Anderson -- Bill H. Anderson, 79, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord August 21, 2000. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Margaret Anderson; daughters, Jeaninne Anderson of Washington, and Sandy Latter and husband, Jerry of Belen; sons, Kelder Anderson and wife, Ada of Salem, OR, Danny Anderson and wife, Sharron of Eveningshade, AR, Russell Anderson of Los Lunas, Henry Anderson and wife, Doris of Belen; step-son, Frank T. Johnson of Tijeras, NM; step-daughters, Margaret Louis Murphy and husband, Flap of Bloomfield, NM, Dorothy Richard Johnson of Albuquerque; sister, Mildred Lermaseaux and family of Bernalillo; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Mark Anderson. Bill was a member of the Elks Club, Lions Club, and a lifelong member of VFW, Post 401. He is a WWII Veteran, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and was a Master Carpenter. He was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church. Aragon -- Alfia Aragon, age 86, died in Albuquerque on August 21, 2000. She was born in Fort Sumner, NM and lived there for 42 years before moving to Albuquerque. Mrs. Aragon was a member of Church of the Risen Savior and Sacred Heart League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fermin Aragon in 1968; and a son, Manuel Aragon in 1977. She is survived by two daughters, Marti Renaud of Albuquerque, NM and Heidi Morrisett of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are Arty J. Nichols, Yvette Nichols-Moran and Samantha Teachout, all of the home; a sister, Carmen Garcia; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited this evening, 7:00 p.m., at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 9:30 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Fr. Richard Olona as Celebrant. Berry -- Mary S. Berry, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, August 18, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Banos and husband, George of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Catherine Vincent and husband, Vernon of Newport Beach, CA, Stephen Banos of Albuquerque, Patricia Cruz and husband, Robert of Anaheim, CA; great-grandchildren, Sean and Nicole Vincent, Stephen Banos Jr., Christina and Christian Cruz. During World War II, Mary worked as a dental assistant at the Veterans Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Parish, and was an active member and past president of the Golden Agers. Memorial Rosary pending. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 25, 2000, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, 2532 Vermont NE 87110. Chavez -- Samuel Chavez Sr., 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2000. Mr. Chavez was born in San Marcial, NM; he was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad, where he retired after 31 years. Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife of 68 years, Conception (Connie) Chavez; one son, Samuel Chavez Jr. and wife, Frances; four daughters, Selfita McCollum and husband, Jack of Las Vegas, NV, Albita Bruno of Gardena, CA, Sally Sanchez, and Lorraine Chavez, both of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Final viewing will be this morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., in the mortuary chapel. Mass of Christian burial will also be celebrated this morning, 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Fr. James Moore as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Conklin -- William P. Conklin, 37, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, August 20, 2000. Mr. Conklin worked for United Parcel Service as a driver for 14 years. He had begun a new career in computer technology at Philips, and was pursuing a degree in Electronic Engineering at T.V.I. Mr. Conklin is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Matthew; father, Ben Conklin; mother, Wanda Oliver; siblings, Debbie Oliver, Karen Newbolt, Rick Conklin and Karen Brown; step-parents, Joyce Conklin and Vern Oliver; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all. Memorial services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Mick Erickson officiating.

Cooper -- Beatriz C. Cooper, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday August 14, 2000 after a longtime illness. She will be missed by her sister, Priscilla Berry; and all her family and friends. Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2000 at the First Unitarian Church, located at 3701 Carlisle NE, in Albuquerque. Garcia -- Tom Garcia, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 21, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Nestorita Garcia; a brother, Ricardo Garcia; and a sister, Vangie Paco. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Edwina G. Garcia; a son, Tom G. Garcia and wife, Loretta; and a daughter, Betty Ann Garcia. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Felicia Barros and husband, Robert, J.T. Garcia, Renee Garcia, and Edwina Nichole Garcia; one great-grandson, Justin Barros; one sister, Nora Sanchez. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Gonzales -- Raymond Gonzales, a resident of Corrales, passed away after a short Illness surrounded by his loving wife Bernadine and family on Aug. 17, 2000. Born in Gamerco, NM on September 5, 1932. He was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas; his parents, Jose and Brijida Gonzales; a sister, Mary Romero; a brother, Tony Franco. Raymond is survived by his wife, Bernadine Gonzales; step-sons, Mark and wife, Tina, Matthew, Gary Chavez, all of Albuquerque, John and wife, Marcia Chavez of Corrales; step-daughters, Bernadette and Mark Lingford of Albuquerque, Madeline and husband, Herman Duran of Rio Rancho; his sons, Edward, David and wife, Genevieve, Danny and wife, Norma Gonzales of Gallup; one daughter, Patricia and husband, Nashi of Florida; ten grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Bernadine Chavez. He is also survived by step-sons, Mickael and Robert Sekiya and step-daughters, Rachel Mondragon and Charlene Sekaya. He is also survived by his sisters, Carmen Franco, Jessie Cota, both of California, Aurora Espinosa, Ermina Santiago, Loretta Torres, all of Gallup, Lupe Mernell and husband, Bill of Arizona; brothers, Pete Franco of Utah, Ruben Gonzales of Gallup. