Obituary for CLEVER

Caroline Clever. In loving memory of our mom; and dad's wife. Caroline passed to the hands of our Creator on Thursday, November 13, 2003. Caroline was born February 3, 1962 in Albuquerque to Sebastian and Rosa Landesberger. The Landesberger family had moved to New Mexico from Munich, Germany and Caroline's father established his Wastel Construction business. Caroline was a Crimson Scholar at the University of New Mexico where she earned B.A. and M.S. Degrees in Mathematic Education. She was employed as a mathematics teacher by Cibola High School in Albuquerque, the Baptist Bible College of Springfield, Missouri, the American Indian Science and Engineering Society and New Mexico State University/Dona Ana Branch, General Studies Department. Caroline worked in Atmospheric Research for NASA in Langley, Virginia and developed the Pathfinder course for Native American college students to pursue studies that would lead to future careers with NASA. Survivors include her loving husband, George Clever of the family home; two sons, Joseph and Daniel Clever both of Las Cruces; her sister, Rosmarie Peters of East Lansing, Michigan; and her grandfather, Sebastian Landesberger of Munich, Germany. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in Mesilla Park Community Church, 3100 Oak Street with Pastor Dennis Diaz officiating. The service will also be a Memorial to her mother, Rosa Landesberger , who also died in their car accident near Phoenix, Arizona.
