Lange -- Paul Lange, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died at home Monday after a long battle with heart disease. Paul was born in Frankfurt, Germany on July 26, 1911, the son of Amelia and Dr. Hans Lange. He immigrated to the US in 1929 at the age of 18, lived on Long Island, New York and worked for ten years in the foreign department of Chase National Bank, where he met his wife of 60 years, Jeanette. After marrying and having two children, he moved his family to Santa Fe in 1945, after visiting his father, who spent the summers in Santa Fe while serving as conductor of the Chicago symphony, later the Santa Fe Symphonietta and Albuquerque Civic Symphony. Paul was hired by Ned Wood at Santa Fe Motor Company where he worked as business manager and secretary-treasurer for 37 years. Gardening, music and travel were his passions. Paul is survived by his loving and ever faithful wife, Jeanette; his daughter, Barbara (Bunnie) Rotto and husband ,Dick of Houston and Santa Fe; son, Paul Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Albuquerque; and sister, Annemarie of Macon, Georgia; five grandchildren, Michelle Rotto Bulla, Sue Rotto Ilg, Richard Kyle Rotto, Donald Paul Rotto and Ron Marcinelli; and five great-grandchildren, Dallas and Garrett Bulla, Cody and Tanner Ilg, Morgan Rotto; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 2500 Camino Entrada, Suite A, Santa Fe, 87505.

Young -- Rachel C. Young, 96, passed away August 11, 1999. Rachel was born on January 30, 1903 in Clarksville, Texas to Rev. D.F. and Lena Corley Hamilton. Her husband, Ransom H. Young, preceded her in death. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special nephew, Kelvin Young, who cared for her for 12 years until her passing. Funeral services will be Monday, August 16, 1999, 1:00 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, with Rev. Victor Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelvin Young, Elder Michael Beard, James Young, Cleophus Young, Sr., Eddie Young, Bobby Young, Trent Smith, Kenneth Walker, Robert Pouges, James Pouges, Rev. Neidigk -- Oscar Victor Neidigk, 80, a devoted husband and father, fell asleep in Christ, Sunday, August 8, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Rhoda; daughter, Suzanne Martin and husband, Michael; and sons, Donald and wife, Kathryn, David and wife, Sandra, Richard and wife, Brenda, all of the Albuquerque area; grandchildren, Rebecca and Shannon Martin of Portland, OR, Pamela Christy of San Antonio, TX, Laura Geiger, Ceri Gerrish, Stephanie Gerrish, Kendall Gerrish, Nathan Neidigk and Stephen Neidigk, all of Albuquerque, Matthew Neidigk of Alamogordo, NM; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Zachariah Christy and Paul and Matthew Geiger; and sister, Hazel Huber and husband, Carl of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by daughter, Carol Smith; a great-granddaughter, Erika Geiger; and a brother, Roland Neidigk. Private committal services were held at Sunset Memorial Park. Sheppard -- Floyd A. Sheppard, 87, died on August 9, 1999 in Albuquerque. He was born in Logan County, Arkansas and worked in the oil fields in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana for 30 years before moving to Albuquerque in 1961, where he worked for Furrs Cafeteria until early retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Hazel; and a daughter, Nancy. He is survived by two sons, Floyd Sheppard Jr. and wife, Cheryl of Ozona, TX and Donald Sheppard and wife, Jodie of Grants, NM; a daughter, Dorothy Scoggins of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., this evening, at Sandia Funeral Care. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. Neidigk -- Oscar Victor Neidigk, 80, a devoted husband and father, fell asleep in Christ, Sunday, August 8, 1999. He was born at a sawmill in Magnolia, TX, August 4, 1919. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; daughter, Suzanne Martin and husband, Michael; and sons, Donald and wife, Kathryn, David and wife, Sandra, Richard and wife, Brenda, all of the Albuquerque area; grandchildren, Rebecca and Shannon Martin of Portland, OR, Pamela Christy of San Antonio, TX, Laura Geiger of Albuquerque, Matthew Neidigk of Alamogordo, NM and Nathan and Stephen Neidigk of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Zachariah Christy and Paul and Matthew Geiger; and sister, Hazel Huber and husband, Carl of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by daughter, Carol Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Erika Geiger. Victor served his country in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy during World War II, enlisting as an apprentice seaman in 1939 and being discharged in 1946 as a warrant officer. He was assigned to the Naval Hospital at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack and later was stationed in England. He participated in several LST landings at Normandy during the D-Day invasion of France. He was on a ship preparing to invade Japan when the war ended. A former resident of Hobbs, NM, Victor was employed by Amerada Hess and later Mobile Oil from which he retired in 1983. His Christian faith was important to Victor. He was a member of Faith in Christ Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder, treasurer, Bible class teacher, and occasional preacher. A favorite Bible verse was Romans 1:16,"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." At Victor's request memorial gifts may be sent to Faith in Christ Lutheran Church and designated for seminary scholarship assistance. A private committal service was held at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 12, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at Faith in Christ Lutheran Church, 1750 Faith Ct. NE, with Rev. Roger Wohletz officiating.

Frankenfeld -- 1924-1999 Mary Frankenfeld, 74, passed away on July 30, 1999 in the comfort of her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Enid, Oklahoma on January 4, 1924. She was married to Philip Frankenfeld on January 10, 1942. They moved to New Mexico in 1949. She is survived by Philip, her lifelong companion of 57 years; two children, Mary Beth Frankenfeld of Albuquerque, and Kenneth R. Frankenfeld and daughter-in-law, Sarah of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Chad Hill of Tampa, FL, Kenya Hill of Albuquerque, and Kevin, Kyle and Caroline Frankenfeld of Austin, TX; two brothers, Charles Hopwood and wife, Pat of Coral Springs, FL, Donald Hopwood of Bridgeport, WV; and sister, Anice Sutherland of Fairfax, VA. Mary pursued a professional career outside of her home for most of her adult life, with many years employed with Hunter Lumber Company as their office manager. She retired in 1984. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Parish for many years, and was most recently active in the Cancer Prayer Service. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to everyone at Presbyterian Hospice for the loving care they provided over the last few months.
