Grimm -- Edna Jane (Volk) Grimm, 86, died December 30, 2000 in Albuquerque after a long illness. She was born November 14, 1914 in Estancia, NM to Benjamin and Elsie (McKee) Volk. Edna is survived by a niece, Genevieve Fisher and husband, Bill; a nephew, James D. Hall, all of Albuquerque; seven great-nieces and nephews; and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her stepson, Jack Grimm and wife, Peg; grandchildren, Teri Trias, Todd Grimm and wife, Mona, and Lori Kaneyuki and husband, Rich; and eight great-grandchildren, all of California. After graduating from Santa Fe High School in 1933, Edna worked for the US Government in Las Vegas, NM, Fort Worth, TX and Washington, DC as well as Edwards Air Force Base in CA. She furthered her education in night school, did some modeling and was a superb horsewoman. After moving to California in the 1940's, she met and married John Grimm and kept the books for his electrical contracting business in Barstow, CA. John died in 1978 and Edna continued living there until 1995 when she returned to Albuquerque due to ill health. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 5, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Road and Meadowlark Lane in Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery (near Cerrillos and Cordova Roads) in Santa Fe.
