Young -- Rachel C. Young, 96, passed away August 11, 1999. Rachel was born on January 30, 1903 in Clarksville, Texas to Rev. D.F. and Lena Corley Hamilton. Her husband, Ransom H. Young, preceded her in death. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special nephew, Kelvin Young, who cared for her for 12 years until her passing. Funeral services will be Monday, August 16, 1999, 1:00 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, with Rev. Victor Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelvin Young, Elder Michael Beard, James Young, Cleophus Young, Sr., Eddie Young, Bobby Young, Trent Smith, Kenneth Walker, Robert Pouges, James Pouges, Rev. Frank Williams and Wash Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie B. Corley, Glen Chelf, Robert Macbeth, Johnny Carruthers and Donald Young.
