Elva Mae "Sis" Weaver, 73, a longtime Albuquerque resident, died quietly at her home Monday, January 14, 2002. She is survived by her children, John L. Weaver of Albuquerque, Trish Wahe of Las Cruces and Susan Thompson and her husband, Stan of Kodiak, AK. Sis is also survived by her three grandchildren, Sarah and Sam Thompson of Kodiak, AK and Christopher Wahe of Las Cruces; as well as many caring nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weaver was a longtime and active member of Monte Vista Christian Church. She spent countless hours volunteering at her church and at the storehouse. Mrs. Weaver was also a beloved member of the group Sew N Sew that sewed clothing for children and donated them to the Storehouse. Memorial Services will be held Friday, 3:00 p.m., at Monte Vista Christina Church, 3501 Campus Blvd. NE, with Rev. David Sallee officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tres Rios Growth Center, Monte Vista Christian church, 3501 Campus Blvd. NE, 87106. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
