Anderson -- Bruce Anderson passed away at home on Thursday, December 28, 2000. A resident of Albuquerque for over 45 years, he retired ten years ago from Williams Glass in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Anderson; five sons, Larry, Ronnie, Joe, Ricky and Colt; two daughters, Anita and Kathy; and also by 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; also surviving are his sister, Judi Castro of Citrus Heights, CA; and his brother, Barry Maciel of Salinas, CA. Preceding him in death were his parents, Kathryn and Tony Maciel, and two sons, Howard and Lance. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Sunrise Society of New Mexico is serving the family of Mr. Anderson. (891-8200).

Bradshaw -- Katie Sandoval Bradshaw, 71, living in Albuquerque over 50 years, died January 2, 2001. She is survived by her daughters, Judi Bradshaw-Rouse and husband, Douglas of Madison, WI and Peggy Bradshaw of Albuquerque; son, William-Carl Bradshaw of Bernalillo County; grandchildren, Tyrel Rouse, Leon Rock, Alamo Carlos and Destiny Corina Winter; brothers, Fidencio C. Sandoval, Bernie C. Sandoval, Joe Sandoval, Jess Sandoval, Orlando Sandoval, Mike Sandoval and Johnny Sandoval; sisters, Cordelia Trimble, Sally Dallago and Pat Lavalle and numerous nieces and nephews. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Roch William Bradshaw and her parents, Bernabe and Antonia Sandoval. She was a CEO and operator of Snappy Catering Service and a member of the Hispanic Womens' Counsel, and WESST Corp. Bush -- Martha "Bim" Bush, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died on Wednesday, December 20, 2000. Bim is survived by her daughter, Leslie Bleier of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Emily Bleier; grandson, Grant Bleier; mother, Liza Jackson of Gadsden, AL and sisters, Mary Akins and husband, Grady of Gadsden, AL and Jean Johnson and husband, Kenneth of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by Robert V. Bush. Bim was formerly active in with the New Mexico Republican Party. Services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. Carman -- William N. Carman, 81, an Albuquerque resident since 1971, died Monday, January 1, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Carman of Albuquerque; son, Pastor Rob Carman and wife, Ginger of Albuquerque; daughter, Janet L Reedy and husband, Bob of Sonora, CA; step son, Simon Armijo of Albuquerque; step daughter, Maree Armijo, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Andrew, Aimee, Santina, Justin and Sonrisa; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Adrian. Mr. Carman was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. he was a member of of the Believers Center and was active in the Christian community. Mr. Carman was an avid writer and had written over 80 books. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2001 at Victory Love Fellowship, 7201 Central Ave. NW with Pastor Rob Carman, Pastor Jim Lloyd and Pastor Don Gordon, officiating. Cummings -- Donald Herbert MD- Dr. D. H. Cummings died December 27, 2000 at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was 77. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on Auguust 31, 1923, the son of Herbert Kimball Cummings and Gertrude Smith Cummings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Lucy Lee Ward Cummings, and is survived by his sister, Dorothy Cummings Brincefield; brother, David Kimball Cummings; his children, Christopher Ward and his wife, Barbara, Mark Kimball Cummings, Phillip Andrew and his wife, Donna Marie, and Bruce Douglas and his wife, Mary Kathleen; and grandchildren, Brandon Christian, Shaun Michael, Benjamin Robert, Andrew Ward, Daniel Alexander, and Emilyann Cummings; together with several nieces, nephews, and their children. Dr. Cummings was a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Medicine and served in the United States Army Medical Corps. After discharge in 1955, he worked as a physician and surgeon in Pineville, West Virginia. He and his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1958 when he accepted a position in General Medicine with the then-fledgling Lovelace Clinic. