ARMIJO -- Mary L. Armijo, age 87, a resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 24,2005 at Laurel Health Care in Albuquerque, NM. For the last two months of her life she exhibited grace, dignity and strength in dealing with her brief final illness, and with her gentle manner and wit she continued to inspire her family and friends to the day of her passing. She was born on December 23, 1917 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Henry Cabeza de Vaca and Peregrina Baca. After graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1936, she attended secretarial school in Albuquerque, and became a career woman at the time when there were few opportunities available to a young women. She began working at Kirtland Air Field in the years before WWII. She often recalled the thrill of meeting actor Jimmy Stewart when he visited the base during the war years. In 1939, Mary and her best friend, Mary Jean Armijo (who many years later would become her sister-in-law), pooled their savings and commenced a cross-country journey by rail that took them to the New York World's Trade Fair where she remembered seeing the great Gypsy Rose Lee. Then they traveled on to Washington, DC, where they were guests of family and friends, U.S. Senator Dennis Chavez and Mrs. Chavez. Shortly after the war, she married Luis Armijo and began a career in Las Vegas with the State of New Mexico. She retired from her job as a supervisor with the New Mexico Dept. of Human Services in 1983 after thirty three years of service. During her retirement years, she was actively involved with the New Mexico Public Employees Retirement Association and the efforts to secure better health coverage for state retirees. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, and was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas Court #1301 for over fifty years, State Retirees Association, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Las Vegas Women's Club, AARP and Senior Circle. Her great loves were her grandchildren and New Mexico History. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Cabeza de Vaca and Peregrina Baca; and her loving husband, Luis Armijo; and her father and mother-in-law, District Judge Luis E. Armijo and Eugenia Delgado Armijo. She is survived by her daughters, United States District Judge Christina Armijo, Francesca Armijo, Patricia Armijo Vigil and son-in-law, David; son, Luis E. Armijo II; sister, Dolly Montoya and husband, Rudolph; sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Maas, Carmen A. Blattman and Josephine Harter; her special friends, Nea Escudero and Manuelita Lucero; Comadre, Margaret Geffroy; grandchildren, David and wife Stacey, Deanna Romero and husband Roam, Alyassea Vigil, Lorenzo Vigil and wife, Terecita, Loran Vigil and wife, Lynette, Dawn Matrotti and husband, David, Heather Montoya, Harmoni Krusing, Sterling Krusing; great-grandchildren, Warren Vigil, Olivia Matrotti, Devon Vigil,, Taylor Vigil Joslyn Olivas, Ilyanna Mae Vigil, Carolina Romero and Alexandra Urioste; god-children: Roberto C. Rosary devotional services will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral devotional services will be celebrated on March 30th 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father George Salazar as celebrant. BUTLER -- Dorothee Murphy Butler, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her home on March 19, 2005 surrounded by her daughters. Dorothee was born October 8, 1916 in Piedmont, California and was currently residing in Palos Verdes Estates, California. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, R.E. "Tim" Butler; and is survived by her five daughters, Sally (Mitch Rendell), Therese (Art Martinez), Mary Ellen, Virginia (Les Fishman) and Colleen (Vinnie Piazza); nine grandchildren: Jim, Mark, Jennifer, Vince, Heidi, Andrew, Nikayla, Amy and Fred; and eight great-grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Nathaniel, Alexander, Lucas, Olivia, Sarah Grace and Cara; as well as many dear friends. Dorothee ("Tutu" as she was affectionately known to her grandchildren) met and married Tim in Berkeley, California in 1942. They moved to Albuquerque in 1949 where Tim started his career with Sandia Labs. Dorothee had a successful career in interior design where "she could turn a room into a work of art." She brought her sense of style, love of beauty and grace to everything and everyone around her. Dorothee was a fully engaged student of life, returning to school in her 50s to obtain a University Studies degree and moving back to California in her early 80s. She was an avid reader and loved art, theater, travel, the diversity of other cultures, and gourmet food (cooking and sampling!). She had a lifelong interest in politics, sports, language, music and movies and was always available for a lively discussion. A devoted Catholic, Dorothee lived her faith as she brought her gentle and accepting spirit to all those she met. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor located at either 2100 S. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Newman Center on April 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Albuquerque with an Interment Ceremony for the family immediately following in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dorothee will be laid to rest next to her darling Tim at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Santa Fe.

CASSEL -- Clara P. Cassel, born December 10, 1912 in Cedar Rapids, NE, was called home at last on Easter Sunday morning, March 27, 2005 while residing in Albuquerque, NM. She had lived in Albuquerque for 62 years and had been a member of several parishes, including Immaculate Conception, Holy Ghost, Our Lady of Annunciation, and Our Lady of Fatima. She leaves her loving children Mary, Kathleen, Marti, Bill, and Rick; and many grand- and great-grandchildren. She rejoins her parents Fred and Mary; husband, Ed; and children, John and Barbara in eternal life, free from the ravages of Alzheimer's and her prison of blindness. Clara's strength and determination is revered by those who knew her. A Prayer Vigil will be recited on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. CHAMBERLIN -- Maria Theresa Urrea Chamberlin, 73, a lifelong Old Town resident, passed away March 9, 2005, after a brief illness. CROWDER -- Stanley E. Crowder, born June 30, 1926 in Omaha, NE, joined his cherished mother, Grace; sisters, Mary and Enid; nephew, Chuck; and his best dog friend, Buck in heaven on March 25, 2005. Stan was a devoted husband of 49 years to his loving wife and best friend, Fran. He earned the deep love, unrelenting respect and admiration of his children, Brent Crowder, Jeanne Rogers and husband, Charles, Brenda Pinion; grandson, Ty Pinion; and brother, Charlie Crowder. Also survived by his brothers, Jack and Jim; and numerous nieces and nephews. Stan will be remembered for reciting an appropriate poem for any occasion, his willingness and ability to fix anything, enjoyment of children, and love of nature. Stan was a land developer for commercial infrastructure and conservationist for agricultural purposes. DURAN -- Helen C. Duran. Helen passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mariano (Tootsie) November 3, 2004. She is survived by her sons, John, Lawrence (Larry), and Kim and their families; three sisters, Gertrude (Babe), Virgilia (Tillie), and Eva who live in California. She will lovingly be remembered by her family and her dear friends from Father Paul Baca's religious community. GARCIA -- Lauriano Garcia Sr. went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2005 at the age of 78. He was born on January 18, 1927 in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife, Alice Garcia of 57 years; sons, Santiago Garcia and wife, Shirley, Mariano Garcia and wife, Dora, Lauriano Garcia Jr. and Heraclio Garcia and wife, Yolanda; daughters, Erinea Baros and husband, Donald Goudy and Isabelle Purcella and husband, Joe; sister, Charolette Salas; 11 grandchildren; nine-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening and on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. HARWOOD -- Eugene Fredrick Harwood, born on September 26, 1927, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 26, 2005 after a long battle with emphysema. Gene was born in Santa Rita, NM and spent the majority of his life as a native New Mexican. He loved the state for the different opportunities that it possessed, the beauty of the desert, mountains, extremely blue skies, and pleasant weather. Gene joined the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Gene proceeded to work in Rocky Ford, Colorado, where he met his wife, Donna L. Harwood, of 57 years. Gene was blessed with a gift to use his creative mind coupled with his hands, to produce many works of art which entailed oil paintings, wood-working, and sculpture, making peoples homes beautiful through his work installing tile and