Dorothy Risinger, 88, a resident of Sandia Park, died on Saturday, December 11, 2004. She is survived by her son, TC Risinger, II; granddaughters, Laura Gemmer and Renee Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Dillon and Colton Hall, and Tara Holley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Troxie Risinger; daughter, Melody Harvey; granddaughter, Tanya Staley; great-granddaughter, Shelly Staley; and parents, Charles Faulkner Ewing and Elizabeth Mott. Dorothy owned and operated with her husband the Hitching Post Nightclub from 1961 to 1973 on the West Side of Albuquerque. Previously she had a Texas Real Estate brokers' license and had worked in the hotel and motel business with her husband in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Services will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to service.
