She is survived by daughter, Norma Almetta Sams Shiverdecker of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Connie Blair, Gary Shiverdecker and Pamela Rhiger; great-grandchildren, Kathleen Spencer Blair, Karen Blair, Jessica Lynn Rhiger, and John Rhiger. Aragon -- Erlinda M. Aragon, age 70, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, April 16, 1999. She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Aragon, Andrew Aragon, Anthony Aragon and wife, Loretta, all of Albuquerque; one granddaughter, Michelle Aragon; one sister, Emma Alderete of Albuquerque; one brother, Joe Mirabal and wife, Lena of Albuquerque. She is also survived by two aunts; six nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Aurelia Mirabal. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 18, 1999, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Baca -- Arestio G. Baca, 76, passed away Friday at his residence. Mr. Baca is survived by his loving Jennie of 55 years; two sons, Leroy Anthony Baca, Ronald Baca, both of Albuquerque; four daughters, Clara Barela and husband, Orlando of Indianapolis, Orfela Martinez, Virginia Lujan, both of Albuquerque, Loretta Tovar and husband, Lorenzo of Bloomington, AZ; three brothers, Andy Baca of Albuquerque, Fred G. Brodie -- Christiana"Chrissy" Stage Brodie, 88, died peacefully on April 14, 1999 after a brief illness. Born in Gateshead, England, she lived in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Florida, California, and Idaho before moving to Albuquerque in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer in 1984; and her brother, Colling in 1996. She is survived by her daughters, Judith Liddell of Albuquerque and Chris Burk and her husband, Bill, also of Albuquerque; and five grandchildren, John Farrar III of Encino, CA, Breanne and Jay Liddell and Elizabeth and Caroline Burk, all of Albuquerque. She was an accomplished musician, teaching accordion and leading her own accordion band in Santa Monica, California in the 1930s. A longtime Presbyterian, she and her husband founded the Mariners Group in 1941 and were their first Skippers at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Monica, CA. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, where she was a strong supporter of the Music Program. A memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria NE on Sunday, April 18, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brodie Music Endowment, Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Chavez -- Laura Manuelita Chavez, 22, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, died Friday, April 16, 1999. She is survived by her newborn son, Darryus Lawrence Chavez of Albuquerque; parents, Barry and Leonore Garcia; sister, Veronica Garcia; brothers, Jerome Garcia and James Garcia, all of Albuquerque; great-grandfather, Guadalupe Garcia of Laguna Pueblo; grandmother, Lillian Chavez of Isleta Pueblo; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lawrence M. Chavez. Laura worked at Albuquerque Manor Nursing Home at a C.N.A. She was a member of Cochiti Pueblo. Coch -- Paul W. Coch, 74, passed away Saturday, April 17, 1999 after an extended battle with COPD. He was born in Claridge, PA on May 7, 1924. Mr. Coch served in the US Army from 1942 to 1963 and was employed in F&A at KAFB from 1963 to 1981. He was a member of Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Mr. Coch is survived by his wife, Emma Mae; three daughters, Shellie Brandon, Paula Coch, and Julia Holloman and husband, Roger; seven grandchildren, Tabitha, Jared and Lacee Brandon, Lindsay, Garrett, and Paul Andrew Holloman, and John William Coch. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ginger. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Wayne Sharp and George Carman officiating. Custer -- George E. Custer, a highly respected member of the Albuquerque community, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 12, 1999, at the age of 91. George was born in Nebraska City, NE on December 30, 1907, the son of Ellis and Marie Pfann Custer. After attending high school in Nebraska City, he moved to Texas, where he was the assistant manager of Winburn Airfield, now Love Field and studied law at Jefferson University. In 1933, he moved to New Mexico, ultimately taking a position with the New Mexico State Employment Security Commission (NMESC) in Las Vegas. George was instrumental in relocating Basque sheep herders from Spain to New Mexico for the Northern New Mexico sheep industry, in the development of the Tres Ritas ski area (now Sipapu), and in the building of the original boat house at Storrie Lake. In 1939, he married his childhood sweetheart from Nebraska City, Marjorie Musser Duff, in Taos. In early 1940, he accepted a position with the NMESC in Albuquerque and became Assistant State Director, a position he held until his retirement. During WWII, he served in the US Army, stationed at Ft. George E. Mead in Maryland. George was an amateur boxer in his youth and an avid golfer, sports fan and outdoors man throughout his life. