Beitler -- Melvin R. Beitler, 89, born in St. Johnťs, KS on January 6, 1913 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1991, expired Tuesday, April 2, 2002. He is survived by his son, Rick Beitler; his daughter, Catherine Leming; five grandchildren, Byron Leming, Charissa Browne, Taralyn Amen, Becca Beitler and Brad Beitler; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriella Browne, Isabelle Browne and Luke Amen. Mr. Beitler was a Master Mason and a lifetime member of Byers Lodge #152 A.F. & A.M. He will be missed. We love you, Pop. Thanks for everything! Chavez -- Concepcion"Connie" G. Chavez. 83, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002. She is survived by sons, Ramon Chavez and wife, Helen, John Chavez, Jerry Chavez and wife, Anita, and Larry Chavez; daughters, Irene Gail and Angie Bazar and husband, Frank, all of Albuquerque; two brothers and one sister; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Chavez and daughter, Toni Hill of Phoenix, AZ. Davis -- Annie Frances Davis, 76, a resident of Belen, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 02, 2002. She was a member of the Protestant Church and the Lord was always in her heart. She retired from the Civil Air Patrol at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM. Annie's grandchildren were very special to her and she loved all of her family dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucius and Flossie Davis; her son, Thomas Begley; and her two brothers, L.B. and Billy Davis. She is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Frances Harris and Gene Bezzeg of Belen; her son, Timmy Davis and his fiancée, Stephanie Jaramillo of Belen; her six grandchildren, Jodie Lucero; Leslie Villa; Donald and Scott Harris; Thomas and Vincent Begley; three great-grandchildren, Remie Sanchez; Dakota Lucero; and Amber. She is also survived by her brother, Wylie Davis and his wife, Barbara of Hayward, CA. and her many loving nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2002, in the Romero Funeral Home Chapel at 12:30 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Albuquerque. Delgado -- A. Paul Delgado, 76, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille; two sons, Paul Delgado and his wife, Deborah and Tim Delgado and his wife, Denise; two daughters, Cynthia Bauer and her husband, Dennis and Marcia Delgado; grandchildren, Lisa Delgado, Kristy Torrez, Michelle Delgado, Erica Padilla, Sara Ramos, Kelly Bauer, Danielle Bauer, Laura Delgado, Michael Sisneros, Samantha Ramos, Andrew Delgado and Deanna Delgado; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Savannah Simpson and Dreanna Valencia. Mr. Delgado served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He received a Bachelor's and Masterťs Degree in Education from New Mexico Highlands University. Mr. Delgado touched many young lives during his 30-year tenure with the Albuquerque Public School System. His loving presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Dillion -- Robert W. Dillion April 4, 1920 - March 15, 2002 Preceded in death by daughter, Lana Dillion Warner Levi. He received American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. He was a farmer, motel owner and worked for Anderson Glass Co. for 18 years. A dear and wonderful man, loved by many.

Fenner -- Richard J. Fenner, Sr., 64, a resident of Conchas Dam, died Monday, April 1, 2002. He was born in Erie, PA March 5, 1938. He is survived by his wife, Judith Fenner of Conchas Dam, sons, Richard Fenner, Jr. and wife, Monica of Tucumcari, Michael Fenner and wife, Marilyn of Taos, Kurt Fenner and wife, Megan of Morarity, and Mark Fenner and wife, Tracy of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Kyle, Sarah, and Kolten Fenner, all of Morarity, Ava Fenner of Rio Rancho, and Melissa Fenner of Taos; brother Charles Fenner and wife, Milly of Erie, PA; sisters, Betty Page of Erie, PA, Jane Covel of Corry, PA, Mary Lou Pildner and husband, Edward of Crainsville, PA, and Lynette Pildner and husband, John of Ashtabula, OH. Mr. Fenner graduated from University of Albuquerque as a Registered Nurse and worked at UNMH. Ferrero -- Lisa E. Ferrero, age 88, passed away in Albuquerque, Sunday, March 31, 2002. She was a resident of Stockton, California for 49 years and has resided in Albuquerque since 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ernest D. Ferrero. She is survived by her children, Ernie Ferrero and his wife, Ardyth of Redmond, Washington and Gloria Flynn and her husband, Roger of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her sister, Lorraine Butcher of Stockton, California; six, grandchildren - Susan Radford of Marysville, Washington, Todd Flynn of Menlo Park, California, Richard Self of Renton, Washington, Steven Greene of Redmond, Washington, Matt Flynn and his wife, Theresa of Raleigh, North Carolina and Lisa Diebler and her husband, Kendall of Reno, Nevada; seven 7 great-grandchildren and four nieces. Lisa retired in 1978 after 26 years as the secretary of an Elementary School in Stockton, California where she touched thousands of young lives. She was a caring, loving and affirmative person who was a role