carpet, and in his later years, his pride and joy, a rose garden. Gene's paintings are in homes and business establishments throughout the U.S. and England. Gene also loved trout fishing and hunting Indian artifacts, which he spent many hours doing with his family. His wife, Donna; son, Darryl L. Harwood and wife LaLayne; daughter, Gloria J. Walters and husband Kent; sister, Evangeline Scheider; and six grandchildren, Kelly King, Kari Kimbler, Wendy Strong, Dustin Walters, Jason Harwood, and Monte Harwood survive Gene. He would wish as well as the family, that this were a time of celebrating his life in the past and the future. HOLDSON -- John Robert Holdson, 81, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, March 26, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Walter and Alice Holdson; brother, David Holdson; sister, Ruth Ann Waller; and daughter, Karen Harwell. He is survived by Sarah Ruth Moorhead and husband, Robert of Fresno, CA and Martha Sue Grisham and husband, Mark of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Michele Logan, Neil and Katelyn Grisham, Spencer Moorhead; six great-grandchildren; nieces, Ann M. Dumas, Deborah Wirth-Schneider, Janet Morris; nephews, Steve and John Waller; cousins, Ellen Bogart, Margaret Hoskins, Beth and Mary Jane Greenlee; former wife, Harriett Bolding; sister, Janet Wirth; and longtime companion, Antonia Bustamante. John was born in West Springfield, PA on February 7, 1924 and graduated from Rowe High School in East Conneaut, OH. He received his B.S. and M.A. Degrees in horticulture from Ohio State University. He was a Master Sergeant in the Army Air Corps in World War II. John loved to fly and obtained his private pilot license. John was employed as a horticulturist caring for the grounds at the U.S. Naval Ordinance Station in China Lake, CA. In 1952, he joined Janet and Bob Wirth to form Rio Valley Greenhouses in Albuquerque. In addition to growing excellent stock, John will be remembered for his generous sharing of knowledge regarding gardening and for his wit and friendliness. For the past four years, John received wonderful care at the Cottages of Albuquerque where he loved the staff and they loved him. He will be missed. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. He will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. JIRON -- David S., 49, born in Albuquerque on August 15, 1955, returned to our merciful LORD on Saturday March 26, 2005 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Proceeded in death by his brother, Fabian Jiron and his father, Conrad Jiron Sr. David is survived by his two children, Michele and Michael Jiron. Also survived by his mother, Ester Jiron; and sisters and brothers: Sharon Rubi, Conrad Jiron Jr., Dennis Jiron, Randy Jiron, Gary Jiron, Tracy Jiron, and Yvette Lujan. Also many nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and-nephews. David served 11 years in the National Guard and worked with his brothers in the building profession. David loved riding his Harley with his friends; this is where he felt free. David was a kind soul and loved everything about life. He will be missed by all that knew him. MARTINEZ -- Eddie L. Martinez, 52, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 26, 2005, with his loving family surrounding him. Eddie was born on August 1, 1952 in Marquez, NM to Erineo and Deluvina Martinez. He was a produce clerk for Furr's Supermarkets for many years. His hobbies included arts, crafts, and attending flea markets. Eddie was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Escundino and Rosendo Martinez and Geronima Otero. He is survived by his daughter Angel Martinez, her boyfriend and special friend of the family, Christopher Johnson, both of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his siblings: Trinnie, and husband Greg, Leyba of Gallup, NM, Adelina, and husband Sammy, Gutierrez, Theresa, and husband Don, Mills, Pearline, and husband Jose, Sierra, and Gloria Martinez, all of Albuquerque; and brother-in-law, Pete Otero. Many loving nieces and nephews also mourn his passing. Pallbearers will be Frankie Martinez, Chris Johnson, Jose Sierra, Manuel Martinez, Tony Rodriguez and Anthony Gutierrez. MCCRAVEY -- Gladys Gail McCravey, age 78, beloved mother and grandmother was called home by our Heavenly Father, Friday, March 25, 2005. ORNDORFF -- Howard Martin Orndorff died Friday, March 25, 2005, at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Born February 23, 1921, in Dayton, OH, to the late Joseph William and Nellie Orndorff, he was the grandson of Joseph William and Laura Snyder Orndorff, of Buena Vista, VA. