Chavez -- Laura Manuelita Chavez, 22, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, died Friday, April 16, 1999. She is survived by her newborn son, Darryus Lawrence Chavez of Albuquerque; parents, Barry and Leonore Garcia; sister, Veronica Garcia; brothers, Jerome Garcia and James Garcia, all of Albuquerque; great-grandfather, Guadalupe Garcia of Laguna Pueblo; grandmother, Lillian Chavez of Isleta Pueblo; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lawrence M. Chavez. Laura worked at Albuquerque Manor Nursing Home at a C.N.A. She was a member of Cochiti Pueblo. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Bob Lewis reciting. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Burial will follow. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
