Sanchez -- Anthony Eliud Sanchez, 52, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ on January 16, 2002 after a courageous five year battle with multiple myeloma. Anthony is survived by his parents, Eliud (Leo) and Agnes Sanchez; his companion and love of his life, Virginia (Jennifer) Jaramillo; sisters, Christina Xylas and Rosalind Hodovance; brother, Raymond Sanchez; daughters, Loretta Pina of Las Cruces and Lynn Anaya of Roswell; sons, Antonio and Marcos of Fresno, CA and Angelo and Aaron of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Brandon Lee Pina and Izabella Anaya. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. We who loved him will miss his humor, love of music and gentle spirit. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Sandia Hospice or New Mexico Boys Ranch. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE. His cremated remains will be placed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date by his family.
