Mr. Alfonso Mora died Thursday, January 17, 2002 at Manor Care Camino Vista in Albuquerque at the age of 87. Mr. Mora was born on May 22, 1914 in Escobosa, NM and lived in Albuquerque most of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mora; father, Elias Mora; mother, Matilda Lucero; and brother, Manuel Mora. Mr. Mora is survived by his daughter, Mary Lillie Salazar and husband, Placido; grandchildren, Carl Salazar and wife, Cindy of San Jose, CA, Sam Salazar and wife, Patricia, George Salazar and wife, Angela, and Carmen Sanchez and husband, Edward; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alejandra Saavedra and husband, Alejandro; nephew, Manuel Mora; and five cousins. Funeral Services for Mr. Mora will be held on Saturday at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Salazar, Sam Salazar, George Salazar, Rosendo Saavedra, Eddie Alfaro and Edward Sanchez. A Rosary for Mr. Mora will be recited on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
