BALLARD -- Davina "Dee" Ballard, 52, loving wife of David Ballard and a resident of Albuquerque since 1997, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 10th, 2004, after a long illness. Dee, loving daughter of James Seivewright and the late Ann Seivewright; daughter-in-law of Catherine Ballard and the late George Ballard; loving sister of Audrey Seivewright, Alistair Seivewright, Ann Dibbens and husband, Raymond, Maureen Ross and husband, Cameron, Maurice Seivewright, Karen & Richard Sohayda, loving aunt of Denise, Louise, Adam, Heather, Dawn, Allen. CASEY -- Altha Juanita Casey, 84, born in Tishamingo, Oklahoma in 1920, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, December 11, 2004. CLINE -- Roy Cline, Jr. Roy went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2004. He was born July 1, 1914 in Osage, OK and moved with his parents and six sisters to New Mexico in 1926. In 1931 Roy Jr. helped his parents by being a co-founder of Clines Corners, NM. He served with distinction in the Army Air Corps during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Roy married Joy May Shay on December 13, 1941 in Las Vegas, NV. Along with co-founding Clines Corners, Roy owned Half Moon Truck Stop just west of Santa Rosa, making him one of the Route 66 pioneers. After selling the Half Moon due to the new interstate highway system, Roy moved his family to Albuquerque in 1959 where he operated a construction company, invested in properties and development and other entrepreneur activities. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Sr. and Daisy Cline and his six sisters. He is survived by two sons, Michael and wife Carol, of Albuquerque, Jerry and wife Rosalia, of Los Lunas; and one daughter, Sharon McClain and husband Marcus, of Santa Fe; five grandchildren, Michael Jr., Melissa, Michele, Candice and Crystal; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial service will take place on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. COCA -- Anthony (Tony) Will Coca left this world peacefully on Monday, December 13, 2004 to join his parents, Marcella Will and Alfredo Coca Sr. and his beloved grandson, David Coca. Tony was born August 2, 1920, in Las Vegas, NM. He attended school there until he entered the Army Air Corps, where he served 5 years. He was employed at the LASL (LANL) in Los Alamos until his retirement in 1982. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth; son, Michael Anthony; daughter Eileen Mraule and husband, John; grandson, Anthony Will; granddaughters, Lisa Bettle, Erikka Mraule; Aimee Penny; and great-grandchildren, Maxwell Bettle, Orquidea, Liliana, and Jasmine Penny. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alfredo Jr., and Frank; and grandson, David Coca. Tony was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Los Alamos for 56 years, and was active in the Los Alamos Chapter of The Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post 90, the DAV, and a member of the Carpenter's Union. Rosary will be held Thursday, December 16, 2004, 7:00 p.m., at Sangre de Cristo Church, 8901 Candelaria NE. A funeral mass will be held Friday, December 17, 2004, 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Los Alamos. Interment of cremated remains will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. CRANE -- Wayne Crane, 84, a resident of Belen, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 11, 2004. He was born in Douglas, Kansas on November 6, 1920. Wayne grew up in Albuquerque and attended Albuquerque High. He served in WWII in the Air Force, stationed in England and France, from 1942 to 1945. Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jane Crane; four daughters, Peggy Vallejos and husband, Gene, Valeria Worden, Jeanie Hart and husband, Gary and Lela Brooks; one son, John Crane and wife, Cheryl; one brother, Ben Crane and wife, Nita; along with 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Mr. Crane was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Crane; sister, Peggy Huckabay; and brother, Frank Crane. Wayne retired from the Carpenters Union #1094 in Oregon in 1983. He was a carpenter and a farmer who lived in Oregon and Idaho, then moved back to New Mexico where he lived in Belen. His hobby was repairing clocks. Wayne was a Christian who loved the Lord and loved listening to gospel hymns. He was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed. Services will be held Saturday, December 18, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. DICKIE -- James "Jay" W. Dickie, 64, of Casa Colorada, was born in Hobbs, New Mexico and took his journey home on December 11, 2004. Many knew him as "Jaybird" or "Red" and by his remarkable welding ability. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jimmy Dickie of Aztec, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sonnenberg-Dickie of Casa Colorada; and his kids, David Sonnenberg, Cheri Jaramillo, Eric Sonnenberg, Ryan Sonnenberg, and their families, including five grandchildren. The following relatives also survive him: John, AubertAnn, James, and Edie. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Belen United Pentecostal Church located at 12 Sherrod Road in the Rio Communities area.

