Stella Hazlewood, 90, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2001. She is survived by her children, Jim Hess and wife, Rachel, Howard Hess, Helen Purser, Thomas Hess and wife, Kay, all of Albuquerque and Cathy Hurtgen; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Stella taught three generations at St. Mary's School in Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 17, 2001 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either New Mexico Special Olympics, St. Mary's School or the Charity of your choice. Cremation arrangements by Sunrise Society of New Mexico.
