Myers -- Donald Myers (May 15, 1932 - April 2, 2002) is in the Lord's hands as he said in his own words shortly before he left to join his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and other loved ones who preceded him in death. He was a strong Christian example with a kind heart. He faithfully attended Eastern Hills Baptist Church and Manzano Baptist Church. He served his country in the Army during the 1950's. He will be greatly missed until the day his family is reunited with him in heaven. He was the devoted husband of Margaret; loving father of Terri (Chuck), Mark (Francine), Sue, Buzzy (Sherri), Matt (Michelle), Donnie (Amy); best and proud grandfather of Chuck II (Chris), Shannon (Dennis), Jeff, Buddy, Elizabeth, Danielle, Dee Dee, Justin, Dylan, Brandyn and Noah; devoted great-grandfather of Andrew, Zach, Abigail and Baby Groves on the way; brother of Bobby (Cathy); brother-in-law and special friend of Ernest Alvrez; caring uncle of several nieces and nephews. Services will be held, Saturday, April 6, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Manzano Baptist Church, 12411 Linn Avenue NE with Pastor Larry Miller and Pastor Bert Singletary officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Dave Myers, Donny Myers, Matt Myers, Mark Myers, Chuck Starkey II, Buddy Witwer and Jeff Starkey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chuck Starkey and Dennis Groves. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE., Friday, April 5, 2002, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
