Blea -- Isabel R. Blea, 77, of Norborne, MO, died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Carroll House in Carrollton, MO. Mrs. Blea was born November 19, 1923, in Santa Cruz, NM, to Luis and Benigna Maestas. She married Tony E. Blea of Albuquerque, on February 14, 1959; he preceded her in death on July 1, 1994. Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony and Dolores Blea of Las Cruces, Jimmy R. Ross of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Dale Ross of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters and a son-in-law, Connie S. and Larry Shannon, of Norborne, MO, Janice L. Buie, of Norborne, MO; one stepdaughter, Patricia Highfill of Las Cruces; two brothers, Jerry Maestas of Espanola, Phil Maestas of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Mary Naranjo of Espanola, Sally Roybal of Espanola; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one stepson, Tony Blea, Jr., two brothers, Frank Maestas and Simon Maestas; one sister, Ernestine Montoya; and one grandson, Rodney Shannon. Mrs. Blea was a homemaker. She was a Catholic. She had lived in Albuquerque most of her life before moving to Norborne in 1999. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, July 17, 2001, 6:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 18, 2001, 9:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Tuesday, July 17, 2001 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