FENNER -- Shirley McNeel Fenner, 81, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, December 14, 2004. Shirley is survived by sons, H. Allen (Chip) Fenner and John Fenner, daughter-in-law, Lisa Fenner, granddaughters, Krista McNeel and Amanda Joy and grandson, Andrew John. The only daughter of Louis and Gladys McNeel of Sutherland, Nebraska, she lived in New Mexico for the past sixty years, moving to Albuquerque in 1968 after raising her family in Hobbs. Shirley was active in politics, a tireless advocate for Albuquerque, and a world traveler. At her request there will be no public memorial service. FITCH -- Neil S. Fitch, born November 26, 1922 in Fulton, New York, died December 12, 2004 in Prescott, AZ. Cherished and beloved husband of Laura W. Fitch who was privileged to share his life for a wonderful 38 years. Dear father of Carol Walker of Los Angeles, Ron Fitch of Citrus Heights, CA, Mark Fitch of San Diego, CA, and Philip Fitch of Citrus Heights, CA. Survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Leon Fitch of Red Creek, NY, Alan Fitch of Marcellus, NY, Hollis Fitch of North Syracuse, NY and Jean Haag of Syracuse. Had numerous nieces and nephews. Dear son-in-law of Mrs. Rauni O. Winters of Glendale, WI, brother-in-law of Sally & Michael Noonan of Whitefish Bay, WI and uncle of Les May of Big Sur, CA. And, dear friend of his little Shih-Tzu companion, Max. Neil will be dearly missed by all. He loved a good joke and having fun. He particularly enjoyed butchering wood and making sawdust (as he said) and spending time traveling with his wife. He was a retiree of Wells Fargo Bank in California but followed that with two other careers; having an antique store and owning a Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream store. Neil and his wife, Laura, have been residents of Prescott for the last 5 years. They have previously lived in Las Vegas, NY, Albuquerque, NM and Tucson, AZ. Neil was most proud of being an American and loved this country very much. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater WWII and felt that it was an honor to have served. He was also very proud to be a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, his ancestors came to this country in 1636 and founded the towns of Norwich and Lebanon, CT. At Neil's request, no services were held and he was cremated. GOODNER -- Wanita M. Goodner, 74, went home to be with our Lord on December 11, 2004. She passed away peacefully in her Albuquerque home. Wanita was a member of the Netherwood Park Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry, and great-granddaughter, Nora Duran. Wanita is survived by her two sons, Michael and Jeff; three daughters, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Loretta; and two stepsons, Steve and Mark; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. We thank our family and friends for their loving support and continuous prayers during our times of need. GRIFFIN -- Jimmie V. Griffin, 72, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1996 and formerly of Farmington, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2004 after a long illness. Jimmie was born March 1, 1932, the son of Sylvester Von and Flossie Hayes Griffin in Owensville, Indiana. He was a 46 year member of Plumbers Pipefitters Local Union 412. Jimmie served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict. Was a member of Masonic Lodge #15 and was a Life member of Elks Lodge 1747 of Farmington. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; would never refuse anyone help in a time of need. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Dana; son, Craig; granddaughter, Leslee; grandson, Erik Griffin of Farmington; two brothers and four sisters; many nieces and nephews. MITCHELL -- Frances Lee Mitchell, age 98, died December 11, 2004 at her home in Hansville, WA. She was born May 27, 1906 in Seattle, WA to Amelia G. (Lee) and Frank Davison. On August 1, 1930 she married Gerald E. Mitchell in Seattle, WA. He preceded her in death in 1979. Frances was a very active homemaker. She accompanied her husband on his many assignments in various parts of the world including Australia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Alaska, and many regions of the US. In 1979 she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and in 1986 she made her home with her daughter, "Bunny" first in Bainbridge