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army at Los Alamos on the Manhattan Project. After the war, he made Albuquerque his permanent home, where he founded several companies, including Duke City Tool Company and Trend Manufacturing, Inc. He is survived by his daughters, Skip (Norma), of Albuquerque, and Nancy Orndorff Kelley and husband, Donald Patrick, of Washington, NC; his brother, William Joseph Orndorff and wife, Gail, of Xenia, OH; and his niece, Linda Sillery Ingram and husband, Mick, of Albuquerque. He wass preceded in death by a brother, Robert Charles Orndorff, of Dayton, OH, and, recently, his best friend of 60 years, Melvin Naus, of Albuquerque. ORTEGA -- Mr. Benjamin (Ben) T. Ortega, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 27, 2005. Mr. Ortega is survived by his children, Benny Ortega and wife Lela, Fermin Ortega and wife, Jennie, Mary Ann Chavez and husband, Paul, Benina (B.) Rochester and husband, Dee, Bernadette Kluding and husband, Mike, Martin Ortega, Irene Zamora and Alex Ortega and wife, Lorraine; son in law, Santiago Abeyta; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and his second wife, Aurora Ortega. Mr. Ortega was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ortega; a daughter, Sylvia Abeyta; two sons, Patrick Ortega and Ernest Ortega. Mr. Ortega was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. A visitation for Mr. Ortega will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Debbie Ray. PADILLA -- Clorinda Padilla, age 83, a resident of Los Chavez, NM, passed away on March 27, 2005, and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church on Atrisco in Albuquerque, NM. Clorinda enjoyed her work as a cook for the Belen Schools. She especially loved feeding the children at the school. Clorinda will be remembered always for having an open house and a very kind heart. Clorinda is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Tarcilla Alderete; her husband, Lillaldo; son, Joe; daughters, Melba Montoya and Elizabeth Tafoya; sister, Albina; brothers, Elfigo, Manuel, and Mateo. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Sanchez; son, Leroy Padilla and his wife, Mary Jane; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Rosendo, Vincent, and Pete; sisters, Lucy and Annie. PALMER -- John E. Palmer, 81, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday March 25, 2005. He is survived by his three step-sons: Charles C. Garrett of Sugar Land, TX, Michael A. Garrett and wife, Diane of Oceanside, CA, Carl D. Garrett and wife, Evelyn of Albuquerque; niece, Donna Davis of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and special friends, Mary Lois Miller of Albuquerque and Marta Gifford of Sugar Land. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; daughter, Cherrie Palmer; and grandson, Christopher Garrett. John was a 1941 graduate of Albuquerque High and served in the United States Navy from December 1942 through December 1945. He was a federal civil servant at both Sandia and Kirtland bases during the period December 1946 through his retirement in February 1979. John was a loving step-father who took on the role of raising three young boys who along with his relatives, close friends, and neighbors will miss him dearly. PALMER -- Lt. Col. John Kenneth Palmer, USAF, (Ret.), 82, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, March 27, 2005. He is survived by his daughter, Karyn Palmer of Albuquerque; son, Kent Palmer of Lafayette, LA; grandson, Jaxon; brother, Ken Palmer of Mohawk, NY; and sister, Betty Brannigan of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie F. Palmer; parents, Earl and Ethel Palmer; and brother, Bob Palmer. Mr. Palmer was born in Mohawk, NY. He retired as Lt. Col. from the USAF. Mr. Palmer had served as a District Executive of Boy Scouts in New Mexico and was very active in the Host Lions Club. PENA -- Joe Pena, 95 of Fort Sumner, NM died Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Kaseman-Presbyterian Hospice in Albuquerque following an illness. Joe was born June 1, 1909 in Sapello, NM to the home of Nestor Pena and the former Guadalupita Montoya. He moved with his family to Fort Sumner at age 10. He attended school at Sapello and Fort Sumner. Joe married Clara Bustos in 1933 at Las Vegas, NM. Joe worked as a Civilian Inspector