Germany, Bart and wife, Shannon of Sinking Springs, PA; sisters, Jean Burnham and husband, Kim of Stillwater, OK, Joan Langholf and Dever of Albuquerque; 13 nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce David. Marian was a lover of art and life and lived life to the fullest. Marion loved her family and was loved by all who knew her. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marian's life will be held on Monday, January 21, 2002 at 11 o'clock at French Mortuary, 1111 University NE. Aragon -- Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mercy V. Aragon, 65, died January 16, 2002 following a long battle with diabetes. She was born on April 14, 1936 in Peña Blanca, NM to Bernadita and Gregorio Salas. She had been an Aztec resident since 1977, where she owned Dino's Place. Surviving Mercy is her husband of 45 years, Eloy Aragon and adopted grandson, Lucas; sons, Richard and wife, Kim, Diego and wife, Luella, Ralph, and James and wife, Valerie; and four granddaughters. She is also survived by many loving brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved daughter, Maria Aragon. Mercy will be missed for her unending kindness and her devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, and her family and for her great cooking. Visitation will be at Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, today, January 18, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Rosary will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. this evening. Mass will be held Saturday, January 19, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Joe Blonski, Celebrant. Burial will be at the Aztec Community Cemetery with her sons as Pallbearers. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec.

C' De Baca -- Dolores M. C' De Baca, went home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2002 after a long illness. She was born on December 22, 1934. She is preceded in death by her mother Effie, father John and brother Donald. Dolores recently retired from Albuquerque Public Schools after a 42 year career as an elementary school teacher. She spent two years in La Selina, Venezuela, SA teaching for a Standard Oil Co. Dolores, who never married, considered her students to be her children and was very proud to tell us she had thousands of children. Dolores loved small animals, she had dogs, cats, birds, fish and all sorts of pets. She was a member of the Albuquerque Animal Humane Society. Dolores had a passionate love for the Lord. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM and served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and was active with the Third Order of St. Francis, Catholic Daughters of America, Legion of Mary, Rosary Society and other groups. She will be missed by her family, friends and colleagues; however, her spirit will be protecting us in Heaven. Dolores is survived by her close friend and companion, Mr. Charlie Castro; her sister Mrs. Doris Martinez and husband Lawrence, nephews Lawrence Jr., Anthony and wife Angela, Mark, Christopher and Ronnie, niece Mary Jean and husband; brothers Pierre Gonzales and wife Grace, nephews Pierre Jr. and wife Renee, Matthew and wife Ida June, niece Sharon and husband David Duran; brother John C' De Baca and wife Molly, nephews John Thomas, Augustine Paul, nieces Ann-Marie Victoria and husband Leo Chavez, Christina Theresa, Julie Faith and husband William Martinez; other relatives include Mary Baca, Helen and husband Marvin Christensen, the Encinias Family, plus numerous other grand nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitations will be on Friday, January 18, 2002 in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening also in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19, 2002 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Mass and Rosary will be officiated by Rev. Louis J. Lambert, SJ. Interment will follow at the family plot with her mother and father at the San Antonito Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM. Pallbearers will be Augustine P. Durham -- Linda Sue Everett Durham, 44, a resident of Las Cruces since 1983, passed away January 12, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Noel David Durham; parents, Roy and Frieda Everett of Albuquerque; sister, Peggy Burnett and husband, Ernest "Lee" of Albuquerque; sister, Wilma Hammar and husband, Wayne of Santa Fe; one niece; four nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Linda was recently pursuing a degree in architecture at NMSU. She had previously worked with the Las Cruces Gospel Mission for over eight years. Interment took place at Masonic Cemetery in Las Cruces. Memorial Services will be at Northdale Baptist Church, Saturday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mansdoerfer officiating.