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Robert and wife, Della, Patricio and wife, Susan, David and wife, Viola Chavez, and Roland Soto; sisters-in-law, Precilla Torres, and Bessie Chavez, all of Albuquerque, also many, many nieces, nephews and friends. Raymond retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs after 30 years, also from the City of Albuquerque, Public Works Division. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Iowa, and was a member of the American Legion, Post 69 in Alameda. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon, 1:00 p.m., at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Gallup. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup, with a reception following at the church hall. Honorary pallbearers will be his step-sons, Mark, Matthew, Gary and John Chavez, also step-sons, Michael and Robert Sekiya and grandsons, Rodney and David Chavez. Halliburton -- Leo (DEAN) Halliburton, 70, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2000. He was born in Dexter, New Mexico and spent most of his youth and young adult life in Hobbs, New Mexico. He lived with his wife and children in the Gallup and Thoreau area before moving and retiring from the Enron Corporation (Transwestern Pipeline) in Belen. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane and five children, Deana Bates of Abilene, TX, Richard and Roselyn Halliburton of Hobbs, NM, Gary and Cheryl Halliburton of Aztec, NM, Robert and Michelle Stearns of Gallup, NM, and Stephanie and Edward Baca of Albuquerque. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren, Carey Boozer and Jennifer Bontke, Brian, Valerie and Suzanne Halliburton, Aaron Halliburton, Wade and Clay Stearns. Johnson -- Billy Johnson, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, August 19, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Theola of the family home; four sons, Robert Andrew Johnson, Nicholas Kimber Johnson, James Michael Johnson, William Blakely Johnson and wife, Lynette, all of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Sam, Brian, Carolyn, Branden, Calan, Patrick, Denton and Chad; four great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Hutchins and husband, Burnie of Lubbock, TX; and niece, Geri Hutchins of Lubbock, TX. Mr. Johnson was born August 10, 1919 in Commerce, TX. He married Theola Bertram in January, 1942. He was a veteran of WWII, where he served as a Captain in the US Army. He then went to Texas Tech, where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. He started his career with Southwestern Public Service; then moved to Albuquerque in 1957. Here, he worked at the Sandia National Laboratory until his retirement in 1988. After retirement, Mr. Johnson was active in local community affairs and politics. Services will be held Thursday, August 24, 2000, 10:30 am, at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE., with Pastor Russell Lee officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Konnick -- Joseph P. Konnick, 34, of Miami Beach, Florida, died accidentally on August 13, 2000. He is survived by his life partner, Michael E. Powell -- Verne Robert Powell, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, passed away August 1, 2000. He is survived by his sons, Steven Ross Powell of St. Petersburg, FL and Samuel L. Powell of Center Reach, NY; and five grandchildren; his aunt, Darrelene McGaughey and uncle, Darrel Boggs, who reside in Grand Junction, CO. Mr. Powell was born July 1, 1927 in Broken Bow, Nebraska. His parents were Opal Boggs Powell and Verne Powell. Mr. Powell was a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a degree in Fine Arts. Following his graduation, he studied at the University of New Mexico City and the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, Germany. He was a fine artist and was self-employed. He was an Air Force Veteran. Robison -- Helen Kay Robison passed away August 21, 2000 at her home with her husband and daughter at her side. Helen is survived by Ken, her husband of 64 years; and her daughter, Marci and husband, Larry Henning; sisters-in-law, Neva Heiselman and husband, Therll and Mary Meier and husband, John. She will be remembered as Grandmother to several foreign exchange students, Nanda, Brazil; Carrie, Italy; Andie Conny, Sari, Germany; Cathy, Switzerland; and Katarina, Sweden. She will be missed by longtime special friends, Gladys Black Smart, Leona Kohlhasse, Vivian Black and Margaret Blackmon. Helen was a graduate of Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Upon graduation from UNM, Helen taught business courses in El Rito, NM, and in later years, taught evening classes at Browning Business College. Helen was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Friendly Bible Class since 1952 and was involved with many church activities through the years. Other activities included 4-H Leader and Extension Club, as well as several other organizations. The family would like to thank Abundant Home Care and their caregivers, including Roland, Nina, Lucy, Yolanda, Molly, Marcella, and Alex, as well as the others, for their wonderful care given to Helen over the past three years and the continued support of Kathy Finley. A special thanks to The Grand Court for their compassion, consideration and understanding during this trying time. Ryals -- Winifred Ryals, 97, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 18 years, coming from Los Alamos, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2000. Winifred was born November 19, 1902, the daughter of Henry and Rosa Eiserman Lauramore in Glen St. Mary, Florida. She had been a secretary for the railroad for 20 