at the Fort Sumner Air Base during WWII. He worked for many years as a mechanic beginning with John Wood Ford in Fort Sumner; and as Shop Foreman for Strong Chevrolet in Vaughn, NM from 1948 to 1953; Joe also managed a theatre in Fort Sumner for several years for Mrs. Helene Allen. He later purchased the theatre. In 1955 he built Joe Pena Automotive on West Sumner Avenue; he continued to work along side his son Eddie for many years. Joe's health began to decline following a serious automobile accident in May 2000. Joe was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. According to his family he loved his mechanic work; he was a self-taught airplane pilot; and enjoyed traveling to visit his children. His travels took his across the U.S. and to Australia and Chile. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved taking his children and grandchildren camping and fishing. Joe was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara Pena in 1979; two brothers, Raymond Pena and Phillip Pena; five sisters, Margaret Hernandez, Charlotte Pena, Lois Silva, Viola Mares, and Petra Pena. Survivors include a daughter, Irene Kesler of Hilbert, WI; four sons, Joe Pena Jr. and wife, Rose Ann of Muldrow, OK; Eddie Pena and wife, Virginia of Fort Sumner; Henry Pena and wife, Lucy of Lancaster, CA; and Fred Pena and wife, Pat of York, PA; also surviving are three brothers, Benny Pena and Fele Pena, both of Muleshoe, TX, and Tony Pena of Fort Sumner; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005 with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will follow in the Pena family plot, Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Joe Casey Pena, John Pena, Gary Pena, Michael Pena, Joseph Pena, and Robert Pena. Honorary bearers will be all his grandchildren, family and friends. POHL -- Dennis Pohl, born in Chilili on March 1, 1916, passed away on March 25, 2005. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eumelia (Meena); his parents, Damacio and Sara Pohl. Also deceased are sisters, Polinaria Gutierrez, Isabel Martinez, Jesusita Apodaca, and Irene Martinez; brothers, Jacobo Bachicha, Moises, Augustin, and Amadeo Pohl. Dennis is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Flynn; sons, Daniel and Michael Pohl; his sisters, Alvira Vigil and Carmen Gallegos; grandchildren, Sherry Neilsen, Loretta Patrick, Carolyn and Mary Flynn, Tanya Pohl, and Roxanne Chavez. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren. Dennis Pohl was self-employed in the home construction and renovation business most of his adult life. He worked many years at Laguna Pueblo. Through out the years Dennis and wife Eumelia enjoyed growing excellent chili and vegetable gardens. The family will always have fond memories of these times. Our father, grandfather and uncle will be greatly missed. POWELL -- Cecile Powell, 51, a resident of Albuquerque, was born on December 17, 1953 in San Diego, CA, and died on Friday, March 25, 2005. She is survived by five sisters and one brother, Rita Ward, Maureen Gardner and husband, Whit, Lizabeth Jones and husband, Barry, Theresa Schumann and husband, Mark, Suzanne Powell and husband, Ed Vaillancourt, and Thomas Powell and wife, Lee Ann; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas H. and Ann Powell. Cecile was a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and an accomplished writer. She was active in the Catholic Church as a member and a volunteer, and also volunteered in the Albuquerque Community. PUTNAM -- Kathleen A. Putnam, 50, a 47-year resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, March 24, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Frank Putnam of Albuquerque; stepdaughters, Adrienne Greenwood and husband, Greg and Nichol Gloetzner and husband, Joel; step-grandchildren, Savannah and Teagen Greenwood, and Talon Gloetzner; brother, Daniel Richard Moriarty; and numerous friends. Kathleen was a 911 operator for 25 years with the City of Albuquerque. She retired December 30, 2001. Kathleen loved her job and loved to travel. SUSCO -- Janet Mary Susco, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on March 23, 2005 at the age of 81. Born September 18, 1923 in Bayard, OH to Mary E. and Orbie R. Shively, Janet was widowed in 1945 after losing her first husband, First Lt. Lemoine W. Noling in the final days of WWII. She was married to Dante Victor Susco on June 6, 1947 who preceded her in death after 53 years of loving marriage. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dolores Jeanne Susco; and grandson, Aryeh "Cody" Sherr. She is survived by children, Laurel E. Sherr of Santa Fe, Kristine I. Susco of Albuquerque, and Kevin Susco and his wife, Barbara of Palo Alto, CA. In addition, Janet is survived by her brother, Roger Shively and his family; grandchildren, Jesse and Dante Sherr, Leland Titus, Nicholette and Kevin Susco Taylor, Joseph and Annie Susco; and many loving nieces and nephews. Janet was a life-long lover of the written word and history and applied this passion in her religious and civic activities and career. After graduating from Minerva H.S. as Valedictorian in 1941, Janet attended Mount Union College in Alliance, OH, where she received her B.A. and met her future husband Dante. Janet and Dante settled in Los Alamos, NM in 1950, where for the next 50 years Janet provided a loving home for her husband and children. She was active in the Valle Grande Chapter of the DAR, serving as both Regent and historian, worked as a museum guide and librarian at LANL and served as a docent for the Los Alamos Historical Society. A charter member of First United Methodist Church of Los Alamos, she taught Sunday School and was active and an officer in AAUW, CWU, and UMW. In 2000, she moved to Albuquerque, resided at Sandia Springs and became a member of St. Paul's UMC. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday March 30, 2005, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution NE, Albuquerque with Dr. Roy Elmore officiating. Interment will follow a graveside ceremony at 2:00 p.m. at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM. WEBSTER -- William W. Webster, 54, a resident of Albuquerque, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 27, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lisa; children, Amy Hinnerichs and husband, Todd, and granddaughter-to-be, Reese, and Burke Webster; father, Bill Webster; brother, Jim Webster and wife, Kathy, of Fayetteville, AR; nieces, Kerry Gobel and Becky Webster and aunts, Joy Webster and Betty Ann Henry and uncle, Ben Henry. Bill was a lifelong civil engineer who enjoyed the engineering profession, the challenges, the people and the excitement of turning ideas into reality. Never liking "good enough" he set exacting standards for himself that became lofty goals for others to aspire to in their professional and personal lives. He stood for what he believed was right and was uncompromising when it came to ideals. His engineering career achievements included managing engineering offices in Albuquerque, NM, Dallas, TX, and Las Vegas, NV sitting on Board of Directors and management committees of Boyle Engineering and in local and national professional organizations, being honored as a Fellow of American Council of Engineering Companies, raising his employer's Quality and Standards program to a new sustainable high, and master planning, engineering and building water systems across New Mexico, Texas and Nevada. No subject was too complex for his inquisitive and creative mind and his peers and management readily sought his counsel. Not only did he love to work, he loved to play. He was a season football and basketball Lobo ticket holder, graduate and supporter of UNM, and always in the company of family and friends. He was extremely proud of Lisa, his wife, and his children, Burke and Amy, and son-in-law, Todd. Many of his best times were sharing his time with Lisa and his kids on cruises and vacations. His wide circle of friends and family will miss him. Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Bruce Wilder officiating. WEINHOLD -- Charles "Chuck" H. Weinhold, 66, died Thursday, March 24, 2005. Charles was born on November 1, 1938 in Waterloo, IA to Daniel and Anna Weinhold. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Daniel and Barbara. Charles is survived by his son, Kevin Canaday; daughter, Leann Weinhold-Wright and husband, Stephen T. Wright; granddaughter, Sydney Wright; ex-wife, June Weinhold; and several nieces and nephews. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960 in the 62nd Trans. Co. Charles was a long-haul trucker for over thirty years and most recently worked as a dump truck operator. His passions included auto mechanics and any form of motorized racing. Charles was a kind man with a big heart always willing to help those in need. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity or an educational institution of your choice.