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He gave of himself by being involved with and by providing leadership to many organizations. He was a member of St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church and St. Mary's Episcopal Church (Nebraska City). Other organizations he was affiliated with were the Masonic Lodge Temple #6, Scottish Rite and Ballut Abyad Temple of Albuquerque, BPOE, Kiwanis, founder and president of the Albuquerque Exchange Club, Toastmasters, Knife and Fork Club, 20-30 Club, Lobo Club, Western Senior Amateur Golf Association (President and Director), West Texas/New Mexico Golf Association, New Mexico Senior Golf Association, American Legion in Jemez Springs, Angel Fire Sportsman and Conservation Club, Albuquerque Country Club (Director), Four Hills Country Club (an original founder and board member), Angel Fire Country Club and Albuquerque Petroleum Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie; his sons, Robert and Phillip, their wives, Mollie and Krys; three adoring granddaughters, Sasha, Erin and Nicole; his sister, Dorothy Chaney of Falls City, NE; and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dedicated caregivers, Pramod Paudel and Tsering Lhamo. A private funeral service was held shortly following his death. An open house to celebrate his life for friends and family will be held on Sunday, April 18, 1999, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the home of Robert Custer. Huddleston -- Gale E. Huddleston, age 65, passed away on April 14, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Sally Huddleston; children, Prescilla and husband, John Taylor, James and wife, Carol, Tommy and wife, Jana, and Billy; 12 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Falconerez Rogers; three sisters, Emma Lou, Betty, and Carolyn; two brothers, Gordon and wife, Khue, and Bob. Keene -- Mrs. W.B. Keene (Tiny) died April 10, 1999 in El Paso, Texas, where she had lived for the past six months. Before moving to El Paso, she had been a resident of Albuquerque for the past 30 years. She leaves behind a family of friends in Albuquerque who feel a great loss in her passing. We are the richer for having her in our lives. Tiny loved life and lived it to the fullest and she leaves us with wonderful memories. Tiny requested a private service and her wishes have been honored.

Kirchgessner -- Lorene S. (Kay) Kirchgessner, born October 29, 1910 in Indiana, died at an Albuquerque nursing home on April 12, 1999, after ten years of invalidism. Her spirit is now with the Lord. Alleluia. She taught music and art in and around Evansville, Indiana for more than 40 years and later moved to Albuquerque in 1986. She was a loving mother and an accomplished genealogist. She always loved her church and was a member of St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church in Albuquerque. Her husband, James F. Kirchgessner, died in 1945; and her son, James Clay Kirchgessner, in 1997. She is survived by her son, Thomas L. Kirchgessner; grandchildren, Thomas W. and David L. Kirchgessner and Laura Proctor; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Kirchgessner; and two great-grandchildren, all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brian and Jim Kirchgessner; two great-grandchildren; and beloved cousin, Leah McMasters, all of Evansville, IN. Also surviving her, at various locations, are her brother's sons, Bill, Phil and Ralph Spradley. Lackey -- Ina Ruth Hillis Lackey, 90, died Wednesday, March 31. She was a resident of Manzano Del Sol Good Samaritan Village. The youngest of three daughters, she was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma Territory, on March 18, 1909, to William Mark and Electra Richardson Hillis, who were missionaries and teachers. Ruth spent her early years in Oklahoma and Arkansas. After graduating with high honors from high school in Oklahoma, she earned her BA degree from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky and her MA from Scarrit College in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1926, Ruth was posted to Brazil as a Methodist Missionary, a position she held until she joined the World YWCA in 1946. She served with the YWCA in Brazil until 1958. Returning to the United States, she then served as Executive Director of YWCAs in Corpus Christi, Texas, 1959-1964, Albuquerque, 1968-1971, and Racine, Wisconsin, 1971-1975. During her tenure as Executive Director of the Albuquerque YWCA, New Futures School was established, The YWCA Blue Triangle Camp in Tijeras Canyon was renovated and the program developed. The Lodge at the camp is named"Hillis Lodge" in recognition of her efforts. The YWCA World Fellowship Day became a major event in Albuquerque and resulted in the publication of the"Albuquerque YWCA World Fellowship Cookbook". Ruth returned to Brazil again in 1979-1980. She had many friends and admirers in Brazil for the more than 30 yeas of service there and corresponded with them in Portuguese until she became ill. Ruth chose Albuquerque as her home base when