Klapper, and"Papa" William Cole Jr. She is survived by her husband, Bob of Rio Rancho; daughters, Tammy and husband, Anthony Flammia of Albuquerque, Karen Arnold of Rio Rancho; mother, Betty Saabye of California; sisters, Bonny and husband, Leon Stock of McIntosh, NM, Janice and husband, David Caton of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Tom Klapper of Moriarty, Guy and wife, Tammi Cole of California; and one unborn granddaughter. Danyabeth was a very loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Danyabeth was heavily involved with Albuquerque Intrenation Balloon Fiesta. Bienko -- Stanley J. Bienko, 83, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 17 years, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 1999. Stanley was born September 26, 1915, the son of Jan and Antonia Dragan Bienko in Rochester, Vermont. Stanley had been with the Michigan State Liquor Commission, working in their stores for over 20 years before retiring. He was Past Commander and Chapter Commander for the Department of Purple Heart for the State of New Mexico, Stanley established the Department of Purple Heart for New Mexico, he was a member and officer of the Disabled American Veterans #5, the American Legion #121, and the V.F.W. Post 5890, he was a Past Golden Rodent of the National Order of Trench Rats, Dugout #555, he was also a Fourth Degree Knight, Teatum Club Knights of Columbus, and a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol, Falcon Squadron. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Sophie, in March of 1999. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Angeline Galwas of Rio Rancho; nieces, Theresa Budge, Bernadette Konpka, Maxine Morris, Sheryl Kennedy; nephews, Thomas Bienko, Max Bienko, and Anthony Wojtowicz, all from Michigan. The visitation will be today, Tuesday, August 3, 1999, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 5:00 p.m. followed by the American Legion service and the V.F.W. service. These will be held in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 4, 1999, 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Buvens -- Richard H. Buvens, 68, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, July 31, 1999. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Ginny Buvens; daughters, Lori Walker, Sheri Buvens, Cindi Buvens and her partner, Keith and Suzi Gruen and her husband, Mark; six grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Ella, Janet, Martha, Claudia and Pat. Carrejo -- Mr. Willie C. Carrejo, 72, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 1, 1999. Mr. Carrejo was the beloved husband of 48 years to Mrs. Theresa Carrejo. He is also survived by his daughters, Roberta Jones and husband, Leon and Pamela Wintermute and husband, Timothy; three sons, Emilio Carrejo and wife, Denise, William"Billy" Carrejo Jr. and girlfriend, Debbie Rigdon, and Frank John Carrejo; five sisters, Julia Armijo and husband, Richard, Shela Jiron and husband, Ernest, Lucy Armijo and husband, Daniel, Annie Jiron and husband, David and Theresa Saavedra and husband, Frank; four brothers, J.J. Carrejo and wife, Viola, Ernest Carrejo, Roy Carrejo and wife, Dolores and Nestor Carrejo and wife, Lupe; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Carrejo was a member of the Catholic Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. Willie had been a truck driver in the lumber business for 30 years before retiring in 1989. Collins -- John D. Collins, born July 10, 1925, died peacefully August 1, 1999 at home. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Jo Collins. He served his country in WWII from November 1943 to January 1946. He was wounded in combat and received a purple heart. He is survived by his daughter, Susan DeArmond and husband, Gene and, their two sons, Jon and Richard of Las Cruces, NM; sons, Mike Collins, Steve Collins and wife, Elodie, and their daughters, Emily and Sarah. Frankenfield -- 1924-1999 Mary Frankenfield, 74, passed away on July 30, 1999 in the comfort of her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Enid, Oklahoma on January 4, 1924. She was married to Philip Frankenfield on January 10, 1942. They moved to New Mexico in 1949. She is survived by Philip, her lifelong companion of 57 years; two children, Mary Beth Frankenfield of Albuquerque, and Kenneth R. Frankenfield and daughter-in-law, Sarah of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Chad Hill of Tampa, FL, Kenya Hill of Albuquerque, and Kevin, Kyle and Caroline Frankenfield of Austin, TX; two brothers, Charles Hopwood and wife, Pat of Coral Springs, FL, Donald Hopwood of Bridgeport, WV, and Alice Sutherland of Fairfax, VA. Mary pursued a professional career outside of her home for most of her adult life, with many years employed with Hunter Lumber Company as their office manager. She retired in 1984. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Parish for many years, and was most recently active in the Cancer Prayer Service. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to everyone at Presbyterian Hospice for the loving care they provided over the last few months. