Dailey -- Lance Corporal Travis Lee, age 18, born in Plano, TX, August 11, 1982, went home to be with his Savior on June 30, 2001. He was the victim of an ATV accident. He loved God, his family, his country, the United States Marine Corp and had a beautiful smile. He is the son of Patrick and Julia Dailey of Spokane, WA. At the time of his death, he was an active member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and serving with Battery"P" 5th Battalion 14th Marine Reserve in Spokane. While growing up in Albuquerque, he was a Life Scout of Troop 185, Cedar Crest, NM; past Master Counselor of the Demolay Metro Chapter, dual member of the Estancia Valley Chapter, he received the NJROTC Outstanding Achievement Award his Senior year 2000, Manzaano High School and was also Company Commander. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Chapel. He is survived at home by his sister Charlotte, Grandparents, Betty Walker of Overton, TX, Tom And Ethel Beene of Arp, TX, Bobby and Jimmi Dailey of Poyner, TX and numerous aunts and uncles in Texas and Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his older sister, Vera Dailey. Memorial Serice will be held at Grace Baptist Chapel, 12201 Comanche, NE, Albuquerque, NM, Tuesday evening 7:00, 296-7163. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund in honor of Travis.