she retired in 1975 and always returned here. She was married to E. Dent Lackey, who served 12 years as the Mayor of Niagra Falls, NY. He preceded her in death. Again returning to Albuquerque, she served as the office manager for the law firm of Threet and King in 1981. Ruth also spent many hours volunteering at St. Martin's Hospitality Center, The Storehouse, and with the Council of Churches Intergenerational Program. She devoted many hours to helping frail seniors manage their affairs and sewing bibs for the children at Casa Angelica. Ruth had a great love and compassion for the troubled and those in need, especially women and girls, and spent her life in service to them. Ruth was a member of the Manzano Del Sol Singers, the Altrusa Club, and The Cathedral Church of St. John. She is survived by her nieces, Zee Allison of Illinois, Helen Semands of Florida, Linda Sotis of New York; and nephews, Joe and Billy Davis of NC and Linc Lackey of Florida; many great-nieces and nephews; and her friends, Martin and Laura Threet and family of Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Manzano Del Sol, 5201 Roma NE 87108; The Storehouse, 106 Broadway SE 87102; or St. Martin's Hospitality Center, 1201 3rd, 87102, all in Albuquerque. Lovato -- Evangelina Lovato, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away April 16, 1999 suddenly in a local hospital. She is survived by her loving husband, Adan Lovato of the family home; one son, Brian Lovato and Maida Trujillo; grandchildren, Adam Lovato, Brandon Lovato, Josh Trujillo, and Jerome Trujillo; two brothers, Pete Garcia and Herman Garcia; sisters, Pricilla, Julia, Gloria and Joann. Also surviving is her step-mother, Mary Garcia; and her special niece, Geraldine Maurino. She was preceded in death by her father, Esiquiel Garcia Sr.; and a brother, Esiquiel Garcia Jr. We love you and shall miss you. Moffat -- William T. Moffat (Bill), 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Thursday, April 15, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Jean E. Moffat of Albuquerque; son, Tom Moffat of Port Townsend, WA; grandchildren, Jennifer Mirkazemi, Fiona Moffat, Steven Moffat, Ashley E. Viney and Julie Mistretta; step-son, John F. Viney of Albuquerque; and step-daughter, Anne E. Broyles of Albuquerque. Mr. Moffat retired in 1975 from Sandia National Laboratories after 30 years of employment. Moore -- Ivan M. Moore, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died April 15, 1999 of heart failure. Ivan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Borghild (Borgie) Moore; his daughter, Barbara Hand and husband, Ken of Phoenix, AZ; sons, William Moore and wife, Bobbie of Dallas, TX, Michael Moore and wife, Ann of Albuquerque, Douglas Moore and wife, Terrie of Albuquerque, and David Moore of Artesia, CA. Ivan is also survived by brother, Forest Moore of St. Paul, MN; and sisters, Faye Lindaman and husband, Ivan of Applington, IA, Byrdena Schuneman and husband, Ben of Bradford, IL, Fran Cummings and husband, Bob of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Kari and Kristin E. Moore, Katie and Kristin A. Moore, Tim and Peter Moore, and Kimberly Hand. Ivan was born in 1913 in Wadena, Iowa and moved to Albuquerque in 1946 while in the Army. In 1948, he joined Sandia Corporation where he worked until his retirement in 1978. Ivan was active in scouting and loved to garden, raising award winning dahlias. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him and will be sorely missed. Sanchez -- Margaret L. Sanchez, 87, died peacefully at home April 15, 1999. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Lovato and mother, Josefita Padilla; two daughters, Adela Sanchez and Connie Sanchez; two brothers, Albelito and Julian Lovato. She is survived by her son, Robert B. Sanchez and wife, Gloria Sanchez; two daughters, Josie Villalobos and Dorothy Padilla; two sisters, Christina and Emma; two brothers, Dan Lovato and wife, Fabbie and Pete Lovato and wife, Pepe of California; many loving grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Services to be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 18, 1999. Mass at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, 1999. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Mc Cauley, Bob Sanchez, Jeff Sanchez, Gary Smith, Pete Lovato and Joe Lovato. Scianimanico -- Clara M. Scianimanico, 77, died Friday, April 16, 1999. Clara was born in Chicago and moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1977. She is survived by her sons, Andrew and wife, Robyn of Albuquerque, and Rafael and wife, Cynthia of San Diego; grandchildren, Reece of Albuquerque and Lorrenzo and Nicole, both of San Diego. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicola Scianimanico in 1981. Clara was extremely dedicated to preserving the dignity of women who had mastectomy surgery by providing post-mastectomy apparel from 1985 through 1999. She was also a volunteer with the Office of Senior Affairs and the American Cancer Society. The family will hold a private service.