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel. Geesey -- Jack L. Geesey, (Msg. USAF Ret.), born October 21, 1923 at Fairview, MT, to Arthur L. and Sadie Geesey, died Friday, July 30, 1999 at his home in Albuquerque. He is survived by Nancy, his wife; daughter, Susan Foster of Palo Alto, CA; and his son, Jack Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, and their families. Also surviving are his siblings, George of Missoula, MT, Ray and Roy of Kennewick, WA, and Bessie Madsen of Kizer, OR, and their families. Mr. Geesey was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a 32nd Degree Mason with membership in Oregon Military Lodge No. 223. At his request, no services will be held. Gurule -- Ricky Gurule, 34, a resident of Belen, passed away on August 1, 1999. He participated in Toys for Tots, the Motorcycle Run in Albuquerque and Los Lunas, as well as the Monster Truck festivals, entering his monster truck and jeep. Ricky was a very kind hearted person who was always ready to help his friends. He was known for his mantanzas, which he always had for his family and friends for Christmas. Ricky always did things for a good cause; he will be greatly missed by all of this friends and family. Ricky was preceded in death by his aunt, Mabel Gallegos in 1998; his uncles, Dennis in 1998 and David Gallegos in 1999. He is survived by his fiancee, Dorothy Sanchez; his loving parents, Martin and Sally Gurule; his three brothers, John and his wife, Donna, Tommy and his wife, Valerie, Marty and his wife, Lisa; one sister, Gloria Gonzales and her husband, Jason. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews; as well as his very special friends, Jeon, Ray and Shirley Sanchez, and Frank Torres. Horchheimer -- Shirley Ann Horchheimer, age 45, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 1999. Shirley was born on September 28, 1953, in Albuquerque. She graduated from Valley High School in 1971 and received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1975 and her Master of Arts degree in Psychology and Personnel Services in 1976 from ENMU. Shirley spent the majority of her career working as an adjudicator and as an Adjudicator Specialist for the New Mexico Disability Determination Services. She was a previous member of the First Baptist Church and Northside Baptist Church. Shirley had a gentle spirit with an incredible sense of humor and a deep love for animals, her friends and her family. She was an excellent cook and was the first person to provide food, transportation and help whenever one of her friends or family members was hurt or in trouble. Shirley was also an avid sports fan and supported the Dallas Cowboys and the Lobos. She spent a great deal of time helping abused and/or abandoned animals. Because of her, many dogs and cats are in safe and loving homes. Shirley's death has created an incredible void in the lives of the family and friends who loved her so deeply. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Lawrence J. Horchheimer, in September, 1987. Shirley is survived by her mother, Dorothy A. Horchheimer; a brother, Steve W. Horchheimer and his fiancee, Angela Webb; sister, Beverly H. Wyche; her cherished doggies and kitty, Bailey, Maggie, Huero, Jody and Jett; and her many special friends. Kershner -- Wilma D. Kershner, 83, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, July 31, 1999. She is cherished by her daughter, Patricia Kershner and husband, Alan Gross; son, Robert Kershner; grandson, John Alan Gross; and granddaughter, Katherine Jane Gross; cat, Mimi; and dear friends. Wilma loved the mountains, birds, swimming, and dining out with friends. Her goal was to try every restaurant in Albuquerque. She was a charter member of Soroptimist, an avid gardener, and in the nursery business for over 35 years. Levine -- Irving Levine, 84, died Sunday, August 1, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Peg Gerard; three children, Matthew, Michael, and Elena Levine; two step-children, Sheila Mints and David McHaffey; and four grandchildren, Daniel Mints, Jack,Gem and Roxanne McHaffey. Born in New York City in 1914, he became an architect, landscape architect, and professor at Pratt Institute. During WWII he drove a truck over the Burma road and edited two army newspapers. He felt his greatest accomplishment was the three books of poetry he wrote and published called Of Continuum, Vol. I, II, III. Upon retirement he moved with his wife to Albuquerque and devoted his time to exploring the Southwest, refining old manuscripts for publication, taking classes at Bear Canyon Senior Center and playing the folk fiddle. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 3, in New York City. There will be a Celebration of his Life in Albuquerque as soon as arrangements have been made. Mara -- Heather Hull Mara, 47, a former instructor at TVI, died at her home on June 25th after battling a rare form of cancer for over six years. Heather taught in several California colleges before moving to Albuquerque, where she taught logic, philosophy, and ethics in the Arts and Sciences Division of TVI. Salat -- Lucia D. Salat November 14, 1920 - July 29, 1999Lucia D. Salat died on July 29, 1999 after an illness. She was born in London, England on November 14, 1920. Lucia was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Salat; and by her second son, Jon. She is survived by her daughter, Lana Kimbrough-James; her son, Frank E. Salat; two brothers, Franklin C. Denton and Edward H. Denton; by her sister, Clyde M. Kamitchis; and by four nieces and one nephew. She has five grandsons, Keegan E. Kimbrough, Travis J. Kimbrough, Joshua D. James, John B. Salat and Nathan A. Salat. During her active life, Lucia owned and operated Albuquerque Court Reporters and served on the staffs of numerous prominent attorneys in Albuquerque. Her hobbies included a fervent love of bridge. She played regularly at the Duke City Bridge Club where she had earned 225 Master's points, was a NAC Master, and was striving for Life Master status. Her family and many friends will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2:00 p.m., at St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE. Savage -- Rev. Kenzy Kulman Savage, 87, a resident of