Obituary for Miller

David W. Miller, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Sunday, March 31, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma E. Miller; son, Mike Miller, and former daughter-in law, Becky Romero and grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin and Steven; son, Jim Miller his wife, Lynn and grandchildren, Daniel and Rebecca; and son, Doug Miller. Mr. Miller was a WWII Veteran in the Army Corp. of Engineers, a Veteran of the Pacific Theatre, and a Purple Heart recipient. He loved fishing and bowling. Mr. Miller was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union #1319, a member of the VFW and the Order of the Purple Heart. Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Jerry Minor officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Baptist Church, 1601 Bridge Blvd. SW, 87105 or to New Mexico Baptist Children's Home, Box 629, Portales, NM, 88130. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
