Eddie L. Martinez, 52, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 26, 2005, with his loving family surrounding him. Eddie was born on August 1, 1952 in Marquez, NM to Erineo and Deluvina Martinez. He was a produce clerk for Furr's Supermarkets for many years. His hobbies included arts, crafts, and attending flea markets. Eddie was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Escundino and Rosendo Martinez and Geronima Otero. He is survived by his daughter Angel Martinez, her boyfriend and special friend of the family, Christopher Johnson, both of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his siblings: Trinnie, and husband Greg, Leyba of Gallup, NM, Adelina, and husband Sammy, Gutierrez, Theresa, and husband Don, Mills, Pearline, and husband Jose, Sierra, and Gloria Martinez, all of Albuquerque; and brother-in-law, Pete Otero. Many loving nieces and nephews also mourn his passing. Pallbearers will be Frankie Martinez, Chris Johnson, Jose Sierra, Manuel Martinez, Tony Rodriguez and Anthony Gutierrez. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options. A Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2005 also, at the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
