Obituary for Aragon

Alfia Aragon, age 86, died in Albuquerque on August 21, 2000. She was born in Fort Sumner, NM and lived there for 42 years before moving to Albuquerque. Mrs. Aragon was a member of Church of the Risen Savior and Sacred Heart League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fermin Aragon in 1968; and a son, Manuel Aragon in 1977. She is survived by two daughters, Marti Renaud of Albuquerque, NM and Heidi Morrisett of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are Arty J. Nichols, Yvette Nichols-Moran and Samantha Teachout, all of the home; a sister, Carmen Garcia; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited this evening, 7:00 p.m., at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 9:30 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Fr. Richard Olona as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Harrison, Roger Rizkalla, Randy Moran, Harold Garcia, Jake Gallegos and Rocky Gallegos.
