Shirley McNeel Fenner, 81, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, December 14, 2004. Shirley is survived by sons, H. Allen (Chip) Fenner and John Fenner, daughter-in-law, Lisa Fenner, granddaughters, Krista McNeel and Amanda Joy and grandson, Andrew John. The only daughter of Louis and Gladys McNeel of Sutherland, Nebraska, she lived in New Mexico for the past sixty years, moving to Albuquerque in 1968 after raising her family in Hobbs. Shirley was active in politics, a tireless advocate for Albuquerque, and a world traveler. At her request there will be no public memorial service.
