Obituary for CHAVEZ

Mr. Miguel R. Chavez, 83, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 16, 2003 peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family. Mr. Chavez is the beloved husband of 58 years to Mrs. Amalia D. Chavez. Mr. Chavez is also survived by his loving daughters, Lupe Gallegos and husband, Narciso, Luz Romero and husband, Jim H., Trini Romero and husband, Randy; one sister, Frances Ortiz; one brother, Trinidad Chavez and wife, Gloria; eight grandchildren, Anthony Gallegos, Martin Gallegos and wife, Katie, Melissa Romero, Marie Madrid and husband, Chris, Cindy Gallegos, Vanessa Romero, James Romero and Randy Michael Romero; five great grandchildren, Nicole and William Gallegos, Marissa, Cassandra and Gabriel Madrid; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Chavez is preceded in death by a daughter, Placida Chavez. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church, Past President of the San Jose Society for over 30 years, Usher at San Jose Church for 40 years, Auxiliary Member in the Legion of Mary, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. A visitation for Mr. Chavez will be Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Dennis Garcia. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be, Anthony Gallegos, Martin Gallegos, James Romero, Randy Michael Romero, Chris Madrid and Nick Sais. Honorary pallbearers will be, Pat Lewis, Dennis Lucero and Michael Ortiz. Arrangements by: GABALDON MORTUARY 1000 OLD COORS RD. SW 243-7861
