Obituary for Zamora

Teresa Gurule Zamora, 98, a resident of Peralta, peacefully joined our Lord on Friday, June 15, 2001. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Teresa was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary National Unit of Albuquerque. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Juan B. Gurule in 1967; her second husband, Pablo Zamora in 1996; her grandson, Joseph Aragon in 1969; two sisters, Sucena Michaelbach and Maria Apodaca; one brother, Ramon Garcia; and one son-in-law, Pete E. Torres. She is survived by her four loving children, Eligia Torres of Belen, Joe G. Gurule and his wife, Bertha, Luge G. Aragon and her husband Joe W., all of Peralta, Vangie Molina and her husband, Herminio P. of Jarales; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren; six sisters, Isabel Stubblefield of Los Lunas, Libby Padilla, Senaida Chavez, Celia Gurule, and Ofelia Perea, all of Albuquerque, and Gladys Baca and her husband, Jake of Peralta. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be held at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2001 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2001 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta with Interment following at the Valencia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pete T. Torres, Alfred Padilla, Greg Gurule, Jose Gil Baires, Rudy and Chuck Aragon, and Herminio and Moises Molina. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM in charge of arrangements.