model in every aspect of her life. She was a cherished participant in the New Heart Cardiac Rehab Program here in Albuquerque. Burial will be in Stockton, Calfornia. A Memorial Service will be held in Albuquerque on Sunday, April 21, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at The Summit Apartment Clubroom, 3901 Indian School Rd. N.E. Fitzpatrick -- Arlene O. Fitzpatrick, went Home on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2002 in the presence of her loving family. The daughter of Jack and Lillie Dickman Fragale, she was born in Maxwell, New Mexico, March 11, 1921. Following the death of her father, Arlene's mother married George Pathos who became a father to Arlene and her sister, Edna. For many years Arlene was the catering director at UNM, and she was also a long-time and very active member of the Believers Center of Albuquerque. Arlene is survived by her son, Richard Fitzpatrick and his wife, Marge of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Richard and Robert Fitzpatrick of Providence, RI, and Raymond and Bennett Lindsey of Albuquerque; and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are her sister, Edna George of Albuquerque; her niece, Carol Brown and husband, Paul; her great-niece, Gay Dawn Faulkner and husband, Richard, and their children, all of Albuquerque, and by many dear and special friends. Gallegos -- R. Paul Gallegos, 43, passed away March 31, 2002. A native New Mexican, he served in the United States Marine Corps. Giron -- Alfred A."JFK" Giron died Tuesday, April 02, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 53. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Paiz Giron and Luis Giron. Lowery -- Juanita M. Lowery, 91, passed away Monday, April 1, 2002. She was born April 16, 1910 in Springfield, MO to Cora Belle Cottner Moley and James B. Motley. Juanita married Garland Reed and moved to Albuquerque in 1939. She later married William Lowery. Mrs. Lowery raised four children: Marian Clayton, Robert Reed, Shirley Harty and Jacquelyn Buckhanan; adopted children; Myrtle Jean Herndon and Robert Harty; grandchildren, Jan Solomon and husband, Alex, Michael Clayton and wife, Jeri, Roderick Clayton and wife, Audrey, Marsha Silva and husband, John, Mark Harty and wife, Diane, David Harty, Steven Buckhanan and wife, Veda, Shawn Buckhanan and wife, Rosalind, and Sandie Lucero; great-grandchildren, Alex Jr., Kent Solomon, Michael and Cameron Clayton, Shawnda and Sandy Silva, Krystal, Kimberly, William Clayton, Adria and Julia Harty; great-great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Trae, Kennedy, Kianna, Honoree Solomon, Lian, Steven, Schellie, Simone, Stanton, Shawn and Solomon Buckhanan; and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.G. Lowery. Mrs. Lowery was a member for over 60 years at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She served in many capacities: Sunday school teacher, pianist and director of choir and Young Matron organization, originator of the youth choir, and directed plays and pageants. Mrs. Lowery was Pastored by Stephen Billingslea. She most recently served as secretary of her Missionary Society. Mrs. Lowery was a member and past president of Winona Art and Study Club, National Council of Negro Women, NAACP, Mt. Olive District Association, a former member of the League of Women Voters and the New Mexico Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc. She received many citations for her church work and service to the community. Services will be held Friday, 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2401 University Blvd. SE, with Rev. Michael Clayton and Rev. Shawn Buckhanan officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Massimo -- Richard Joseph Massimo, 66, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 40 years, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2002. Richard was born June 14, 1935, the son of Angelo and Helen Massimo in Slickville, PA (both deceased). He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosemary A. Massimo; his sister and her husband, Theresa M. and Wayne Bush, both of Latrobe, PA; his sister-in-law, Patricia E. Gonzales; his brother-in-law, Steve D. Stephens and his wife, Debbie; and four children, Ramona C. Massimo-Simmons and husband, Lamarr, Richard L. Massimo and wife, Lisa; G. Raymond Massimo and fiancé, Theresa, and Rhonda J. Haycox, and husband, Chris. Nine grandchildren, Anita M. Pohl, Joshua, Jessie and Clarice Massimo, Tristen Portzman, Jacqueline, Alicia and Jolene Sun, Andrea Haycox and one great-grandchild, Ashley Nicole Pohl, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends. Richard met wife, Rosemary while on active duty at Kirtland AFB, here in Albuquerque, NM. They married in 1956 and were immediately transferred to Germany. They returned stateside in 1958 where after another two-years of active service, Richard returned to civilian life and began working for AT&T where he retired as a second-level manager in 1989. A talented artist, sculptor and painter, Richard spent many hours reproducing the beautiful southwestern scenery he loved so dearly. Viewing will be made available to all family and friends at Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 225 San Mateo NE on Sunday, April 7th from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. A reception will be held from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. that same evening at the family home located at 8025 Fruit Avenue NE. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Parish at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8th at 11:00 am. Internment will follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be: sons, Richard and Raymond Massimo, sons-in-law, Christopher Haycox and Lamarr Simmons; nephew, Salvador Gonzales; and nephew-in-law, Eric Hieber. Meade -- Michael Joseph Mead died after a short illness on March 28, 2002. He was born on March 11, 1944 in Brewer, ME. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline M. Griffin and Joseph Michael Meade. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Juanita Ramirez Meade; son, Michael Paul and wife, Gina of Phoenix, AZ; son, Christopher Alan of San Antonio, TX; sister, Polly Ann and husband, Don Myser of Meridian, ID; brother, William Patrick Meade of Bangor, ME; sister-in-law, Jane Meade of Brewer ME; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Abigail and Michael Bryce; two cousins, Theresa Tracy and Barbara Constitine both of Bangor, ME; several nephews and nieces. Michael worked for General Motors for 14 years at the South Gate Plant in California and 18 years at the Oklahoma City Plant where he was a member of UAW Local 1999. He loved the outdoors, the sun and gardening. Miller -- David W. Miller, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Sunday, March 31, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma E. Miller; son, Mike Miller, and former daughter-in law, Becky Romero and grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin and Steven; son, Jim Miller his wife, Lynn and grandchildren, Daniel and Rebecca; and son, Doug Miller. Mr. Miller was a WWII Veteran in the Army Corp. of Engineers, a Veteran of the Pacific Theatre, and a Purple Heart recipient. He loved fishing and bowling. Mr. Miller was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union #1319, a member of the VFW and the Order of the Purple Heart. Moore -- Elizabeth Moore, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Monday, April 1, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Byrel A. Moore; son, Darrell E. Moore, both of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Jonathon Byrel Moore and Sarah Meyer, both of Phoenix, AZ; and brother, Austin Albert of Aztec, NM. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her two brothers; and one sister. She was born and raised in Roswell and graduated from Roswell High School in 1936. Mrs. Moore worked as a beautician in both Roswell and Albuquerque. In 1947 and 1948 she won second place in State Hair Dressers Association competition and retiring in 1951. Myers -- Donald Myers (May 15, 1932 - April 2, 2002) is in the Lord's hands as he said in his own words shortly before he left to join his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and other loved ones who preceded him in death. He was a strong Christian example with a kind heart. He faithfully attended Eastern Hills Baptist Church and Manzano Baptist Church. He served his country in the Army during the 1950's. He will be greatly missed until the day his family is reunited with him in heaven. He was the devoted husband of Margaret; loving father of Terri (Chuck), Mark (Francine), Sue, Buzzy (Sherri), Matt (Michelle), Donnie (Amy); best and proud grandfather of Chuck II (Chris), Shannon (Dennis), Jeff, Buddy, Elizabeth, Danielle, Dee Dee, Justin, Dylan, Brandyn and Noah; devoted great-grandfather of Andrew, Zach, Abigail and Baby Groves on the way; brother of Bobby (Cathy); brother-in-law and special friend of Ernest Alvrez; caring uncle of several nieces and nephews. Naranjo -- Mr. Delfin B. Naranjo, 77, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 3, 2002. Mr. Naranjo is survived by his loving children, Deborah Espinoza and husband, Bobby, Robert Naranjo and wife, Julia, Mark Naranjo and wife, Linda and Budgie Naranjo and wife, Carla; two sisters, Agnes Metzgar and husband, Archie, Estella Espinosa and husband, Manuel; a friend, Minnie Harper; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Naranjo is preceded in death by his parents, Delfin and Gertrude Naranjo; a brother, Louie and a sister, Margaret. Mr. Naranjo was a member of the Catholic Church, a member of the D.A.V., and member of the Holy Rosary Choir, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War I I, served in the Europeon Theater Operations and he received the Good Conduct Medal. A viewing will be Friday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final viewing will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Price -- Vivian M. Coulter Price, 101, a resident of Santa Fe since 1943, died Monday, April 1, 2002. Vivian was born December 16, 1900 in Raton, NM. She married J. Wayne Price December 22, 1926 in Tucumcari, NM. Mrs. Price was a member of Los Jardineras Garden Club and Holy Faith Guild of the Church of