Garcia -- Jesus R. Garcia, 93, passed away January 16, 2002. He was a resident of Albuquerque since 1912 and was an accomplished cobbler, owning his own shop on 2nd Street near Downtown. He enjoyed gardening, music, reading, bread making, and wine making. Jesus was an active and devout Catholic. He was preceded in death by his wife Refugia"Cuca" Garcia in 1979 and is survived by his children Rosemarie Tafoya and husband Anthony, Abel Garcia, Mary Macias and husband Elias; grandchildren Dav, Armando, Jabi, Annamarie, Anthony, and Carolyn; great grandchildren Andrea, Antonio, Virginia, Angela, Joshua, Kristian, Pedro, Diego, and Kaitlin; favorite nieces Pauline, Martha, and Lucy; nephew Raymond; numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Friday, January 18, 2002. Holms -- Louise Reese Holms, 94, a resident of Tijeras since 1982, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2002. She is survived by her son, John P. Holms and wife, Karin of Des Moines, IA; daughter, Barbara Gentry and husband, Wilbur of Tijeras; one grandson, John Gentry and wife, Cinamon of Albuquerque; and sister, Glenda Beltz of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pynchon Holms in 1961. Louise met Frank in Lincoln, NE. The couple eloped to be married in Reno, NV on June 27, 1939, and then settled in Sidney, NE in 1943. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1931 with a degree in education and taught in a one-room schoolhouse. She later went to business school in Lincoln, NE and worked for Bankers Life Insurance Co. Upon the death of her husband, she continued running their accounting business until her retirement in 1982. Louise was an accomplished visual artist working in watercolor and clay. She loved music, particularly opera, and sang soprano in the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church choir in Sidney for many years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Jordan -- J. P. "Jerry" Jordan, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2002. Mr. Jordan was born in Fort Smith, AR on December 16, 1922. Kohlhaas -- Leona R. Kohlhaas, 94, died Sunday, January 13, 2002 at her home. Born on June 24, 1907 to a pioneer family in Gallup, Territory of New Mexico, she graduated from high school at the age of fourteen. After attending business school for a year and working for another year, she enrolled at the University of New Mexico from which she graduated in 1928. While at the University, Leona was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Mortar Board and Phi Kappa Phi honorary fraternity. Following her graduation she worked as the secretary to the president of the University, Dr. James F. Zimmerman, until her marriage to Lewis O. Kohlhaas, which took place in the president's home on May 1, 1933. Leona was active in Church Women United and served as a member of the Albuquerque Public Library Advisory Board. She was a charter member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church. Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis in 1987 and her daughter, Virginia K. Gallagher in 1989. She is survived by her son, Lt. Col. U.S.A.F., (Ret.), Richard L. Kohlhaas and his wife, Barbara of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her daughter, Marilyn K. Shannon and her husband, Del of Kettering, Ohio; her son, Dr. Charles A. Kohlhaas and his wife, Judith of El Paso, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 211 Jefferson NE, with Reverend Harold T. Nilsson and Reverend George A. West officiating. Maes -- Frances "Fran" Maes, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Thursday, January 17, 2002. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Manuel Maes; two daughters, Jackye Buhrle and husband, John and Linda Wildenstein and husband, Joe, all of Albuquerque; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. John "Wanda" Maes of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Chandler "Sybil" King of McKenzie, TN. Mrs. Maes was preceded in death by her son, John D. Maes. She was a member of New Mexico Realtor Association, American Business Women's Association, Naomi Circle at St. John's United Methodist Church and founding member of APS Clothing Bank. Martin -- Ellen E. Martin, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years, died Tuesday, January 15, 2002, of pneumonia, following hip surgery. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ohman Slade; sons, Douglas William Ohman and Robert Carl Ohman and wife, Teresa; and sister, Edith Reed; five grandchildren, Kelly Ashbaugh and husband, Mark, Danny Ohman and wife, Nicolle, David Ohman, Deani Ohman and Carly Ohman; one great-grandchild, Christine Marie Ashbaugh; numerous sisters-in-law, including Eva Koskimaki and husband, George, Sally Ohman, Marion Ohman and Agnes Metsa; numerous nieces and nephews, including favorites, Doris Armstrong Radgowski, Patricia Ohman Maki, Christine Koskimaki Attalai, Nancy Londberg Reed, Delores Londberg Macy, and John Kolehmainen. She loved her family; animals (especially her dogs and cats); her friends, especially her lifelong friend, Gladys Mitchell Rendell, and other surviving friends including Ona Mitchell, Arminta Robinson, Warren T. Slade and Warren M. Slade, Weldon and Dr. Regina Merritt, Elise Laine, June and Tauno Keranen, Alice Brinkley, Florence Hanson, Viola Mackey and Bessie Smith. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her two husbands, Henry Ohman in 1949 who left her alone with three small children; and by Joseph Martin in 1977. She worked tirelessly and alone as a single mother for ten years to keep her family together. She was a member of Christ Unity Church for 40 years. Mrs. Martin retired from Sandia Corporation after 20 years in 1978, where she was a secretary and later a computer analyst. At the time of her retirement, she was honored by Sandia Corporation with an offer to send her to engineering school. However, she chose to do volunteer work in tax preparation for the elderly and as church secretary at Christ Unity Church. She generously devoted herself to others, especially sacrificing herself for her children and grandchildren. Some of her favorite charities were Animal Humane Association, 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM, 87108 and Unity School of Christianity in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Guy Lynch officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Mora -- Mr. Alfonso Mora died Thursday, January 17, 2002 at Manor Care Camino Vista in Albuquerque at the age of 87. Mr. Mora was born on May 22, 1914 in Escobosa, NM and lived in Albuquerque most of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mora; father, Elias Mora; mother, Matilda Lucero; and brother, Manuel Mora. Mr. Mora is survived by his daughter, Mary Lillie Salazar and husband, Placido; grandchildren, Carl Salazar and wife, Cindy of San Jose, CA, Sam Salazar and wife, Patricia, George Salazar and wife, Angela, and Carmen Sanchez and husband, Edward; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alejandra Saavedra and husband, Alejandro; nephew, Manuel Mora; and five cousins. Otero -- Marcelino (Max) Otero Sr., 86, a resident of Paloma Blanca Rehabilitation Center, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2002 after a lengthy illness. He was born in San Antonito, NM. on July 23, 1915. He moved to Albuquerque when he was a child and continued to live here until his death. Max is survived by his sons Max Otero, Jr. and wife Gloria, Joe Frank Otero and wife Mary Lou of Albuquerque; four grandchildren Suzanne Mirabal and husband David, Liz Torres and husband Lawrence, Anthony Otero and wife Loretta of Albuquerque, and Larry Otero and wife Gabriela of El Paso; Seven great-grandchildren Bryan and Meghan Mirabal, Isaiah Torres, Joseph and Rebecca Otero of Albuquerque and Matthew and Larry Otero, Jr. of El Paso. Peixotto -- Col. James M. Peixotto, joined the Lord in heaven on Tuesday, January 15, 2002. He was born at the Presidio of San Francisco on October 23, 1919, the son of an Army officer. During his youth he lived on many army bases in the United States and overseas. Upon his graduation from the University of California, Berkeley, he became an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers and served during WWII in Panama, protecting the Panama Canal, and then with General Patton in Europe until the end of the war. Afterwards, he was retained in Europe to reconstruct the destroyed bridges. Returning to the United States in 1945, he held his first-born son. Lt. Peixotto and Margaret Anne Briggs were married in Berkeley, CA after graduating from the University in 1942. During Col. Peixotto's career in the army the family lived in many areas of the United States as well as overseas in Austria and Japan. From 1958 to 1962, Col. Peixotto served at Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY, building the Atlas Missile Silos during the ¯Cold War¯. Then he served one year (without his family) in Korea before moving to Albuquerque in 1963. He was assigned to Sandia Base with W.E.T. (Weapons Effects Testing), which meant many trips to the Nevada Test Site. He received a special award for devising a way to re-use the underground nuclear test tunnels for more than one test. After retirement from the army he worked for E.G.