Michael Joseph Mead died after a short illness on March 28, 2002. He was born on March 11, 1944 in Brewer, ME. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline M. Griffin and Joseph Michael Meade. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Juanita Ramirez Meade; son, Michael Paul and wife, Gina of Phoenix, AZ; son, Christopher Alan of San Antonio, TX; sister, Polly Ann and husband, Don Myser of Meridian, ID; brother, William Patrick Meade of Bangor, ME; sister-in-law, Jane Meade of Brewer ME; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Abigail and Michael Bryce; two cousins, Theresa Tracy and Barbara Constitine both of Bangor, ME; several nephews and nieces. Michael worked for General Motors for 14 years at the South Gate Plant in California and 18 years at the Oklahoma City Plant where he was a member of UAW Local 1999. He loved the outdoors, the sun and gardening. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Drive NW by Father Frank Prieto.
