Obituary for Garlick

Gary Harrison Garlick, 59, passed away April 15, 2002, after complications from surgery. He was born in Seattle, Washington, May 21, 1942 and moved to Albuquerque in 1956. Gary is survived by his wife, Rhonda; father, Lewis; stepmother, Myrle; sister, Gale Poole; three daughters, Adele Budnick and husband, Ron, Shiela Martinez and husband, Larry and Shelley Kelley and husband, Steve; three sons, Todd and wife, Heather, Chris Sedillo and Ryan Sedillo; six grandchildren, Kyle Duran, Andrew and Caroline Budnick; Natalie and Gabriella Martinez; and Jaedon Sedillo; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Garlick. Gary graduated from Sandia High School in 1960. He served four years in the Coast Guard and got his college degree in Anthropology from Eastern New Mexico University. Gary retired from the City of Albuquerque in December 1999 after 27 years of service. Gary loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and backpacking. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at The Heights First Church of the Nazarene, 8401 Paseo del Norte NE on Thursday, April 18, 2002, 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Bill Nielson officiating.
