Abel Garcia, age 58, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2003 in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus R. and Cuca Garcia. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Macias and husband, Elias, Rose Marie Tafoya and husband, Anthony; nephews, Anthony Macias, Dav Tafoya, Armando Tafoya and Javier Tafoya; nieces, Anna Marie Villegas and husband, Jaime, Carolyn McCarley and husband, David; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Abel was well known as an expert Shoe Repair Man in Albuquerque, for many years at Central Shoe Repair on Broadway. Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 820 Broadway SE. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2003. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2003. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Armando Tafoya, Dav Tafoya, Anthony Macias, Jaime Villegas, Tony Tafoya, Joshua McCarley, David McCarley, and Antonio Macias. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST.