Island and later in Hansville. She was an inveterate reader who enjoyed the world of books and was continually learning about the countries and cultures that she lived in. For all of her life she found daily challenge and enjoyment in the New York Crossword puzzles. Frances is survived by her son, Gerald Mitchell of Edmonds; daughter, Bernadine Cottingham-Kleckner and her husband, Edward; daughter-in-law, Catherine Gradi; grandchildren, Kirk Mitchell, Evan Cottingham and his wife, Trina; Ian Cottingham, and Kate Cottingham. She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Barbara Ann Cox. A memorial service will be held in the spring. MOYA -- Gerard R. Moya, our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, was born November 28, 1952 and passed away Friday, December 10, 2004 at his home in Edgewood, NM. He served in the United States Army, lived in Maywood, California and worked in the Motion Picture Industry. Gerard retired to Edgewood, NM, and was an ardent collector of Beatles music and memorabilia. He will be greatly missed by his family. PARKER -- Alfred (Al) L. Parker, Ph.D., passed away on December 13, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Al was born in Oklahoma City, OK on March 9, 1935 and was raised in Ponca City, OK. Al is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy; daughter, Kathy Darwin and husband, Ben; son, Rob Parker and wife, Tammie; four beautiful grandchildren, Jamie Parker, Paige Darwin, Jason Parker and Alex Darwin; brother, James M. Parker and wife, Linda of Albuquerque; sister, Jane Irwin and husband, Stan of Greencastle, IN; and three nephews and their families. Dr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Robert A. Parker; and brother, Robert A. Parker, Jr. Al was graduated from Oklahoma State University with both a Bachelors and Masters degrees, and the Ohio State University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. He was a professor at University of New Mexico for over thirty years. He served as chairman of the Department of Economics for nine years. Giving every person a chance to get an education was one of his goals in life. He was an outstanding athlete, playing basketball during high school and at Oklahoma State University. His other passion was golf, which he enjoyed with his many friends, never wanting to just play but to be the best. Al was an avid Lobo fan having both football and basketball tickets for 40 years. His family was the most important part of his life. Not only in teaching their children and grandchildren how to live and how to achieve their goals but watching and coaching them in their many activities. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 2:00 p.m., at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE, with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. The family requests donations be made to the Alfred L. Parker, Ph.D. Scholarship Fund, University of New Mexico Foundation to support a student in Economics to continue their studies. PRUITT -- Tammy Faye Pruitt, age 41, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2004. A lifetime resident of Albuquerque's South Valley and graduated from Rio Grande High School. RISINGER -- Dorothy Risinger, 88, a resident of Sandia Park, died on Saturday, December 11, 2004. She is survived by her son, TC Risinger, II; granddaughters, Laura Gemmer and Renee Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Dillon and Colton Hall, and Tara Holley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Troxie Risinger; daughter, Melody Harvey; granddaughter, Tanya Staley; great-granddaughter, Shelly Staley; and parents, Charles Faulkner Ewing and Elizabeth Mott. Dorothy owned and operated with her husband the Hitching Post Nightclub from 1961 to 1973 on the West Side of Albuquerque. Previously she had a Texas Real Estate brokers' license and had worked in the hotel and motel business with her husband in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. ROMERO -- Elisia M. Romero went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2004 after a long illness. The family wants to thank all of her friends and family for all of the prayers and support and also all of the nurses and doctors at Pres ICU and Regional Medical ICU. She is survived by many family members who loved her very much. We will miss her. She will be cremated and no services will be held at her request.

