Bukovac -- Matthew M. Bukovac, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 44 years, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 14, 2001. He was born October 19, 1916 in Pennsylvania. He is survived by a son, Mike Bukovac and his wife Rhonda, of Sterling, VA.; three daughters, Nancy Robinson, of Ambler, PA, Susan Wall and husband Richard, of Albuquerque, NM, and Dolores Vogl and husband Michael, of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Steven Bukovac, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Joseph Bukovac, of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Agnes Nasta, of Republic, PA.; and eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Matthew was preceded in Death by his wife, Rita V. Bukovac; parents Anthony and Mary Bukovac; two brothers, Anthony Bukovac and Andrew Booky; and a sister, Mary Krnc. Matthew retired from the United States Air Force after 27 years of service. During those years he served during World War II, Korean, and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Warrant Officer. He was a member of American Legion Post 99 in Albuquerque, NM. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, July 17, 2001 at 7:00 PM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St. S.E. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to Holy Ghost Catholic Church and School, in memory of Matthew. Pallbearers will be Richard Wall Jr., Mark Robinson, Ryan Vogl, Raymond Wall, Michael Vogl and Richard Wall. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. S.E. is in charge of arrangements.