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, assisted by a National Institute of Mental Health fellowship, completing a residency in Psychiatry in 1965. Returning to Lovelace, where he became Chief of Psychiatry, a position he held until entering private practice which he continued up to his death. A Memorial Service is planned for 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2000 in the University Chapel of French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque NM Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetary. Davis -- Charles Davis, 82, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, January 2, 2001. He is survived by his children, Karen Louise Davis Welch, Charles Davis, Jr., and Joseph Davis and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Karl Joseph Drilling, Joetta Davis, Julie Davis, Matt Davis, Michelle Louise Egan, Stephanie Ann Van Skike, Christine Mae, Anna Marie, and Jessica Ann; great-grandchildren, Jonathon Silva, Stephanie Louise Silva, Ryan Davis Maier, and Cassidy Mae Davis; brother, Paul Davis; sisters, Celine Raff, Mary Kuhn, and Annie Walker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Davis. Charles was active in New Mexico politics since the age of 19. He served as Chief of staff for US Senator Dennis Chavez, and was a member of the 1st Congressional District Hall of Fame. He was a lifelong contributor to St. Anthony's Orphanage and a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Gonzales -- Mr. Leopoldo Gonzales died Monday in Clovis, NM at the age of 42. Mr. Gonzales is survived by his father, Leo Gonzales; mother, Esther Gonzales; daughters, Alijia Gonzales and Leona Gonzales; sisters, Charlene Urban and husband, Manuel, Darlene Hurman Gonzales and husband, Herman; Nanette Martos and husband, George, and Melecia Garcia and husband, Frank; brothers, Danny Gonzales and wife, Diane, Norman Gonzales and wife, Gloria, James Gonzales, Gabriel Gonzales and wife, Crystal, and Luis Gonzales. Grimm -- Edna Jane (Volk) Grimm, 86, died December 30, 2000 in Albuquerque after a long illness. She was born November 14, 1914 in Estancia, NM to Benjamin and Elsie (McKee) Volk. Edna is survived by a niece, Genevieve Fisher and husband, Bill; a nephew, James D. Hall, all of Albuquerque; seven great-nieces and nephews; and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her stepson, Jack Grimm and wife, Peg; grandchildren, Teri Trias, Todd Grimm and wife, Mona, and Lori Kaneyuki and husband, Rich; and eight great-grandchildren, all of California. After graduating from Santa Fe High School in 1933, Edna worked for the US Government in Las Vegas, NM, Fort Worth, TX and Washington, DC as well as Edwards Air Force Base in CA. She furthered her education in night school, did some modeling and was a superb horsewoman. After moving to California in the 1940's, she met and married John Grimm and kept the books for his electrical contracting business in Barstow, CA. John died in 1978 and Edna continued living there until 1995 when she returned to Albuquerque due to ill health. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 5, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Road and Meadowlark Lane in Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery (near Cerrillos and Cordova Roads) in Santa Fe.

Hernandez -- Mary T. Hernandez, 63, a resident of Albuquerque passed away at home with her loved ones at her side on December 30, 2000. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Oscar L. Hernandez; her father, Reynaldo Armijo; her mother, Anita Palacio; three daughters, Anna Montes and husband, Mario, Charlotte Chavez and husband, David and Cindy Lopez and husband, Albino; two sons, Larry Smith and wife, Julie and Anthony Hernandez; her sisters and brothers, Marcy Sweem and husband, Bill, Edward Armijo and wife, Eunice, Reynaldo Armijo Jr. and wife, Louisa, Manuel Armijo and wife, Lillian, Henry Armijo and wife, Julia, Esther Valdez and husband, Ray, Mike Armijo and Fernando Palacio; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her son, Oscar L. Hernandez, Jr. Mrs. Hernandez was a member of the Catholic Church. Hock -- Oliver Gordon Hock, 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died Tuesday, January 2, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy L. Hock and finance, Philip Vigil of Peralta, NM; son, Leroy D. Hock; granddaughter, Stephanie K. Hock, both of Albuquerque; sisters, Hazel Porter of Blackwell, OK, Maxine Tracy of Ardmore, OK, Joyce Webb of Arkansas City, KS and Pat Walters of Gueda Springs, KS; mother of his children, Kathy Justus of Shell Knob, MO; mother of his grandchild, Sylvia R. Ward of Albuquerque; and his best buddy his dog, Lucky. Mr. Hock was preceded in death by his brothers, Jess Hock, Glenn Hock, Paul Hock, Vinton Hock, Vernon Hock, Milford (Tim) Hock and Marion Hock, sister, Mildred Shockley, mother, Hazel Kelly Hock, and father, Oliver Benton Hock. Gordon was born in Portland, KS and brought his family to Albuquerque in 1971. He was a teacher at TVI, automotive trades, and the NM Correctional Institute. He loved photography and his dogs. He served in the Us Army during the Korean Conflict. He was owner of Gordon's Transmission in Los Lunas. Kelly -- Rose Marie Kelly died on December 31, 2000 in Sun City West, AZ. She was born on