CALDWELL -- Greggory Ray Caldwell passed away at his home in Albuquerque on November 13, 2003, at the age of 34. Born in Albuquerque, raised in Santa Fe, he is survived by his mother, Lynda Madrid and husband, Michael; brother, David; all of Santa Fe; aunt and uncle, Joan and George Robbins; of Phoenix, AZ; cousin, Geoffry Robbins of Albuquerque; grandmother, Virginia Robbins; of Memphis, TN; niece, Tasha Caldwell of Albuquerque; his closest confidants, Julie Carrasco and Luis Arias; life-long friend Gerhardt Ackerman; Godson, Angus Brownrigg - all from Albuquerque and of course, Carlos, his fabulous hairless cat; along with too-many-to-name beloved friends. Gregg came to Albuquerque to become one of the city's most sought after stylists. In the 1990's he owned IBEX Hair Salon, later worked for the prestigious Joseph Cozza Salon in San Francisco. Returning to New Mexico he worked at NEUN, then Heart & Soul Salon. This year he moved to CHEZ D'OR Salon & Day Spa. Never one to sit still, Greggory traveled the world and loved to shop, with an exquisite eye for fashion (one of his many passions). He was an active volunteer for many causes and was a key organizer for such benefits as the early Creme de la Do and the Elsa Ross Fashion Shows. His generosity was endless, and he was a fiercely loyal ally. His passing will be felt for a long time in this city - the butterfly effect of someone who touches and affects so many others. Gregg's sardonic wit, memorable laugh and benevolent heart will be terribly missed by all of his family and friends; all those people who loved him deeply. One of his favorite songwriters, Ben Watt from Everything But the Girl put it best in their song Old Friends: "Standing here with my arm around you life's moved on And all its borderlines are being redrawn The winter has come the roads are white Everyone's home late tonight May we stay or will it depend as old friends In the end still old friends" Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to an animal shelter or charity of your choice. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (505) 897-0300

LIBBY -- Ethel Mae Libby, March 13, 1923 to November 11, 2003. French Mortuary would like to apologize to the Libby Family for the incorrect obituary published Sunday morning. Please don't be saddened by our mother's death. A heartless disease called Alzheimer's took her from us years ago. She and we have had to live with the pain of memories that were clouded and ultimately lost. Don't shed tears; just be happy for our mother is finally free. Instead take comfort in remembering a strikingly handsome woman who in her twenties had jet black hair and the bluest eyes you've ever seen. She stood tall along side her husband even when he moved her out West to Albuquerque from her hometown of Springfield Mo. In 1944. She learned to hunt and fish with Ralph and even bit her tongue in silence when he set the kitchen dish towels on fire in attempts to rid his game of pin feathers after having a few cold beers. She also learned how to shoot trap quite well and endured the long hours dad spent loading his own shells and cleaning his guns. Know how much she enjoyed their close friends that would come to the house on Friday nights and spread the old green army blanket on the kitchen table to play cards and tell jokes to relieve the stress of their daily lives. Remember what a great cook she was and that she always made her pie dough from scratch. When asked for the recipe, she would say, well you're going to have to watch me and write it down. She was good at sewing dresses for her little girls and herself on her old singer sewing machine. Understand the pride she took in her career on Sandia Base for those many years and all the outstanding service awards she received. She had a green thumb despite dads hunting dogs always jumping into her fence contained flower beds and crushing something that had yet to bloom or digging it up to burry a ripe old dog bone there. Know that she cherished her four daughters and brought them up to be wonderful caring mothers in their own right. She thought the world of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and bragged on them every chance she could. And least we forget how mom loved her son in laws, the only sons she would ever have in this life. When you think of our mother Ethel, please smile and cut a pretty bunch of wild flowers from your yard to set on your kitchen table, mom would like that. We will always remember you mom, all our love your girls, Linda, Peggy, Becky & Jo. Ethel was preceded in death by an infant sister, her parents, Oliver and Sarah Crosswhite and two brothers, Keith and Lee and her husband of thirty six years, Ralph. She is survived by her brothers, Carl Crosswhite and Dr. Joe Crosswhite and by her sister, Nell Jersak Her daughters: Linda Soros and husband Sam, Peggy Case and husband Fred, Becky Horton, Jo Brown and husband Damon. Grandchildren: Scott and Ken Mitchell, Eric, Ki and Mike Case, Levi and Jesse Horton, Mark and Nicole Brown. Great grand children: Britain, Samantha and Shane Mitchell, Alyssa Case, Lezley and Sabrina Case, Clohe Horton and Nayla and Blaine Mitchell. A memorial service will be held at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2003. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
