R. Paul Gallegos, 43, passed away March 31, 2002. A native New Mexican, he served in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Epifania Marquez and is survived by his mother, Isabel Gonzales; brothers, Pete Gallegos, Nick Gonzales and wife, Anna, and Gabriel Gonzales; sister, Lisa Sandoval and husband, Fred; brother, Lee Gonzales all of Albuquerque; brother, Billy Gonzales of Santa Rosa, NM.; sisters, Isabel Hobbs of Petersburg, TX., Kathy Gonzales of Los Angeles, CA., Yvonne Zepada and husband, Victor of Los Angeles, CA.; grandfather, Elisario Marquez; girlfriend, Dora Montoya; numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway SE. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2002. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2002 with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Manuel Marquez, Robert and Richard Gutierrez, Fred Sandoval, Jonathon Sandoval, Nafario Maldonado.