& G. and finally ¯retired¯ to build a family log cabin in the mountains with his own hands; and also became an avid fly fisherman. Col. Peixotto was greatly loved by all his family: his wife, Margaret; son, Col. David Elliot and wife, Elise; daughter, Mary Catharine Bradford and husband, John Bradford; son, James Lloyd Peixotto and wife, Patti; and daughter, Barbara Comstock. His eight grandchildren were his treasures: Jessica and David Mac Peixotto, Jack and Elizabeth Bradford, James R., Becky and Robert Peixotto and Christopher Comstock-Lombardi. Col. Peixotto's grandfather, Col. S.R. Dishman and his father, Brig. General E.M. Peixotto, along with two brothers, Col. Roland E. Peixotto and Lt. General Ernest D. Price -- Lena K. Price, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, January 13, 2002. Lena was born on March 14, 1920 to Richard and Edna Betsy Keeton in Creelsboro, Kentucky. Her father was the Jamestown city jailer, a farmer, barber, and at times assisted the FBI. Her mother was a hotel cook, bomb plant employee, homemaker, sales clerk, organist, Church missionary member, and jail keeper. She is survived by her five children, William Dennis Price, and wife, Erika, of Albuquerque, Janice Hennink, and husband, Bob of Grand Rapids, MI, Terry Glenn Price and wife, Sarah of Albuquerque, Peggy (Margaret) Sue Homan and husband, Paul of Albuquerque, and Kelly Bo Price of Livermore, CA; 13 grandchildren, Don Price and wife, Becky of Houston, TX, Heidi Kaminski and husband, Bob of Grand Haven, MI, Shelly Davis and husband, Alan, Todd Hennink, and Brenda Hennink, all of Grand Rapids, MI, Jackie Crumpley and husband, Carl, Sandy Price, Billy Price, all of Albuquerque, Mark Bieniarz of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Christina Vasquez and husband, Mario, of Albuquerque, Tanya Homan Stanley and husband, Michael of Franklin, TN, Kristy Price of Albuquerque, and Staci Price of Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Nichole Davis and Connor Gerrit Davis, all of Grand Rapids, MI, William Dennis Price, Jr., of California, Dawn Price of Texas, and Luke Peter Vasquez of Albuquerque; brother, Richard (Dick) Keeton and wife, Katie of Ann Arbor, MI; sister, Margaret Mastie and husband, Frank of Jamestown, KY; and two special friends, Ann Thomas and Billie Dytzel, both of Albuquerque. Lena was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, William Titus (Bo) Price Jr. who was employed by Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque. Married at the age of 16, Lena and her husband moved from Kentucky to Ann Arbor, MI where she worked for Argus Photography in Optics and Camera assembling. In 1951, they moved to Albuquerque, where she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. A 49-year member of Sandia Church of the Nazarene, Lena served on the Church Board. She was active in Women's Ministries as a wedding consultant, baby and wedding shower coordinator and decorations committee member. She was a Church School teacher, choir member, and church greeter. Lena was the District Troop Organizer for the New Mexico Girl Scout Chaparral Council. For 35 years, she was employed by the New Mexico Lung Association as Fund Raiser Coordinator. Her favorites were her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and loving others. She was an expert seamstress, avid reader. She enjoyed cooking, catering, creative crafts, teaching, traveling, and organizing. Most of all were her memories of the"Dogwood Winters" in Kentucky where the creeks began running and the flowers bloomed. She took time to smell the flowers, like Queen Ann's Lace and roses. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Lena was committed to her belief that"Our children are the future of our country." She believed in a college education. She was a person whom people loved for her loyalty, convictions, graciousness, and sense of humor. She will be remembered as a person with dignity and as one who was an inspiration to many. She believed in the Word and her favorite scriptures were: John 3:16, Psalms 118:23, and 24 and James 3:17. When asked what has seemed to be the most important part of her life, she replied,"From the time I was born until now, God has played the most important part. Without Him, I would not be the person that I am today, and I would not enjoy my life to its fullest." Robertson -- Katherine S. Robertson, 66, passed away on January 16, 2002 while vacationing in London, England. She was the owner of Pro-Mark Management Inc. and had been in the real estate rental business for 24 years. She was born in Ohio, lived in London as a teenager, and has lived in Albuquerque since 1957. She was a passionate golfer, avid bridge player and a great cook. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Edward (L) Jim Robertson; her sons, Robert Sargent, Scott Sargent; and her daughter, Kim Bailey; her daughter-in-laws, Melissa Sargent and Alicia Sullivan. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Skyler Sargent, Colton Sargent, Stephan Sargent, Brittney Shea Sargent, Christopher Sargent, Joseph Sargent, and Brittney Sargent. Rogers -- Elaine M. Rogers, 81, a 20-year resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, January 16, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Rosamond Rogers-Wilson and husband, Alan Wilson of Albuquerque; son, Michele Rogers and wife, Christina of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nathan, Ariel, and Collin; and daughter-in-law, Diane Ignaccolo. Elaine was an Air Force flight nurse during WWII and The Korean.Conflict. She flew into Normandy 5 days after D-Day to care for the wounded. Elaine now joins her youngest son, James in heaven. Salsman -- Tina Salsman, age 44, died on January 14, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. Tina was born in Everett, Washington to Thomas and Nancy Munhall Petitclerc. She married Gary Salsman in August 1974 in Oak Harbor, WA, and they moved to the Albuquerque area two years ago. Tina was an avid gardener of vegetables, flowers, and houseplants and a wonderful cook. She collected antiques and was a lover of animals. As Gary's soul mate and best friend, her family meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by two brothers; and a grandson. Sanchez -- Anthony Eliud Sanchez, 52, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on January 16, 2002 after a courageous five year battle with multiple myeloma. Anthony is survived by his parents, Eliud (Leo) and Agnes Sanchez; his companion and love of his life, Virginia (Jennifer) Jaramillo; sisters, Christina Xylas and Rosalind Hodovance; brother, Raymond Sanchez; daughters, Loretta Pina of Las Cruces and Lynn Anaya of Roswell; sons, Antonio and Marcos of Fresno, CA and Angelo and Aaron of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Brandon Lee Pina and Izabella Anaya. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. We who loved him will miss his humor, love of music and gentle spirit. Santillanes -- Andrew Santillanes, age 74, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home to be with the Lord our Savior, Tuesday, January 15, 2002, while surrounded by his loving family. Andrew was born in Cuba, NM to the late Porfilio and Natividad Santillanes; he was a resident of Albuquerque; and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, since 1951. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, who served our country during World War II; he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter III and the American Legion Post #99. Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dorothy Santillanes of the family home; his precious daughter, Florence Seis and husband, Stuart; his loving grandchildren, Joseph Sandoval and wife, Antoinette, Jennifer Lord and husband, Mark. Also surviving are, his Goddaughter, Elisa Nolasco; and his beloved nephew, Samuel Paul Nolasco; one sister, Corina Mora and husband, Horacio; his father-in-law, Meliton Nolasco; brothers-in-law, Tranquilino Gutierrez and Samuel Salazar; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Andrew will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Serrano -- Jose Luciano Serrano, age 90, passed away January 15, 2002 at the Guadalupe County Hospital in Santa Rosa in the arms of his loving family. Luciano was born September 11, 1911 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Simon and Petrita Chavez Serrano. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. He married Mary Martinez on April 21, 1933 in Santa Rosa. Luciano owned and operated the Coronado Courts in Santa Rosa for several years and was the Truck Line Freight Agent for Navajo and ICX for over 30 years. He was a resident of Albuquerque since 1986 and was a member of the Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Luciano loved his family, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will truly be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Serrano in 1990; his great-grandson, Michael Charles Anthony Campos in 1992; and his sister, Eslinda Sanchez in 1994. Shipp -- Clyde Norman "Jack" Shipp, 87, passed away peacefully January 14, 2002 at the Mission Arch Care Center in Roswell, NM. He was born October 6, 1914 on the family farm near Atlanta, Missouri. During his early adult life, he worked as a welder for heavy machinery manufacturers and played professional baseball in the Midwest for several years. In 1942, he was drafted into the Army Air Corps and served his country with distinction as a noncommissioned officer during World War II, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam War, retiring in 1968 with over 26 years of service. Upon retirement, Jack returned to the small but lively Hummingbird Ranch with his devoted wife, Toni, where they spent many happy years tending their menagerie of livestock. During these years they made numerous friendships with others sharing their love of animals. He is survived by two sons, W.R. Shipp and wife, Jackie of Las Cruces, NM; Jack N. Shipp of Mesa, AZ; and three grandchildren, Marc Shipp of Las Cruces, NM, Cindy Stone of Ft. Collins, CO and Billyjak Shipp of Carr, CO. He was preceded in death in 1992 by Ninnes Neola"Toni" Shipp, his beloved wife and constant companion. Stanford -- Dolores Daggett Stanford passed on Wednesday morning, January 16, 2002 at her home. She was born November 25, 1923, in Garden City, SD. She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Nelson and father, Helmer Nelson. Dolores was raised in Minneapolis, MN. After graduation from high school, she worked for a year before moving to San Diego, CA. After World War II, she moved to New Mexico and this would be"home" for the most part with the exception of two years in Idaho and five years in Venezuela. In New Mexico, she resided in Pecos, Los Alamos, Espanola, Chama and Rio Rancho. Employment included numerous types of jobs during WWII while accompanying her husband, Charles Daggett during military training, along with employment, at Los Alamos with both the Zia Company and the University of California. In 1989, she retired from the New Mexico State Highway Department after 14 years of service. In 1982, she married Jack Stanford. One of her greatest pleasures was enjoying sunrises and sunsets with her husband, Jack along with traveling in their RV. She took great pleasure being mother to her two children, as well as a grandmother to her grandson. Other pleasures included her many friends, playing bridge, gardening and sewing. She is survived by husband, Jack Stanford; children, Kathy Brock and Kevin Daggett; daughter-in-law, Lauren Daggett and grandson, Colton Daggett. She is also survived by two step-children, Jeffery Stanford and Brian Stanford; step-grandson, William Stanford; her two brothers, Donald Nelson and Wayne Nelson; sister-in-law, Luraine Nelson; two nephews and four nieces. After cremation, she will be put to rest at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. A Memorial Service will be held at Vista Verde Memorial Park and Mortuary, 4310 Sara Road, SE Rio Rancho, NM at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2002. Thompson -- Willa Mae Thompson, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away January 13, 2002. Weaver -- Elva Mae "Sis" Weaver, 73, a longtime Albuquerque resident, died quietly at her home Monday, January 14, 2002. She is survived by her children, John L. Weaver of Albuquerque, Trish Wahe of Las Cruces and Susan Thompson and her husband, Stan of Kodiak, AK. Sis is also survived by her three grandchildren, Sarah and Sam Thompson of Kodiak, AK and Christopher Wahe of Las Cruces; as well as many caring nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weaver was a longtime and active member of Monte Vista Christian Church. She spent countless hours volunteering at her church and at the storehouse. Mrs. Weaver was also a beloved member of the group Sew N Sew that sewed clothing for children and donated them to the Storehouse.
