Barratt -- Gilbert Barratt, 56, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 10, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Barratt of Tijeras; his daughter and son-in-law, Kerri and Amadeo Sanchez of Tijeras; two beautiful granddaughters; two sisters, MaryLee McCue and Helen Jensen of Rhode Island; in-laws, Harold and Mary Palmateer of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Karen Boman of Albuquerque and Janet Temple of California; brother-in-law, John Palmateer of Rhode Island; and many, many nieces, great-nieces; nephews and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tami Lynne Barratt; and his mother and father, Lena Bush and Albert Barratt. Gil was born and raised in Rhode Island and after marrying, lived in California before coming to Albuquerque in 1990. He will be missed by family and friends, many of whom he met during his years in apartment maintenance. Although he was loved, we are comforted by the knowledge that he no longer is suffering from diabetes and has been reunited with his daughter in Heaven. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus in Paradise Hills. All who knew and loved him are invited to attend and share in the memories of his life.

Darugh -- Alice Marie Darugh, 90 years young, died peacefully Monday, April 15, 2002, at 6:30 a.m. She is survived by her son, David Darugh and wife, Gayle of Augusta, GA; daughter, Patricia Hamlet and husband, JB; granddaughter, Jane Hamlet; grandson, Roger Hamlet and wife, Barbara; great-grandsons, Benjamin and Jason Hamlet all of Albuquerque; nephews, Gordon Babbitt of Arizona and Marvin Babbitt of Illinois. Her husband, Fred Darugh, precedes her in death. Alice was Fred's devoted wife and constant companion for over 60 years. Together they operated several restaurants in Florida and California, and Alice was Fred's assistant on stage and off in the Diverting Darughs magic act. Private ceremonies and cremation have taken place.

Flores -- Ruben Flores, age 84, lifetime resident of Las Cruces left his dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with his heavenly Father, Saturday, April 13, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born August 23, 1917 to Julian Flores and Anita Mariana Flores. From 1939 to 1941, Ruben spent time as a US Merchant Marine on the U.S.S. American Seaman and the U.S.S. America. On April 3, 1941, he was inducted into the United States Army and assigned to Clark's Airfield in the Philippine Islands. During his service, Staff Sergeant Ruben Flores was a prisoner of war from April 9, 1942 to August 15, 1945. He was also a survivor of the Bataan Death March. He was honorably discharged from service on March 14, 1946, and was decorated with the Bronze Star for Service, Philippine Defense Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Philippine Independence Ribbon, American Defense Service Medal with Foreign Service Clasp, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Distinguished Unit Emblem with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation Badge and a World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Flores was very active in his community where he was a member of the Las Cruces Chapter of the Bataan Veterans Organization, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3242 and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 10. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the St. Genevieve's Catholic Church and a member of the Sunshine Boys Breakfast Club. Survivors include one son, Art Flores and wife, Lourdes of Loving, NM; three daughters, Carmelina and Freda Claudeen Flores both of Las Cruces, Sandra Christine Jacquez Flores of Albuquerque; three brothers, Robert F. Estrada and wife, Bertha and their daughter, Rachel, Florencio"Lencho" Montoya all of Las Cruces, Jose G. Flores and wife, Angelita of Dona Ana; four sisters, Celia Montes of Nampa, Idaho, Manuela Mestas of Sacramento, CA, Adelina Flores of Albuquerque and Josefina Montoya of Las Cruces. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, Michelle Fyfe, Michael, Jasmine, Danielle and Amanda Flores, Annette Mendoza and Pamela Vasquez two great-granddaughters, Ruby Fyfe and Samantha Flores. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Manuela Flores; two brothers, Guadalupe Flores and Bessie Montoya. Visitation for Mr. Flores was held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2002 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled to begin 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the same church with the Most Reverend Bishop Ricardo Ramirez, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho with military honors accorded. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Mike Ortega, Casimiro Gonzales, Jesus Hernandez, Jim Fyfe, Michael and Manny Flores. Honorary Bearers will be Ben Rios, Jack Aguirre, Ventura and Maria Inez Garcia, Ex-POW (Bataan) Survivors, Knights of Columbus, Las Cruces Chapter and Women's Auxiliary, VFW Post #3242 and Women's Auxiliary, DAV Chapter 10, Hector Apodaca, David Lujan, Eli Gipson, Jack Valencia Sr., Joe Jacquez and Blas Molina. Fortner -- Norman Fortner, a much-loved husband, father, and teacher was called to Heaven, Friday afternoon, April 12, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy and daughter, Sally of Albuquerque. Born July 21, 1930 in Bloomfield, Missouri, he grew up on the family farm. In 1950, he served in the U. S. Army 37th Infantry Division in Korea. He survived the battle at the Chosin Reservoir, and was later wounded in the Pyong Chang Pass. After the Army, he attended The University of Missouri at Columbia and Wayne State at Detroit. He studied history as well as earning a degree in education. He enlisted in the USAF Reserve where he rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1965, Mr. Fortner entered teaching and taught Special Education in the Moriarty and Santo Domingo schools. After retiring, he pursued gardening and his love of history. Services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, 7550 Eubank NE, with Pastor Arthur Kuehnert officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Frey -- Dorothy Frey, 84, died April 12, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born April 30, 1917 in Cincinnati, OH to John and Amelia Runk. On September 21, 1940 she married Charles L. Frey at Cincinnati. They resided in Cincinnati 23 years, Dayton 36 years and moved to Albuquerque in 2000. They were married 59 years. She is survived by son, John Frey and wife, Francine of Albuquerque; daughter, Carol Hetzler and husband, Richard F. of Aurora, IL; grandchildren, Gregory and Julie Frey of Albuquerque, Susan, Richard E. and Thomas Hetzler of Aurora; great-grandson, Cody Holden Frey; brother, Robert Runk and wife, Helen of Cincinnati; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and brother, Edward Runk.

Gallegos -- Albert Gallegos, 52, passed away April 12, 2002. He was born in Santa Rosa, NM., and lived in Albuquerque. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Teresa Gallegos and is survived by his son, Feliciano Gallegos; grandson, Gabriel Gallegos; siblings, Erlinda Lopez, Christine Fernandez, Cristobal Gallegos, Candelaria Aragon, Tomas Gallegos, Ruth Saiz, Antonio Gallegos, and Frank Gallegos; aunts, uncles, and numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover SW. in Albuquerque. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2002. Garlick -- Gary Harrison Garlick, 59, passed away April 15, 2002, after complications from surgery. He was born in Seattle, Washington, May 21, 1942 and moved to Albuquerque in 1956. Gary is survived by his wife, Rhonda; father, Lewis; stepmother, Myrle; sister, Gale Poole; three daughters, Adele Budnick and husband, Ron, Shiela Martinez and husband, Larry and Shelley Kelley and husband, Steve; three sons, Todd and wife, Heather, Chris Sedillo and Ryan Sedillo; six grandchildren, Kyle Duran, Andrew and Caroline Budnick; Natalie and Gabriella Martinez; and Jaedon Sedillo; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Garlick. Gary graduated from Sandia High School in 1960. He served four years in the Coast Guard and got his college degree in Anthropology from Eastern New Mexico University. Gary retired from the City of Albuquerque in December 1999 after 27 years of service. Gary loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and backpacking. Gassner -- Julius S. Gassner, age 86, born September 22, 1915 in Whitestone, NY to the late Barbara and Julius Gassner died at home on April 12, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Renee Marie Gassner; and a son, Jules Gassner. He graduated from Regis High School in New York City in 1933; in 1937 he received his Bachelor Degree from St. Peter's College in New Jersey; and in 1940 his Master's Degree from Fordham University in New York City. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army, Intelligence Corps in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1946. He then served as a reserve officer until 1967, when he retired with the rank of Major. He was an instructor in Philosophy at the college of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN from 1947 to 1952; Assistant Professor of Political Science Southwestern Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, LA from 1952 to 1957; Associate Professor of Political Science and History at the University of Albuquerque, formerly St. Joseph's College from 1957 to 1986. He was a student of languages and translated"The Voyages and Adventures of La Perouse" (published by the University of Hawaii Press). He was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary from 1985 to 2000; he was parishioner of San Ysidro Catholic Church from 1967 until his death. He was widely traveled, having spent several sabbaticals studying in Europe and traveled extensively in Mexico with his family. He enjoyed sailing, photography and gardening. He was also a member of the Corrales Library Board for many years. He is survived by his wife, Deanna L. Gassner; his children, Stephen T. Gassner of Albuquerque, John C. Gassner and wife, Rosa of Edinburgh, TX, Elizabeth Devine and husband, Richard of Rio Rancho, Martin C. Gassner, and Thomas A. Gassner both of