Obituary for Rogers

Elaine M. Rogers, 81, a 20-year resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, January 16, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Rosamond Rogers-Wilson and husband, Alan Wilson of Albuquerque; son, Michele Rogers and wife, Christina of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Nathan, Ariel, and Collin; and daughter-in-law, Diane Ignaccolo. Elaine was an Air Force flight nurse during WWII and The Korean.Conflict. She flew into Normandy 5 days after D-Day to care for the wounded. Elaine now joins her youngest son, James in heaven. Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2002, 10:00 a.m., Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Michele Rogers, Alan Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Lional McKinney and Delbert Melikan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn.