Shelden -- Alvah Elijah Shelden, 86, died Friday, April 16, 1999 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his beloved second wife, Winifred Clayton Shelden, who was a tender, constant, and loving presence in his later years; sons, Thomas Alvah Shelden and wife, Sidney of Denver, CO and Dan Floyd Shelden and wife, Katherine (Kitty) of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Robert Scott Shelden of Denver, CO, Maura Elizabeth Shelden of Cerrillos, NM, Cara Marie (Shelden) Witkay and husband, Doug of Aurora, CO, and Amanda Danielle Shelden of Seattle, WA; sister, Peggy Miller and husband, Norm of Bend, OR; and friend and sister-in-law, Kathryn Hobbs of Albuquerque. Mr. Shelden was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Marie (Hill) Shelden in 1989; son, John Delbert Shelden; brothers, Chet Jr. and Tom Shelden; and sisters, Francis Anderson and Mary Torrence. Mr. Shelden graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, Class of 1931. He returned to El Dorado and married Grace Marie (Hill) Shelden in 1935. In 1940, he accepted a position with the Civil Service in Baltimore, MD with stops in Chicago and Denver. After moving the Shelden family to Albuquerque in 1943 with young son, Tom, the family grew to include sons, John, born October 19, 1943 and Dan, born July 28, 1945. Mr. Shelden was District Manager for the Railroad Retirement Board, retiring in 1972 after 32 years of government service. Additionally, Mr. Shelden played the trombone with the Albuquerque Symphony and in many big dance bands at venues now long gone such as the La Loma Ballroom, The Alvarado, and The Franciscan. Mr. Shelden's love and talent to music is just part of the great legacy that he leaves behind for his loved ones. It was his hard work for, and dedication to his family, that we treasure most. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 19, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Tom, Dan, and Robert Shelden, Sim Cook, Bill Barry, Tom Cour, and Sherm Rabideau. Stevens -- Betty Stevens peacefully passed into the arms of the Lord at home on April 15,1999, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born April 5, 1916 in Greeley, Colorado, the youngest of six children of Sarah Frances and William Carson Gilbert. She graduated from Stephens College, then continued her education at the University of Illinois, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1938. She married her high school sweetheart, Don Stevens, in Greeley, Colorado on October 2, 1938. During the early years of her marriage, they resided in Denver, Colorado; Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; and Austin, Texas. In 1948, when Don left his teaching position at the University of Texas, they moved to Albuquerque, where Don joined in partnership with Gordon Ferguson in the architectural firm later to become Ferguson, Stevens, Mallory and Pearl. As a devoted mother, Betty spent countless years as a Scout leader, roommother, and in PTA. She served on the boards of AAUW, Visiting Nurses and Community Concert, and was active in Civic Symphony and Community Chest. She also held many offices and enjoyed special friendships through PEO, Collectors and Old Glass Clubs. She was a member of St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church, where she served faithfully on the altar guild and as wedding coordinator for many years....taking great pride in the beautiful church designed by her husband. Betty was the most loving, devoted, thoughtful, kind and generous wife, mother, grandmother and friends. An inspiration to all in her valiant fight against pain and illness, she will always be remembered and greatly missed by all whose lives she touched and enriched. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Don, whose"privilege it was" to unselfishly and tenderly care for her during her lengthy health problems; by their five children, Nancy Comprelli and husband, Frank of Morage, CA, Mary Gadeken and husband, Arlan of Kennewick, WA, Phil Stevens and wife, Lynda of Albuquerque, Gail Turner and husband, Harry of Oak Harbor, WA, and Mark Stevens of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Karen Snook and husband, David, Cathy and Cindy Comprelli, Cheryl Cuillier and husband, David, Lisa Gadeken, Lynne Evans and husband, Shane, Tracy, Shelley and Stephanie Turner, Jennifer Sanford and husband, Jeff; and step-grandchildren, Jamie and Greg Stevens; great-grandchildren, Paul and Lauren Cuillier, Evan Sanford; and step-granddaughter, Alexa Stevens; brother, Bill Gilbert and wife, Marion; sister, Virginia Saale; in-laws, Rod and Nan Stevens, Becky Gilbert and Fran Gilbert; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church (431 Richmond NE, Albuquerque) on Saturday, April 24, at 2:00 p.m. Internment arrangements made by Sunrise Society. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home (5700 Winter Haven NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120)...for which a special fund has been created in Betty's honor, for the purpose of providing cultural enrichment for the children. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation and thanks to the many special friends, neighbors, and Rev. Jud Wagg who provided encouragement, prayers, and countless acts of kindness, and for the tender loving care and support provided by Lovelace Hospice and numerous other medical providers.

