Bachicha -- Miguel D. Bachicha has moved on to be with his Lord. Miguel was born on June 25, 1958 in Albuquerque and was a high school graduate as well as a Eucharist Minister for San Ysidro Labrador. Miguel is survived by one daughter Tanya; his parents, Florencio & Rose Bachicha; brothers, David and wife, Peggy, Fernando and wife, Irene; four nieces and one nephew. Miguel was preceded in death by one son, Florencio Conrado and loved his family and will be greatly missed. Borras -- Jeanne Borras, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 8, 2001. She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Johnson and Jennifer Johnson, both of Albuquerque, and Rebekah Gatti and husband, Lawrence of South Carolina; two granddaughters, Jessica Johnson of Albuquerque and Rachel Gatti of South Carolina; and sister, Diana Pierce and husband, Owen of Portales. Mrs. Borras was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Johnson in 1979."And when she shall die, take her and cut her out in little stars, and she will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with the night."Private family services have taken place. Cords -- Dr. Carl E. "Bill" Cords, Jr., 68, died at home on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 after a long illness with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Cords; daughter, Lisa McGuire; son, John Cords and wife, Lori; grandsons, Cody J. Broyles and Shaun Thompson; sister, Dorothy Hilpert and husband, Norman; brothers, Bruce Cords and wife, Gerda and Randy Cords and wife, Bonnie; nieces, Debbie Anderson and Nancy Conwell; nephews, Erick, Kevin, Michael and James Cords; cousin, Irene Schmitz; and Goddaughter, Donna Duda and husband, George. Carl was a graduate of Phoenix Union High School, Arizona State University, and then completed his Ph.D. at the University of Washington in Microbiology. He moved to Albuquerque with his wife, Nancy, in September of 1964 where he completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of New Mexico Medical School and went on to be an Associate Professor of Microbiology there for the next 30 years until his retirement. Carl was a member of both the American Association of Virology and the American Association of Microbiology. He and his best friend, Dr. Thomas Baker, were avid golfers and University of New Mexico Lobo fans. Carl was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. The family would like to thank their special friends, Dr. Thomas Baker and wife, Georgeanna, Alice-Ann Klinger, Celia Richardson and Rande A. Broyles and his family for their devotion and help. Entwistle -- Margaret L. Entwistle, 92, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM since 1978, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2001. She was born on January 28, 1909, in Ipava, IL. She lived in Table Grove, IL until she was 18, when she moved to Peoria, IL. She and her husband, William, retired in 1972 in Bellflower, CA. She was in retail sales before retiring and she was a volunteer in Civitan in Rio Rancho, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Entwistle in 1975; son, William Joseph in 1993; a brother, Robert Collier and sisters, Aileen Keach and Christine Collier. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Bishop and husband, Floyd of Norwalk, CA; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) Entwistle of Rio Rancho, NM; grandsons, Bill of New York City, NY, and Mike and wife, Rebecca and great-grandson, Celio of Albuquerque; grandson, John and wife, Paula and great-grandchildren, Brittney, Ashton and Aaron of Rio Rancho, NM and 21 nieces and nephews. Griego -- 1940-2001. Enfred J. Griego, 61, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday June 15, 2001. Hobson -- Anderson "Andy" Hobson, 81, went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2001 after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama and raised in Okolona, Mississippi. He served in the Marine Corp in World War II in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he married Sarah Moore and moved to Albuquerque where he lived until 1993. He owned Anderson Surgical Supply. He is survived by his wife, Leona Buskirk Anderson of Okolona, MS; his daughters, Ginger Grosjean and husband, David of Albuquerque; Deedie Capps and husband, David of Thornton, CO; five granddaughters, Melissa, Natalee and April Capps and Leisha and Sheila Dudley; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Dulane Pannell. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah. Funeral Services were held in Okolona, MS. Holton -- Byron Holton, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, choose to be with God on June 15, 2001, after a long battle with lung cancer, which was caused by smoking. He was 62. Byron began his career in broadcasting in 1960 as a rock-n-roll DJ in Gallup at KYVA under the name of Jerry Jet Jackson. Byron also did play by play sports for the Farmington Scorpions, Gallup Tigers (Bengals), Baytown,Texas Ganders and sideline reporting for Lobo football. Additionally, he was a member of the Lobo Club and an avid Lobo football and basketball fan. Byron was a real estate broker and partner in Broadcast Realty. He has been a member of the Albuquerque Board of Realtors since 1971. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Claudette Ponto Holton, originally from Gallup; daughter, Jeri Uhlmansiek and husband, Michael, of Albuquerque; sons, Roger Holton and wife, Kristin, of Lake Forest, IL, and Dan Holton and wife, Laura, of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Steve, Lori, Joseph, Olivia, and Elizabeth; brothers, Don Holton, Richard Holton of Severville, TN, and Willis Holton and wife, Gayle, of Camden, AR; and sister, Carolyn Etheridge and husband, Carlton, of Severville, TN. A Prayer Service and video tribute will be conducted on Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Mary Trudell, reciting. Lopez -- Mark Dwane Lopez, 31, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, June 10, 2001. He is survived by his wife, LeiLani Lopez of the family home; son, Dakota Lopez; stepdaughter, Brittney McGeorge; mother, Gloria Lopez; father, Brijido Montoya; sisters, CeCe Murphy, Amalia Beanca Lopez, Helen Davidson and Diana Montoya; brothers, David Brian Lopez, Noah James Wheeler, J.B. Montoya and Steve Ramirez; mother-in-law, Artie Yellowhorse; sister-in-law, Desire Crabtree and husband, Jimmy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends, Georgia and Dwight Crabtree. Mr. Lopez was a Hospital Corpsman, 3rd Class Petty Officer, attached to a United State Marine Unit during Desert Storm. He has worked at Los Alamos Labs for the last three years and was currently enrolled at College of Santa Fe working on a degree in computer science. He was the most talented, kind and cherished person who always put others before himself. He was an angel and soul mate for his wife. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mager -- Doris (Dee) Mager, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. She was born July 1, 1925 in New York City to Florence and William Freiman. She is survived by Hy Mager, her husband of 53 years; daughter, Karen Mager and fiancé, Chuck Baker; son, Steve Mager and wife, Lisa; and three granddaughters, Lauren, Julianne and Meghan. Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a very special love for all animals especially her dog, Carmel. Doris was the co-founder of Dee's Cheesecake Factory with her husband and continued working there until her illness last year. Doris was a member of Congregation B'nai Israel. The family wishes to give special thanks to her nurse, Carol Ifverson, and Presbyterian Hospice, in particular Janis Mount and Rose. Mcrae -- Duncan McRae, husband of the late Mary McRae, left to join her last Friday evening, June 8, 2001. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Elizabeth; and his two adored grandchildren, Michelle and Jason. He will be sadly missed not only by Elizabeth and her children, but also by other close family and his many friends. His family and those who loved him covers many miles. Mora -- Manuel Mora died on June 15 at the age of 39. Manuel loved fighting forest fires as a hot shot in the Santa Fe Forest Service. He is survived by his father, Salome; his mother, Bessie; brothers, Freddy and Steve Mora; and his sisters, Ferminia Mora and Cathy Gonzales and husband, Joe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation for Manuel will be Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Salazar and Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW, and a Rosary will be held Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Funeral will be held out Our Lady of Guadalupe, Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary. .

Morris -- Barbara L. Morris, 61, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2001. She passed away in the loving arms of her husband, children and lifelong friend. Portillos -- Lugarda Portillos, age 92, passed away June 15, 2001 in Albuquerque. Lugarda was formerly of Springer, NM. She is survived by her sons, George Gonzales of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Portillos of Springer, NM, Albert Portillos of Albuquerque, NM, Louis Portillos of Springer, NM, Joe Portillos of Springer, NM and Gilbert Portillos of Albuquerque, NM; also by 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Punda -- Mary Punda, 90, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2001. Mary was born August 10, 1910 the daughter of Theodore and Pauline Sloviak Zukowska in Fall River, Massachusetts. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Mary came to New Mexico from New York. Turpen -- Donald C. Turpen passed on suddenly on May 29, 2001 while recovering from recent surgery. Mr. Turpen practiced law in Albuquerque for many years prior to moving to Silver City not long ago. He also practiced law in Saudi Arabia, Greece, Mexico, Venezuela, and Chile earlier in his career. He was a Veteran of the Air Force, a Sigma Chi, and held a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from the University of Kentucky, Masters in History from UNM, and Jurist Doctor from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. He worked for Senator Clinton P. Anderson while attending law school. Mr. Turpen was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Noah C. Turpen, longtime APS administrator; and his mother, Elizabeth Turpen, a retired music teacher. Mr. Turpen was buried in the Ft. Bayard Military Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. His loving wife, Bonnie and the rest of the family will truly miss him.

Zamora -- Teresa Gurule Zamora, 98, a resident of Peralta, peacefully joined our Lord on Friday, June 15, 2001. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Teresa was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary National Unit of Albuquerque. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Juan B. Gurule in 1967; her second husband, Pablo Zamora in 1996; her grandson, Joseph Aragon in 1969; two sisters, Sucena Michaelbach and Maria Apodaca; one brother, Ramon Garcia; and one son-in-law, Pete E. Torres. She is survived by her four loving children, Eligia Torres of Belen, Joe G. Gurule and his wife, Bertha, Luge G. Aragon and her husband Joe W., all of Peralta, Vangie Molina and her husband, Herminio P. of Jarales; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren; six sisters, Isabel Stubblefield of Los Lunas, Libby Padilla, Senaida Chavez, Celia Gurule, and Ofelia Perea, all of Albuquerque, and Gladys Baca and her husband, Jake of Peralta.