November 26, 1936 in Panama, Iowa. She worked as a registered nurse. She moved to Arizona in March of 1999 from Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Kelly of Phoenix, AZ; two sons, Hugh Kelly of Dallas, TX and Sean Kelly of Port Orange, FL; and four grandchildren, Thomas, Alanna, Bridget and Kevin Kelly. Kirkpatrick -- Julia Irene Kirkpatrick, 76, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, December 31, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Kaye Thompson and husband, Mike of Albuquerque, NM, Sharon Gelnett and husband, Dave of Dallas, TX, Julie Miller and husband, Steve of Albuquerque, NM, Joy Marvin and husband, Bob of Reno, NV; grandchildren, Zach Gelnett and fiance, Jorie Pava and Marc Gelnett of Dallas, TX, Ellyn Thompson, Patrick Thompson, Kelly Julia Miller, Tommy Miller all of Albuquerque, NM, Darcy Irene Marvin, Nolan Marvin and Rainey Marvin of Reno, NV; brother, Les Juden of Lake Jackson, Tx and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Kirkpatrick in 1974 and two infant sons. She was born in Cape Girardeau County, MO and graduated from high school there. During World War II she worked for an airplane manufacturer in Ft. Worth. returning to Missouri after the war she married Kelly Kirkpatrick in 1946. They moved to New Mexico in 1957. After Kelly's death in 1974, she attended UNM and received her degree in English. Irene then went to work for Tuesday Morning and was manager for many years. Her work and friends at Tuesday Morning were very important to her. After retirement, she looked forward to her outings with the "Tuesday Morning Ladies." Irene loved her grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a founding member of Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church. Irene always looked on the bright side of things and was an encouragement to those her life touched. Services will be held Friday, January 5, 2001, 1:00 p.m. at Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church, 7001 San Antonio Dr. NE, with Pastor Harold Johnson officiating. Lefton -- Seymour C. Lefton, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Sunday, December 31, 2000. He is survived by his loving wife, Dione Danis; daughters, Linda Lefton of Albuquerque; Charna Lefton of La Paz, Bolivia; Irene Lefton of Santa Clara, CA; son, Lew Lefton and wife, Enid Steinbart; and granddaughters, Hannah Lefton, Natalie Lefton and Monica Lefton all of Decatur, GA. Seymour was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Clara. Seymour was born in Cleveland, OH. He is a World War II veteran. He received his B.A. in Psychology from UNM in 1950. Seymour was the owner of Happy Feet and the NM Orthopedic Shoe Shop for over 40 years. He was NM State Commander of the Disabled American Veterans. He was President of the local B'nai B'rith lodge and was Chairman of the B'nai B'rith District Youth Council. Seymour was a longtime member of Congregation Albert. He was one of the founders and President of the Prescription Footwear Association. He also served on the Boards of the American Diabetes Association and the Arthritis Association. He was appointed to and served on the NM State Board of Podiatry. Services were held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Congregation Albert with Cantor Jacqueline Shuchat-Marx officiating. Interment followed at Congregation Albert Cemetery. Maccini -- Leonard G. Maccini, born September 28, 1929, died January 2, 2001 in Albuquerque of pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his son, Michael Maccini and wife, Barbara Koenig and their children, Julia and Alexander of Albuquerque; and daughter, Cynthia Maccini of Portland, OR. He was predeceased by his grandson, David Maccini, at the age of ten. Leonard graduated from Colorado College in 1952 and was a member of the 1950 NCAA Championship Hockey Team. Leonard married Barbara A. Parkin in 1953. He spent two and a half years in the United States Marine Corps, returned to Colorado Springs, CO and obtained a masters degree at Colorado College. Leonard was an active member of the Colorado Springs business community for over 30 years. His career included many years with Vicon, a national manufacturing firm of hearing aids, his own retail hearing aid business and a final career in insurance sales and estate planning. He was the high school hockey coach at Fountain Valley School for 15 years and was very active in promoting the Southern Colorado Youth Tennis Association in the late 1960's and 1970's. Leonard thoroughly enjoyed camping, fishing and everthing to do with recreational vehicles. His other interests included golf, tennis and traveling. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colorado College, earmarked for athletic scholarship.