the Holy Faith in Santa Fe. Rathjen -- Carolyn M. Rathjen, 85, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 30 years, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2002. Carolyn was born December 5, 1916 the daughter of Frederick and Anna Ebel Triebe in New York. She was the beloved wife of Carl Henry Rathjen who preceded her in death. She was the loving mother of Carl, Howard, and Warren; Guiding light for Ana, Ann Marie, Lisa, and Lynne; Good friend of Bunny, Marie, Marion, Mildred, Terry, Toni and Vera. Carolyn was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church; member of the Altar Rosary Society; member of the Felician Auxiliary; and a member of the St. Felix Pantry volunteer program. The Memorial Rosary Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish with a reception to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Fr. D'Arco Parish Hall. Robinson -- William (Bill) L. Robinson, 69, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, following an extended illness. Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Robinson; children, Dale Robinson and wife, Dana, of St. Louis, MO, Rhonda Wineland and husband, Adrian, and Michael Robinson, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Keith and Bryce Robinson and Rebekah and Stephen Wineland; brother, Paul Robinson and sister, Martha Smith and husband, George. In 1970, the Robinson family moved to Albuquerque where Bill began working as a campus minister at the Christian Student Center, serving the University of New Mexico. He retired from campus ministry in 1995 and worked five years as a licensed Christian counselor at Mountainside Church of Christ. Bill served as an elder for 35 years in both University and Mountainside Churches of Christ in Albuquerque. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, the Christian Student Center and Sandia Youth Camp. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, granddad, brother, teacher, counselor, mentor, elder and friend. His love for people was exceeded only by his love for God. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Mountainside Church of Christ, 12300 Indian School Rd., located on the corner of Indian School and Chelwood Park. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, April 5, 2002, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Stivers -- James E. Stivers, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1990, died Thursday, March 28, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Geraldine Stivers; daughters, Cheryl Post and husband, Lee, all of Albuquerque, Connie Stivers of Oklahoma City, OK and Sandra Pollard of Portland, OR; brothers, John Stivers of Las Vegas, NV and Ross Stivers of Poteau, OK; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Sadie Stivers; brother, Roy Stivers, all of Wilburton, OK; and sisters, Dorothy Naush of McAlester, OK and Mary Ellen Esserman of Wilburton, OK. James was born on October 5, 1920 in Wilburton, OK. He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University, in Stillwater, OK with a degree in Agriculture. James served in WWII, was a recipient of the Bronze Star and received an honorable discharge from the Army Air Corps. He retired after 30 years as a Land Operations Officer and Land Appraiser, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Department of Interior in 1985. Mr. Stivers was an active Freemason associated with the lodge in Jones, OK. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, April 5, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo NE, with Pastor Jeff Lust officiating. Tuttle -- Mary Martha Tuttle, 67, of Las Cruces, NM died on Sunday, March 31, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Tuttle was born June 30, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to William Howard Early and Thelma Marguerite Hobbs Early. She married Gary Tuttle on June 3, 1961 in Austin, Texas and came to the Las Cruces area over six years ago. Mrs. Tuttle was very active in her community and church, volunteering for all of her children, grandchildren and church activities. Her family and especially her grandchildren were her joy in life. Her volunteer work with the Hands of Luke Medical Ministry was her passion and she was always guided by her faith and her love of Jesus Christ. Mrs. Tuttle is survived by her husband, Gary of the family home; her children, Jeannine Marie Tuttle and companion, Penny Parrish and their son, Jerry Lee, Robert Charles Tuttle, fiancee, Jeanne Karler and her children, Markus and Cameron Karler, Kileen Ann Squibb, her husband, Dick Allen Squibb and their children, Maegan Caroline and Zachary Allen Squibb and Julie Gail Tuttle and her son, Christian Dean, and sister, Sarah Jeannine Landes. Mrs. Tuttle will lie in state from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2002 with visitation with family from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Graham Mortuary. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Northminister Presbyterian Church with Dr. Marco Samaniego, El Paso, TX, Dr. Terry Colley, of Austin, TX and Pastor Timothy Smith of Northminister Presbyterian Church officiating.
