Tom Garcia, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 21, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Nestorita Garcia; a brother, Ricardo Garcia; and a sister, Vangie Paco. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Edwina G. Garcia; a son, Tom G. Garcia and wife, Loretta; and a daughter, Betty Ann Garcia. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Felicia Barros and husband, Robert, J.T. Garcia, Renee Garcia, and Edwina Nichole Garcia; one great-grandson, Justin Barros; one sister, Nora Sanchez. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit this afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m., also at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, Gary Santillanes C.F.S.P.
