Obituary for Hock

Oliver Gordon Hock, 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died Tuesday, January 2, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy L. Hock and finance, Philip Vigil of Peralta, NM; son, Leroy D. Hock; granddaughter, Stephanie K. Hock, both of Albuquerque; sisters, Hazel Porter of Blackwell, OK, Maxine Tracy of Ardmore, OK, Joyce Webb of Arkansas City, KS and Pat Walters of Gueda Springs, KS; mother of his children, Kathy Justus of Shell Knob, MO; mother of his grandchild, Sylvia R. Ward of Albuquerque; and his best buddy his dog, Lucky. Mr. Hock was preceded in death by his brothers, Jess Hock, Glenn Hock, Paul Hock, Vinton Hock, Vernon Hock, Milford (Tim) Hock and Marion Hock, sister, Mildred Shockley, mother, Hazel Kelly Hock, and father, Oliver Benton Hock. Gordon was born in Portland, KS and brought his family to Albuquerque in 1971. He was a teacher at TVI, automotive trades, and the NM Correctional Institute. He loved photography and his dogs. He served in the Us Army during the Korean Conflict. He was owner of Gordon's Transmission in Los Lunas. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday before service.
