James "Jay" W. Dickie, 64, of Casa Colorada, was born in Hobbs, New Mexico and took his journey home on December 11, 2004. Many knew him as "Jaybird" or "Red" and by his remarkable welding ability. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jimmy Dickie of Aztec, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sonnenberg-Dickie of Casa Colorada; and his kids, David Sonnenberg, Cheri Jaramillo, Eric Sonnenberg, Ryan Sonnenberg, and their families, including five grandchildren. The following relatives also survive him: John, AubertAnn, James, and Edie. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Belen United Pentecostal Church located at 12 Sherrod Road in the Rio Communities area.
