Jan Williams, 67, born April 10, 1933 in Albuquerque to Homer D. and Beatrice Herrick Cox Bray, passed away on August 21, 2000 in Dallas. She attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Jan was a member of University Park United Methodist Church where she served as family night coordinator for several years and was a member of the altar guild. She was also an active member in the Wedding Ring Class. Jan was a devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Norman Bray. Jan is survived by her husband of 47 years, James A. Williams of Dallas; her children, Laura Kaufman and husband, Michael of Dallas, Victoria Williams of Albuquerque, and Diana Williams of Jonesboro, AR; her brother, Charles Bray of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2000, at University Park United Methodist Church, 4024 Caruth, in Dallas. Private interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be the Wedding Ring Class of University Park United Methodist Church.