SANCHEZ -- Hilario (Larry) Sanchez, 79, of Albuquerque, died Friday, December 10, 2004. He was born on January 17, 1925. Three daughters, all of Albuquerque, survive him; Victoria Eichenberg, Juanita Sanchez, and Judy Pholotchski as well as a son-in-law, Mike Eichenberg; and grandson, Gary Eichenberg; and many relatives and friends. Captured by the Germans in 1944, he was a proud WWII U.S. Army veteran, POW, and highly decorated soldier. An exceptional mechanic, he had over 20 years of service with Sun Motors. Upon retiring, he relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. He met and fell in love with Mable Lucero where they lived happily with a Chihuahua dog named "Lupe" (outside of Larry's company, a non-stop barker). Mable preceded Mr. Sanchez in death. After Mable's passing, Larry moved back to Albuquerque, living with his daughter, Victoria. Goodbye father, grandfather, father-in-law and honorable soldier. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church located at 811 Guaymas Place NE (near Lomas and Pennsylvania). A Mass will immediately follow. Internment at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

SEBASTIAN -- Caesar (C.R.). After 97 years of a remarkable and fulfilling life, Caesar (C.R.) Sebastian, cherished father of Ann, has joined his beloved wife, Louise, who pre-deceased him in 1993. He passed away on December 12, 2004, of age-related causes. Born December 27, 1906 in Trinidad, Colorado, Mr. Sebastian was the fourth child in a family of 13. His parents, Virginia Ciccone and Charles Sebastian immigrated from Italy in the 1890s and settled on a large farm east of Trinidad. Later, when the family moved to Raton, Caesar attended and graduated from Raton High School as Valedictorian of his class, and went on to receive a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder. While there he was a member and President of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, a member of the Colorado Marching Band and Phi Beta Kappa. While in Boulder, he was also a member of the Colorado National Guard. In 1931, he moved to Santa Fe where he worked as the Assistant State Comptroller. He met and married Louise Josephine Gross, a Missouri native who was visiting Santa Fe, in 1934, and they had one daughter, born 1937. Subsequently, Sebastian was appointed State Comptroller by then-Governor John E. Miles, beginning what was to be a long and distinguished career with the State of New Mexico in several different capacities and at the behest of Governors Miles, Dempsey, Campbell, Mabry and King, among others. He was a 63-year member of Lions Clubs International where he served as president and treasurer, as well as longtime involvements with Toastmasters Club, the National Society of Public Accountants, where he served as President, and the National Association of Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers as First Vice President. A C.P.A., Caesar established a private accounting firm that thrived in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque for many years, finally closing in 2004. His lifelong love of gardening, his many friendships, and his fiercely independent spirit sustained him to the end. Survived by daughter Ann, Santa Rosa CA; sister Helen Edwards, Raton; brothers Julius V. and Marion T. and sisters-in-law Margaret (Victor) and Cleo (Marion) all of Santa Fe; nieces Terri Sebastian, Socorro, Frieda Sebastian, Santa Fe, Beverly Pecotte (Richard), Farmington NM; Kathy Yob, Glendale CA; nephews Anthony Cafarelli (Margaret), Mesa AZ; Michael Sebastian (Sally), Bainbridge Island WA; Charles Sebastian (Linda), Newport Beach CA; James and Harry Yob, Glendale CA; Mark Edwards (Sue), Carlsbad, and numerous grand-nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2004, 11:00 am, at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will take place Saturday, December 18, 2004, 2:00 pm, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton, NM. Friends may visit Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. SPERRY -- Mildred Lydia Sperry, 94, a longtime resident of Bethesda, Maryland, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers, FL. She is survived by her son, Roger Sperry and wife, Carol; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sperry was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Sperry. She was born March 24, 1910 to Ludvig K. Lee and Betsey Marie Arnegard in Buxton, ND. She was a career federal government employee. Services will be held Friday, 3:00 p.m., at Chester T. WHITEMAN -- Terry L. Whiteman, beloved husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away suddenly at home on December 13, 2004. Terry was a resident of Rio Rancho and native New Mexican born in Albuquerque on April 28, 1952 to Frank and Geraldine Whiteman. He was currently working for Southwest Engineering at Kirtland Air Force Base. Terry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his sons. He loved singing and dancing, and was known for being a prolific handyman. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Frank Whiteman; brother, Randy Whiteman; sister, Bonnie; and his stepfather, Pete Costello. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Whiteman; mother, Geraldine Costello; his two sons, Tosh Whiteman and fiance Kyleen Kuszmaul; and Ry Whiteman and dog Farley; his former wife, Blanche Whiteman; brothers, Ron Whiteman and wife Barbara, Tim Whiteman and wife Cindy, and Kevin LaCostello; his grandchildren, Austin Tilley and Keegan Whiteman; and a host of other family members, friends, and coworkers that will deeply miss him. A memorial service for Terry will be held on Friday, December 17, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options in Rio Rancho with Pastor Robert Hall as officiant.