Tetterington -- Dale E. Tetterington, 7-14-1915 to 8-16-1998. A lava rock planter has been dedicated to Dale's memory on the Big Island of Hawaii. Mr. Tetterington was a longtime businessman in Albuquerque. The care and love shown to Christina and Dale during his illness will remain in my memory forever. Christina Smith Tetterington

Towne -- Lt. Col. Maurice H. Towne Jr., (U.S.A.R.-Ret.), 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 1999. He is survived by his sons, Maurice H. Towne III and Michael R. Towne, both of Albuquerque. He was an accomplished and distinguished CIC career officer. He served in a wide range of sensitive capacities, and on special assignments in the South Pacific during WWII. As a gifted linguist, he went on to serve with the Turkish Brigade in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He completed his military career with tours of duty in Alaska, at the Pentagon, and finally as Commanding Officer of the 901st Intelligence Detachment, then headquartered at what is now Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque. He retired from active duty in 1966. As a civilian, he worked with the E.G.&G. Corporation in Albuquerque as Chief of Security and Safety Officer before accepting a position as Senior Buyer and Chief of Security with Ross Aviation in 1976. He retired in 1992. He was an active and passionate outdoorsman, faithful friend, and cherished companion. As a man, he was a devoted father, teacher, and a distinguished offer and gentleman. For his friends, his passing leaves great emptiness, but his memory leaves us with profound respect and admiration. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Chaplain First Lt. Henry D. McCain officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made in the name of Maurice H. Towne Jr., a founding member, to the N.R.A. Walstrom -- John E. Walstrom, age 40, a former resident of Albuquerque who resided in Van Nuys, CA, died April 12, 1999 of a massive heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Lori; step-sons, Brian and Danny Vilarino of Van Nuys, Jeremy and Nicholas of Tucson, AZ; son, Joseph and daughter, Desiree of Van Nuys; mother, Barbara and husband, Roscoe Champion of Albuquerque; father, Charles R. Walstrom of Los Lunas; sister, Stephanie and husband, Anthony Williams of Los Lunas; brothers, Charles R. Walstrom and wife, Cheryl of Rio Rancho, Tom Walstrom and wife, Suzanne; several nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. John was a native New Mexican and graduated from Manzano High School. After three years in the Army, he remained active with the National Guard for 11 years. He was a heavy equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers for 11 years. John was active as a Boy Scout in his youth and continued to serve in this program. He loved helping people. Viewing will be Monday, April 19, 1999, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Pierce Brothers Praise Water Mortuary in Canoga Park, CA. Warnock -- George Forrester Warnock, 67, passed away on April 7, 199 of natural causes. George was born January 16, 1932 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Henderson Bennett Warnock and Helen (Schwartz) Warnock. George grew up in Arizona, loved the outdoors, and played football and other sports for Winslow City High School in Arizona, and the University of Colorado at Boulder. He interrupted his university studies to serve as a Marine in the Korean War. He later completed his university and graduate studies in Geology and Mining Engineering at the University of Arizona. George spent much of his early professional geology career working as a consulting geologist at international locations with the W.R. Grace Company of New York. His desire to start his own company and to return to the western United States led him to settle in New Mexico with his family and pursue his own business in the early 1970s, which evolved into Todilto Exploration and Development Corporation based out of Albuquerque. George's lifetime passions were mineralogy, hunting and related outdoor activities. His dream was to be able to retire to the beautiful mountainside site of his current home in Creede, CO with which he had become familiar during his early geology days. His last years were spent happily at Creede with his wife, Guerrie. George is survived by his wife, Guerrie Brown Robertson Warnock of Creede; and his sister, Myrtise Ballard of Sun City West, AZ. George was the father of four children and two step-children, George Forrester Warnock III of Albuquerque, Pamela Helen Warnock of Paris, France, Lloyd Vance Warnock of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert Wade Warnock of Rio Rancho, Lisa Robertson Butt of Appleton, WI, and Scott Robertson of Baton Rouge, LA; as well as seven grandchildren. At George's request, he was cremated and his ashes will be scattered upon Mammouth Mountain near Creede. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Creede Underground Mining Museum.

Wasung -- Stanley M. Wasung, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, and a former resident of Detroit, MI, left the world at peace with God and his loved ones, Wednesday, April 14, 1999. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Cook Wasung; two daughters, Mary Ellen Gray of Pembrooke Pines, FL and Julie Ann Bauman and husband, William of Deerborn, MI; and son, Joseph Paul Wasung and wife, Barbara of Greeley, CO; step-daughters, Jeanette Smith and Mary Cook, both of Albuquerque; step-son, Don Cook and wife, Kathy of Memphis, TN; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Cass Wasung, Victor Wasung and Thaddeus Wasung; and sister, Helen Franke. Mr. Wasung was born in Hamtramck, MI. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the European Theater. Mr. Wasung was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was also a life member of the International Painters Brotherhood; a member of the AFLCIO, Amvets and BPOE #461.