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and five brothers and sisters. Winifred is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Staake of Rio Rancho; two grandchildren, Bruce Staake of Albuquerque and Patricia Ulsh of Silver City, NM; five great-grandchildren, Kristin Cashman of Albuquerque, Jennifer Luck of Austin, TX, Judy McCreadie of Ft. Collins, CO, Benjamin Warren of Littlefield, TX, and Mark Staake of Albuquerque; and five great-great-grandchildren. The service for Winifred will be on Thursday, August 24, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, with Pastor Si Budagher officiating. Shaw -- June Pauline Shaw passed away in her sleep on August 17, 2000, following a short illness. June was born in Sheffield, England on January 10, 1927. She left England as a war bride aboard the Queen Mary and made her life in New Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Raymer F. Shaw, a retired school principal. Smith -- Virginia"Mina" Smith, age 79, born February 28, 1921, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died August 19, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fermin Smith; and a son, Jesus Smith. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Arlene Joyce McCann and husband, Jerry; her brother, Romulo Barboa and wife, Maria; her seven grandchildren, Jonathan McCann, Tanya McCann, Jerome McCann Jr., Valentino Lopez, Norbert Smith, Jason Smith, and Matthew Smith; her seven great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Jesse Chavez and husband, Anthony; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 10:00 a.m., at the San Augustine Catholic Church, Isleta, NM. Stewart -- Alfred (Al) M. Stewart, a resident of Albuquerque since 1942, passed away suddenly of an abdominal aneurism on August 19, 2000 in Elk City, OK. Al was born in San Angelo, TX on November 24, 1933. He was a machinist by trade and worked for American Car Foundry (ACF). He was a pioneer in the automotive wrecking and towing business. Al was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Joy Stewart; and daughter, Rita Griego. He is survived by his two sons, Steven Stewart and wife, Debbie, Delbert Stewart and wife, Gail; daughter, Beverly Stewart; five grandchildren, Bryan and Krystal Stewart, Doren, Aubrey and Cheyenne Griego; and son-in-law, David Griego. Also three four-legged grandkids, Peaches, Lucky and Rascal Stewart; two brothers, Foster Atkins and Joe Stewart; and sister, Betty O'Bryan, all of San Angelo, TX. Al will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2000, 4:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8904 Menaul NE, Albuquerque, NM, with Mike Holt officiating. Tanner -- Clifton Tanner, dedicated husband and father, passed away on August 18, 2000, surrounded by his children. Mr. Tanner was born November 28, 1917 in Johnsonville, South Carolina. He is survived by sons, Clifton B. Tanner and wife, Duina, Albuquerque, Thomas Tanner and wife, Diana, Albuquerque, Mark Tanner and wife, Mandana, Los Angeles, CA; daughters, Loretta Sandoval and husband, Edward, Albuquerque, Virginia Castillo and husband, Tony, Los Alamos, Eileen Hovsepian and husband, Joseph, Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Danette Tanner, Tanya Griego and husband, Roman, Paul Tanner, Christina Sandoval, Chessa Castillo, Jacob Castillo, Benjamin Castillo, Adam Castillo, Aaron Tanner, Amity Tanner, Marcel Hovsepian, Andre Hovsepian, Dominic Hovsepian, Cameron Hovsepian; great-grandchildren, Alec Griego and Carley Griego; brothers, Buster and Cecil; and sister, Liza Cooke, all of South Carolina; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally A. Tanner. Mr. Tanner was a Veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 412. He had been a member of Queen of Heaven Church since 1953. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2000, at Queen of Heaven Church, Father Johnny Lee officiating. Trujillo -- Ysidro Trujillo, 37, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2000. Ysidro was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Trujillo. He is survived by his mother, Martha Trujillo; and a daughter, Leeann Trujillo. Also surviving are four sisters, Rosemary Garcia and husband, Joe, Dolores Trujillo, Darlene Trujillo, and Berna Trujillo; two brothers, Martin Trujillo and Patrick Trujillo; and several nieces and nephews. Walsh -- Lee"Moses" Walsh, age 61, a resident of Albuquerque for over 30 years, died Monday, August 21, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Estella Walsh of Albuquerque; son, Tim Walsh of Albuquerque, parents-in-law, Johnnie and Martha Jaramillo of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, James Jaramillo and wife, Terry of Los Lunas; sister-in-law, Barbara Jaramillo and friend, Steve Martinez of Rio Rancho; niece, Nicole; aunt, Shirley Johnson; and numerous friends. Lee was a member of the American Mountain Men (AMM), and he was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). Cremation has taken place. Williams -- Jan Williams, 67, born April 10, 1933 in Albuquerque to Homer D. and Beatrice Herrick Cox Bray, passed away on August 21, 2000 in Dallas. She attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Jan was a member of University Park United Methodist Church where she served as family night coordinator for several years and was a member of the altar guild. She was also an active member in the Wedding Ring Class. Jan was a devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Norman Bray. Jan is survived by her husband of 47 years, James A. Williams of Dallas; her children, Laura Kaufman and husband, Michael of Dallas, Victoria Williams of Albuquerque, and Diana Williams of Jonesboro, AR; her brother, Charles Bray of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2000, at University Park United Methodist Church, 4024 Caruth, in Dallas. Private interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be the Wedding Ring Class of University Park United Methodist Church.
