Obituary for ORTEGA

Mr. Benjamin (Ben) T. Ortega, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 27, 2005. Mr. Ortega is survived by his children, Benny Ortega and wife Lela, Fermin Ortega and wife, Jennie, Mary Ann Chavez and husband, Paul, Benina (B.) Rochester and husband, Dee, Bernadette Kluding and husband, Mike, Martin Ortega, Irene Zamora and Alex Ortega and wife, Lorraine; son in law, Santiago Abeyta; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and his second wife, Aurora Ortega. Mr. Ortega was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ortega; a daughter, Sylvia Abeyta; two sons, Patrick Ortega and Ernest Ortega. Mr. Ortega was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. A visitation for Mr. Ortega will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Debbie Ray. A final visitation will be Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with Military Honors by the United States Army. Pallbearers will be Fermin Ortega, Martin Ortega, Benny Ortega, Alex Ortega, Daniel Ortega, and Darryl Ortega. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chirs Ortega, Paul Chavez Jr., Sean Chavez, Fermin Ortega Jr., Richard Ortega, and Daniel Nevarez. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd SW 243-7861
