Matthew -- Vesta H. Matthew, who lived in Albuquerque most of her life, died June 23, 2001 in Cheyenne, Wy. She was born in Pryorsburg, KY October 8, 1913. She eloped to Bernalillo with Albert LeRoy Matthew who proceeded her in death. They spent most of their 65 years of marriage at 3621 12th Street NW, and later moved to Rio Rancho. Vesta was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Albuquerque and for over 50 years was a member of the I-DEAL Pinochle Club. Her parents were Herman B. and Jettie (Pryor) Hogan. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Kowrach and husband, Ray, of Cheyenne, WY and Linda Robinson and husband, Jim, of Truxton, MO; five grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Elizabeth Gibson, Albuq, June Clark, Albuq, Betty Wilson, Denver, CO, Patty Woods, Austin TX; and a brother, Bill Hogan, of Albuquerque. Services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church at 1004 24th St. SE. 1 blk south of southern Blvd. in rio Rancho.
