Mary Martha Tuttle, 67, of Las Cruces, NM died on Sunday, March 31, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Tuttle was born June 30, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky to William Howard Early and Thelma Marguerite Hobbs Early. She married Gary Tuttle on June 3, 1961 in Austin, Texas and came to the Las Cruces area over six years ago. Mrs. Tuttle was very active in her community and church, volunteering for all of her children, grandchildren and church activities. Her family and especially her grandchildren were her joy in life. Her volunteer work with the Hands of Luke Medical Ministry was her passion and she was always guided by her faith and her love of Jesus Christ. Mrs. Tuttle is survived by her husband, Gary of the family home; her children, Jeannine Marie Tuttle and companion, Penny Parrish and their son, Jerry Lee, Robert Charles Tuttle, fiancee, Jeanne Karler and her children, Markus and Cameron Karler, Kileen Ann Squibb, her husband, Dick Allen Squibb and their children, Maegan Caroline and Zachary Allen Squibb and Julie Gail Tuttle and her son, Christian Dean, and sister, Sarah Jeannine Landes. Mrs. Tuttle will lie in state from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2002 with visitation with family from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Graham Mortuary. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Northminister Presbyterian Church with Dr. Marco Samaniego, El Paso, TX, Dr. Terry Colley, of Austin, TX and Pastor Timothy Smith of Northminister Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are Shawn Tuttle, Tracy Tuttle, D. A. Beck, Tom Ball, Scott Juliussen, Brandon Burrill, and Sam Mercado. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Hands of Luke Medical Ministry, 11184 Voyager Cove, El Paso, TX 79936.
