Dorothy Virginia Schoch Shaw, beloved wife of Harry Bird Shaw and mother of John and Rosemary, passed away in her sleep, Monday, April 15, 2002 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on December 30, 1913 in Pinckneyville, IL and married Harry on June 11, 1936. She obtained her teaching certificate after attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Her life was devoted to teaching learning disabled children. She retired in 1980, after her career teaching in the Clover Park School District in Lakewood, WA. She was a member of the Lakewood Washington United Methodist Church. Services and interment will take place in Pinckneyville, IL. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
