Satarain -- In Loving Memory of Gabriel Satarain Jr. May 5, 1921 - July 17, 1991Today is the day The Lord took you away It's only been ten years ago Though it seems like yesterday. God has you in his keeping. We have you in our hearts. A million times we have cried. If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, That no one will ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you That day God called you home. No farewells were spoken There was not time for good-byes You were gone before we knew it And God only knows why. Friends may think that we have forgotten For at times they see us smile. Little do they know the heartache we hide. To some, you may be forgotten To others, a part of the past But to your family and friends who loved you, Your memory will forever last.Love always, your daughter, Geri; your grandsons, Richard and Phillip; and your relatives, Naomi, Mary, Isebelle, and friends.