Corrales; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Margaret Long, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Final viewing will be this morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales, where the Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. this morning. Interment will follow at the San Ysidro Catholic Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Stephen Gassner, Thomas Gassner, Martin Gassner, Richard Devine, Paul Chavez, Greg Gassner. Godsey -- Lonnie E. Godsey passed away April 13, 2002 in El Paso, TX. He was born September 13, 1919 in Whitesboro, TX. Lonnie was past resident of Santa Fe and Albuquerque for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, parents, Ernest and Esther Godsey and brother, Crendon. Lonnie is survived by his son, Ernest Godsey and wife, Isabel of Santa Fe; daughters, Laura Salazar and husband, George of Albuquerque and Sandra Krantz and husband, Ron of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Jerry, Manny Godsey, Robert Romero and wife, Elizabeth, Yvette and Zebbee Salazar, Genna Neff and husband, Lance, Ron and James Krantz; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Tessie Garcia and husband, Johnny of Santa Fe, sister-in-law, Gloria Richards and husband, Sylvan of West Covina, CA and brother-in-law, Tony Herrera of Santa Fe and many nephews and nieces. Lonnie served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was awarded two Purple Hearts during his tour of duty. He worked for the General Contractors, Robert E. McGee and C.R. Davis for many years working through out the southwest and was hired as a Superintendent for Morrision-Knudson working in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Bengledesh before retiring. He loved his family and his community and was always there to lend a hand to his neighbors, friends and family. He was an avid sports fan and loved to play golf and fish. Gonzales -- Andres"Andy" Gonzales, 82, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Monday, April 15, 2002. He passed away at his home in Albuquerque surrounded by his family. He is survived by his children, Odelia Gonzales of Albuquerque, Aladino and Cecilia Gonzales of Cedar Crest; Clemente and Vera Gonzales of Albuquerque, Gilbert and Josie Gonzales of Vallejo, CA; David and Maclovia Gonzales of South Jordan, UT; Jerry R. and Blanche Gonzales of Albuquerque; Margaret and Mark Nauyok of San Pedro, NM; Gloria and Larry Abeyta of San Antonito; Claudia and Randy Perea of Albuquerque, Imojean and Paul Jaramillo of Tijeras and Corine Sena of Albuquerque; 53 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Orlando Gonzales, Las Vegas, NV and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Anita Gonzales in January 1979 and six sons, Fernando, Guillermo, Jose, Felix, Cecil and Ralph and his parents, Manuel and Elizar Gonzales. Mr. Gonzales was born in San Antonito, NM. He served in the Armed Forces during WWII, 2nd Division, 38th Infantry Company C. He landed in LaHarve, France and fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Arden. On January 3, 1945, he was injured and was honorably discharged on April 29, 1946. Mr. Gonzales was a member of Post 401 of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Palo Duro Senior Center since 1996. Our Dad lived a long and happy and fulfilled life. Those who knew him, loved, honored and respected him. Did not only love his children and grandchildren, he was also very proud of each one of them. As one of the grandchildren put it,"Grandpa, you might not have a million dollars or a fancy car, but in my eyes you are the richest man in the world. With all the love and wisdom you've given me, I will cherish you forever." Yes, this is what he always said," I am so blessed; I have it all." We love him so very much. He will be greatly missed, but we know he is in a better place, face to face with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For the Father in Heaven has called him home...Good-bye, Dad, until we see you again in Heaven. Hand -- Lieutenant Colonel Robert Hand, U.S. Army (Ret.), 80, a resident of Albuquerque for two years, passed away in his sleep at the home of his son and daughter-in-law on Monday, April 15, 2002. Born in Yakima, WA, October 22, 1921 to Samuel and Ethel Hand, he joined the military at age 15. During his distinguished military career he served in Italy during World War II and later in Korea,Thailand, and for NATO Forces in Naples and at the Pentagon. Among his many military decorations are the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and the Croix de Guerre. After his retirement from the military in 1966, he moved to Pagosa Springs, CO, where he opened the Thunderbird Hunting Lodge, which he operated for thirteen years. He was a beloved member of the Pagosa Springs community as is evidenced by the community decision to name the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center in his honor. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Hand; two sons, Robert and Scott Hand; daughter, Donna Mollica; as well as two stepsons, Thierry and Benjamin Morpurgo; and numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Hawley -- Michael D. Hawley, 44, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, April 14, 2002. He is survived by his son, Eric Hawley of Albuquerque; daughter, Jennifer Hawley of Albuquerque; sister, Karen Swain and husband, Lamont of West Branch, MI. Michael loved the mountains, hiking, rock climbing, and he competed in the Mount Taylor Quad. He was active in the United Way fundraising campaign. Hayden -- Stewart Hayden, 77, died Saturday, April 13, 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Baca and husband, Albert of Albuquerque and Cindy Braaten and husband, Dennis of Katy, TX; and grandchildren, Alison Kathryn Baca, Catherine Blair Braaten and Connor Hayden Braaten. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn. Mr. Hayden, a former resident of Albuquerque, was living in Houston, TX at the time of his death. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. While in Albuquerque, Mr. Hayden worked for Papercraft, before retiring in 1993. Helms -- "J.P." Helms, 75, a resident of Mountainair, NM, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2002 in Albuquerque. He was born August 3, 1926, to Joe and Janie E. (Murphree) Helms in Elida, NM. He married his wife, Ernestene of 51 year's, September 6, 1951 in Clovis, NM. She survives him of the home, he is also survived by his sons, Joe Helms and his wife, Tracy of Texline, TX, Preston Helms of Seattle, WA; his daughter, Patsy Kingston and her husband, Red of Mountainair, NM; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leslie and Joe J.R. Helms. Jesse was a member of the American Legion in Mountainair, he was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, he will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Jesse will lie in state Tuesday April 16, 2002, 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the Mountainair Chapel. Lujan -- Lorraine Stevens Lujan died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 63. She is preceded in death by her son, Dwight Lujan, and her father, Manuel Stevens. She enjoyed her hobby of Genealogy and made many friends in the process. She was caring and compassionate toward others with the same illness as hers. Mrs. Lujan is survived by her mother, Grace M. Stevens; husband, Ronald S. Lujan; son, Steven Lujan; daughters, Deborah Pino and husband, David, and Kathy Emerson; sister, Margie Sena; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Lujan will be held on Thursday at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Lyngen -- Marguerite S. Lyngen, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died Monday, April 15, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Merville J. Lyngen and wife, Joyce, Wayne E. Martin -- Lillian Martin (Bates) went to be with her Lord, Monday, April 15, 2002. She is survived by her sons, Ken Bates and wife, Priscilla, Don Bates and wife, Carol; daughter, Betty Wimpy and husband, Charles; sister, Wilma Tanner; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by numerous others who knew and loved her. Nichols -- Ted W. Nichols of Los Lunas, NM, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002. He was a lifelong resident of New Mexico, born March 28, 1934, in Mangum, OK. He worked in road construction and was a contractor all of his adult life. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Nichols, and six children, Carla Sanchez, Vicki Martinez, Vonnie McNiel, Guy Willmuth, Tracy Nichols, and Ted Nichols, Jr.; seven, grandchildren, Danny Bunch, Layla Martinez, Voy McNiel, Phillip Willmuth, Tommy Otero, and Elizabeth and Sarah Lindsey; two great-grandchildren, Aliyha Martinez and Mikaela Bunch; two brothers, Bob Nichols and Darrell Nichols; three sisters, Joyce Powers, Phyllis Sadler, and Vivian King; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Paden -- Robert J. Paden, 73, a long time resident of Albuquerque and Ponca City, Oklahoma died April 14, 2002. Roybal -- John Phillip"Pistolo" Roybal II,"...and a time for peace" Ecclesiastes 3:11, passed away in Pleasanton, CA on April 9, 2002 at Valley Care Medical Center. He was a patient at the Pleasanton Dialysis Clinic and the BMA Santa Fe Dialysis Center. John was born in Terrero NM on June 20, 1932; received his early education in Santa Fe Public Schools, graduating from Santa Fe High School; he attended Marquette University and completed classes at Highlands University. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, was stationed in San Diego and served from 1950-1953; he saw duty with the 1st Marine Division in Korea. Following his honorable discharge he returned to Santa Fe and began work with the Department of Corrections, retiring after 29 years. After his retirement, John worked for the Federal Government and for Federal Express. He owned and operated Royson Polygraph Service. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. for 29 years. John and his family were parishioners of St. Francis Cathedral until they moved to California. John is survived by his mother, Elise S. Roybal; wife, Rosina S.; son, John P. Roybal III and Maria; daughters, Rosemary Ortega and husband, Joe, Patricia Gallegos-Leyba and husband, Gene; grandchildren, Patty's, David Lee and Philpatrick, wife, Tina, great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Mikiela and Katalina. Ryan -- Edward Anthony Ryan, 87, a resident of Sandia Park, NM, died Monday, April 15, 2002 with his wife by his side. He is survived by his wife, Florence Ryan of the family home; daughter, Diane McGill and husband, Jack; four grandchildren, Sherry Gagan, Jon McGill, Michelle Feigum, and Edward Anthony Ryan; six great-grandchildren, Sean and Scott Gagan, Bryce and Kalyee Feigum, and Stephen and Sara Ryan; sisters, Eva Mae and Rose; brothers, Leo and Mark; and numerous nieces and nephews. Shaw -- Dorothy Virginia Schoch Shaw, beloved wife of Harry Bird Shaw and mother of John and Rosemary, passed away in her sleep, Monday, April 15, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on December 30, 1913 in Pinckneyville, IL and married Harry on June 11, 1936. She obtained her teaching certificate after attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Her life was devoted to teaching learning disabled children. She retired in 1980, after her career teaching in the Clover Park School District in Lakewood, WA. He was a car owner and member of NM Motor Racing Association, United States Auto Club, founding member of NM Wrecker Operators Association, NM Dismantlers and Recyclers, Board Member of NM Buckskin Horse Association, founding member and President of Colorado Buckskin Horse Association, member of Mile High Buckskin Horse Association, President of Miami, NM Water Users Association and member of the Miami NM Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid supporter of High School Athletics, Future Farmers of America and 4-H Youth in New Mexico and Colorado. St. Jeor -- Frances R. St. Jeor, 80, of Las Cruces, NM passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Frances was born July 13, 1921 in St. Clair, MO to Ben A. and Florence Adams Reed. Frances (Frankie to her many Friends) was an avid golfer both locally and nationally and served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. LeRoy A. St. Jeor in 1987. She requested that cremation take place and that no services be held. She will be inurned at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with her husband, Her wish is no flowers, but to have donations made to her favorite project, Royal Neighbors of America, 230 Sixteenth Street, Rock Island, IL 61202, which provides dogs for the deaf. Wilson -- Dr. Howard L. Wilson passed away Sunday, April 14, 2002 following heart surgery. He was deeply loved and respected by his family, friends and generations of patients he cared for over the past 47 years in the Los Alamos community. Howard was born to Norman and Florence Wilson on July 6, 1924 in Belleville, New Jersey. He attended Columbia College in NYC, NY on an academic scholarship and graduated with an M.D. degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in June of 1947. He completed his post-graduate training at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA, Robert Packer Hospital and Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, PA and Bellevue Hospital in New York. He served on the faculty of New York University, College of Medicine as instructor in Pediatrics from 1951-53. He volunteered for active duty in the U.S. Naval Reserve in December 1942 as apprentice Seaman and served during WWII as a Lieutenant, M.C., USNR during the Korean War. He retired form the US Naval Reserve in 1967. In 1949, he married Dorothy Barteau of Scarsdale, New York and together they moved to Billings, Montana where he practiced Pediatrics at Billings Clinic from 1953-55. In August 1955, Dr. Wilson founded The Children's Clinic in Los Alamos, NM with the late Dr. David B. Post and served as Chief of Staff, Chief of Pediatrics and Member of the Hospital Board all at the Los Alamos Medical Center. He was a member of the Los Alamos County Medical Society, New Mexico Medical Society, New Mexico Pediatrics Society, Diplomate American Board of Pediatrics and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He retired from full-time practice of Pediatrics in June 1993, but continued part-time at the Children's Clinic until last week. He is survived by his companion, Marilyn Thayer; his sister, Doris Cole and husband, Manley of Pland, California; Dorothy B. Wilson of Los Alamos; six children, Janet Cordova of Santa Fe, Barbara Schwan and husband, Robert of Venice, CA, Steven B. Wilson of Santa Fe, Dana vanWestrienen and husband, Dirk of Corrales, NM, Kimberly Cunnington and husband, David of Albuquerque, NM, Dale Dunn and husband, Stephen of Key West, FL; and 12 grandchildren, Clay and Chad Cordova, Kyle Schwan, Rachael, Jesse, Adam and Nile vanWestrienen, Galen, Luke and Dylan Cunnington, and Natalie and Ava Dunn. Services will be held at the United Church of Los Alamos on Thursday, April 18, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Dr. Wilson requested donations be sent to the Columbia College Fund, 100 Hamilton Hall, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027. Father, doctor, brother, friend we will miss you.
