Obituary for Frankenfield

1924-1999 Mary Frankenfield, 74, passed away on July 30, 1999 in the comfort of her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Enid, Oklahoma on January 4, 1924. She was married to Philip Frankenfield on January 10, 1942. They moved to New Mexico in 1949. She is survived by Philip, her lifelong companion of 57 years; two children, Mary Beth Frankenfield of Albuquerque, and Kenneth R. Frankenfield and daughter-in-law, Sarah of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Chad Hill of Tampa, FL, Kenya Hill of Albuquerque, and Kevin, Kyle and Caroline Frankenfield of Austin, TX; two brothers, Charles Hopwood and wife, Pat of Coral Springs, FL, Donald Hopwood of Bridgeport, WV, and Alice Sutherland of Fairfax, VA. Mary pursued a professional career outside of her home for most of her adult life, with many years employed with Hunter Lumber Company as their office manager. She retired in 1984. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Parish for many years, and was most recently active in the Cancer Prayer Service. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to everyone at Presbyterian Hospice for the loving care they provided over the last few months. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel.