the Albuquerque area since 1959, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Esther Savage of Albuquerque; daughters, Bobbie Jean Wheeler and husband, Floyd of Edgewood, Patsy Joyce Jenks and husband, Lyle of Rio Rancho; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Reverend Paul W. Savage and wife, Ruth of Albuquerque; and sister, Reverend Betty Lou Savage of Wichita Falls, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hulet Melton and Anna Mae Savage; and one sister, Ora Bell Joyner. Reverend Savage began preaching in August of 1928 and retired in August of 1993. He had been a Pastor in Alvord and San Antonio, TX, as well as in Mountainair, Belen, and Santa Fe, NM. Reverend Savage was a member of Aposento Alto/Praise Chapel of Albuquerque. He was active in the Latin American District Council of the Assemblies of God serving as Official Evangelist in New Mexico, Secretary, Presbyter, Conference Supt/District Missionary to Cuba, and Supt Latin American Bible Institute. He also served in the Central Latin American District as Secretary, Mission Director, Royal Ranger Commander and Superintendent. He was a member of the General Presbytery of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, and now Honorary General Presbyter of the same. Memorial services will be held Monday, August 2, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at the Aposento Alto/Praise Chapel, 2501 Alamogordo, NW, and funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 1999, 10:00 a.m., at the Aposento Alto/Praise Chapel, 2501 Alamogordo NW, with District Superintendent Rev. Schroeder -- Dr. Florence M. Schroeder, 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1939, died Friday, July 30, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Michael J. Toledo of Jemez Pueblo, Steve Schroeder of Albuquerque and Fredric K. Schroeder and wife, Cathlene of Vienna, VA; daughter, June T. Leonard and husband, Jay of Albuquerque; grandsons, Loren Toledo of Durango, CO, Marc A. Emerson, John Schroeder, Christopher Schroeder, all of Albuquerque, and Matthew Schroeder of Vienna, VA; and granddaughters, Jennifer Schroeder of Albuquerque and Carrie Schroeder of Vienna, VA. Dr. Schroeder was a member of the Believers Center. She was a Professor at U.N.M. for 33 1/2 years and had been a faculty member since 1932 at State College Fargo, ND. Dr. Schroeder was a member of Phi Mu Sorority for over 60 years; a member of A.A.U.W. for over 50 years; member of Albuquerque Home Economics; board member of Martinez Town Community Center. She received a Bachelors degree from Iowa State University; Masters degree from Teachers College, Columbia University; PH.D. in Child Development and Home Economics at New York University, NY; attended University of Heidelberg, German and University of London. Dr. Schroeder directed W.P.A. nursery schools in New York City, NY from 1933-1938; she also organized and directed the nursery and kindergarten programs in Los Alamos from 1945-1946. Torres -- Alvarado Salazar (A.S.) Torres, resident of Belen, was born on January 18, 1911, to Juan and Maria Salazar and passed away on August 1, 1999. Mr. Torres was predeceased by Helen, his wife of 53 years, in 1990; and by his daughter, Carmen, in 1964. Mr. Torres is survived by his daughters, Bessie Aragon of Albuquerque, Frances Perotti of Belen, Lorraine Garcia of Belen, and Mary Ellen Pruess of Lakewood, CO; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Rose Moya of Los Lunas; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Torres was a member of the Tome Land Grant, New Mexico Locksmith Assoc., Knights of Columbus, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Belen Catholic Church. He retired from Sandia National Labs after 21 years of service. He then owned and operated Torres Key Shop for 25 years while maintaining a Spanish/English translation service. He wrote two books on Spanish elementary education. Cremation has already taken place and Mass will be celebrated at the Belen Catholic Church on August 5, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ulibarri -- Elvira Ulibarri, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Monday, August 2, 1999. She is survived by her children, Lupe Villafaria and Irene Gallegos, both of Albuquerque, Samuel Ulibarri and wife, Monty and Steve Ulibarri and wife, Helen all of Barstow, CA, Becky Olivas and Eloyda Sanchez and husband, Eddie, all of Albuquerque; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Phil Rael of Los Lunas; sister, Teresita Martinez and husband, Patrocino of Sanger, CA; and brother, Louis Rael and wife, Julia of Keene, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vivian Ulibarri; and daughters, Lydia Salazar and Rita Lopez. Mrs. Ulibarri was a member of Rio Grande Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE, with Pastor Ramon Cano officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Sanchez. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Orlando Griego, Danny Gallegos, Mitchell Salazar, Michael Salazar, Mark Ulibarri and Adan Ulibarri. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Wilson -- Dorothy E. Wilson, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Sunday, August 1, 1999. She is survived by her brothers, Donald E. Wilson of Albuquerque and James L. Wilson of Tyrone, GA; cousins, Edith Carrol of Cokedale, CO, Ernest Malovich and Elsie Beasley, both of Littleton, CO; sister-in-law, Carrie Malovich of Green Valley, AZ; nephew, Michael Wilson of Albuquerque; and niece, Catherine Bynon of Rio Rancho. Miss Wilson was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Father Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