Martinez -- Felix Martinez, 82, passed away December 30, 2000. He was a native New Mexican, son of Desiderio and Lorencita Martinez, and a Veteran of WWII, serving in France and Germany. Prior to retiring from the City of Albuquerque in 1979, he was a bartender for many years at Fred Harveys Alvarado Hotel and the Coronado Club. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rose Urioste Martinez; children, Phillip Martinez and wife, Jill, Connie Martinez and husband, Harry, Felix Martinez Jr., and wife, Suzanne, Ernestine Sedillo and husband, Richard, Caroline Quintana and husband, Quentin, Marie Trujillo and husband, Larry, Desi Martinez and wife, Bernadette, Joseph Martinez and fiancée Tresha Apodaca; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Julio Martinez and wife, Clara, and numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Northrup -- M.A. "Mert" Northrup, born in Iowa March 16, 1925, passed from this life on January 1, 2001, in his adopted home city of Yuma, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Dixie Northrup of Tres Piedras, NM, and leaves behind a loving family. three children, daughter, Linda and husband, Martin Stark of Placitas, NM, daughter, Lana and husband, Stephen Hartwell of Yuma, and son, T.K. Heston of Questa, NM; three grandchildren, Amy and husband, Michael Obney of Ft. Sheridan, IL, Ryan Stark of Placitas, and Jody and wife, Rhadona Stark of Albuquerque; three brothers, Everett, Harlan, and Marlan Northrup; and sister, Marilyn Burkhardt and their families. Padilla -- Mrs. Maria L. Padilla, 69, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 2, 1001. Mrs. Padilla is survived by her four daughters, Luz Elena Casaus, Elizabeth Perez and husband, Federico, Sara Villalobos and Maria Jaramillo and husband, Teodoro; two sons, Alvaro Marquez and wife, Maria Carrillo and Amin David Marquez; companion of ten years, James Lucero; two sisters, Jesus Martinez and Rita Morales and husband Filiberto; two brothers, Fermin Padilla and wife, Velia and Gregorio Padilla; 19 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Jessy Villalobos. Visitation for Mrs. Padilla will be Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 noon at Aposanto Alto Church, 2501 Alamogordo NW with Pastor Ruben Guarjardo, officiating. Interment will follow at the Sandia Cemetery in Alameda. Pallbearers will be Alvaro Marquez, Amin David Marquez, Teodoro Jaramillo, Federico Perez, Jessy Villalobos and Frank Sandoval. Ramirez -- Alejandro R. Ramirez died Monday in Albuquerque at the age of 20. Alejandro is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Giron. He is survived by his father, Angel Ramirez; mother, Linda Ramirez; grandfather, Louie Sainz; six aunts; four uncles; and several cousins. Funeral Services for Alejandro will be held on Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Rosenthal -- Stanley R. Rosenthal 81, of Albuquerque, NM passed away December 30, 2000 in Sun City West, AZ, he was born in New York City, NY on April 4, 1919. He was a self employed Pharmacist and also worked for the out patient pharmacy at the University of New Mexico. He was a graduate of St. Johns University, member of Temple Albert, Veteran of WWII, US Army. He founded the Friends of the Library and the Volunteer Fire Department in Rio Rancho, NM. He was on the Board of Directors, Village of Rio Rancho, Volunteer for the Cancer Society, Score and Jr. Achievement, also Ombudsman for State Agency on Aging. Survived by his wife, Eileen; children, Dave and Jacqui Berstein, Gail Werde, and Bonita and Tom Redling all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brooke, Dayna, Shanna Berstein. Contributions suggested to charity of choice.

Rupert -- Norman M. Rupert, born April 17, 1915 in Raton, NM passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at Manor Care Heights Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, to whom he was married for 57 years. They moved from Raton to Albuquerque in 1941. He is survived by a brother, Charles; sisters, Thelma Dwight and husband, Jesse and Mary Oldham; sons, Ronald and wife, Ann, and Richard and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Randal, Russell, Carolyn, Rhonda, Michael, Christopher and Renee; great-grandchild, Gabriel; and nieces and nephews. Norman was a prominent Albuquerque businessman who started Rupert Plumbing and Heating in the early 50's, and was active in the business for over 40 years. He always enjoyed having a project, ranging from gardening, to building a large in-ground fiberglass swimming pool by hand. He cast and finished a scale model brass cannon, and held a US patent on a burglar system he devised. He was a member of the Masons Temple Lodge No. 6, the Shrine Band and was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 461. He also belonged to the Plumbers/Pipefitters Local Union 412, and was a past president of the Mechanical Contractors Association. Cremation has taken place. A reception will be held for family and friends Saturday, at the residence of Richard Rupert, 9523 Pebble Beach Drive NE, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to All Faiths Receiving Home, 1709 Moon NE 87112. Mrs. Smith was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Albuquerque in the late 60's. She retired from General Electric in 1994.
