Anderson -- Marian R."Mickey" Anderson , 62, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 1998 in Albuquerque, NM after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 22, 1936 in Barnsdall, OK and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She married and settled in Tulsa, OK where she raised her three children. She was a caring and proud mother whose first priority was always her children. She was a well-respected secretary to many prominent lawyers, doctors and newspapermen in the Tulsa area. As an animal lover, she always surrounded herself with pets, especially dogs, and cared for them like children. She also enjoyed reading and raising Bonsai trees. She moved to Albuquerque in 1996 and immediately fell in love with the enchantment of New Mexico culture. She was a quiet and gentle person who always thought of others before herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie A. Lehman and husband, Martin of Dallas, TX; two sons, Don Mark Anderson and wife, Susan of Albuquerque and Christopher D. Anderson of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Cole Joseph Lehman and Michael Earl Swalby; three great-grandchildren, Marissa Swalby, Michael Swalby and Jacob Swalby; brother, Ted Clem and wife, Mary; and step-mother, Doris Clem. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with the Marionites reciting. Baca -- Margaret C. Baca"Nana", 87, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 1998. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Nana was such a loving, giving, caring and thoughtful person, always doing for others, family and friends. In spite of her own health problems, she always thought of others before herself. Her generosity of time, spirit, and faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Baca in June, 1997; and her grandson, Phillip in July, 1998; her brother, Eloy Romero; and one sister, Erlinda Sandoval, both of Los Lunas. She is survived by her three children, Consuelo Baca and her husband, Joe A. Baca of Los Lunas, Carlos Baca and his wife, Gloria C. Baca of Albuquerque, and Lila Tallon and her husband, Roger of Albuquerque. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Viewing will be held on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Romero Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Monday, 7:30 p.m., at the San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., also at the San Clemente Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Los Lentes Cemetery. Barnett -- James Matthew Barnett, 35, died Monday, August 31, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Chantel Barnett; son, Cole Matthew; daughter, Presley Victoria, all of Tucson, AZ; dad, L.D. Barnett; brother, Vincent Barnett; nephew, Andrew James, all of Albuquerque; father-in-law, Jack Mills; mother-in-law, Vickie Mills; sister-in-law, Whitney Mills; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mom, Grace Barnett. James was a graduate of Manzano High School and Southern Arkansas University, where he played baseball for both schools. He worked for State Farm and was a national disaster adjuster and trainer. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Fr. Paul Baca officiating. Beemer -- Winifred Barbara Beemer, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1991, died Friday, September 4, 1998. Winifred Barbara Wilkinson was born on November 30, 1903 on her father's oil lease near Marr, Ohio. They moved to Woodsfield, Ohio and then to Sapulpa, Oklahoma in 1917. After her marriage to Daniel Sherman Kinley, she moved to Los Angeles in 1924 where they operated a number of business. Mrs. Beemer was one of the first female real estate brokers in the area. She also operated a tax accounting service in Los Angeles for 40 years, and after Mr. Kinley's death, she moved to Capistrano Beach, where she married Gillespie H. Beemer. Mrs. Beemer moved to Albuquerque in 1991 and continued her tax work and many charitable activities. Her final organizational memberships included St. Bernadette's Parish, The Altar and Rosary Society at St. Bernadette's Parish, Catholic Daughters of the Americas-Court Santa Maria #317, St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, Friend of the Dominican Sisters Retreat House, and member of the Sewing Circle for Casa Angelica. Mrs. Beemer was honored for her 50 year membership in the Catholic Daughters in May 1995 and served in many offices over the years, including Vice Regent, Auditor, and Treasurer. Mrs. Beemer is survived by her only daughter, Diana Kinley Goebel and husband, Martin of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Daniel M. Goebel and wife, Debbie of Phoenix, AZ and Susan A. Heck and husband, Jon of Glendale, AZ; four great-grandchildren, Jason and Heather Goebel and Jennifer and Caitlin Heck. Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE with Catholic Daughters of American reciting. Bibeau -- Anna S. Bibeau, 96, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 1998. She and her husband, Ed, moved to Albuquerque in 1947. That same year, they opened and operated Ed's Super Market, a neighborhood grocery store, on 1418 Grand NE. Anna was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and when her husband preceded her in death in 1965, it was her brave spirit and her deep faith that guided her through the years. In 1992, Anna became a resident of Mission Manor and through the help of the staff, she participated in new activities, made new friends, and still enjoyed the visits of family and old friends. Anna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Fernand A. Bibeau and his wife, Phyllis, Claire M. Blankenship and her husband, Clarence, and Edward E. Bibeau and his wife, Bonnie; two sisters, Eva Marquis of Nashua, NH and Juliette Coddington of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of her Life will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Clarence Blankenship officiating. Brown -- Nadine Brown, 73, passed away Thursday, September 3, 1998, in Green Valley, AZ, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son, R.C. Brown and wife, Elaine of Green Valley, AZ; daughter, Debra Wilmot of Bosque Farms; sisters, Louise Caspell of Abilene, TX, and Marcy Galbreath and Catherine Myers, both of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray W. Brown in 1989. Mrs. Brown owned the Moccasin Shop in Old Town for 25 years with her husband, Ray, retiring in 1994. She was an active member of the Old Town Merchants Association for many years. We will miss her. Faris -- Richard (Raschid) S. Faris was born on August 26, 1952. On Friday, September 4, 1998, he went to be with our Lord, at the age of 46. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Frank E. Faris and his daughter, Elizabeth Ann. He is survived by his mother, Sophie (Koury) Faris of Albuquerque; sons, Richard, Christopher, Jake, Kameron, Kody, Kyle; daughter, Ashley; brothers Frank Faris and Michael Faris and his wife, Rhonda of Albuquerque; sisters, Camille Stueber and husband, John of Albuquerque, Sandy Lloyd of Seattle, Sheila Bernardoni and husband, Jim of Albuquerque and Shaylyn Graves and husband, Ricco of Seattle; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and one great-niece. Richard was a very generous and loving person and father and he had an excellent sense of humor and an uncomparable witt which he shared with everyone he met. Richard will be missed for these and many other qualities, but the family takes solace in the fact that Richard is enjoying the peace and joy that only heaven can offer. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. The services will be presided over by Rev. Ron Mansdoerfer and Rev. Eddie Lee. Garcia -- Flora S. Garcia, 93, a resident of Las Cruces, NM and formerly of Albuquerque and a native of the Old Town Area, passed away early Saturday morning. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Clarita Luna Serna; her husband, Bennie L. Garcia; two sons, Manuel Serna and Ernest"Ernie" Garcia: four brothers, Frank, Bobbie, Henry and Thomas Serna; three sisters, Rose Lovato, Charlotte Serna, Beatrice Sedillo; one granddaughter, Donna Louise Cordova; a son-in-law Richard Robles; one godchild, Freddie Sedillo. She is survived by one son, Eloy Serna; five daughters, Carmen Duree, Josephine Robles and husband, Roberto, Lupe Robles, Margie Cordova and husband, Tony and Viola Garcia. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Holt -- Jeanine Holt died peacefully at home Thursday, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous fight with cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband, D.B.; and daughters, Donna Emanouil, Spart, MI, Jeanne Sue Wooldridge, Albuquerque, and Darla Holt of the family home in Flint, TX; three grandsons, Jason Emanouil, Jack Abernethy and Blake Wooldridge; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Mosier, Brock, TX; brothers, James Rogers and Homer Rogers Jr., Bryson, TX. Jeanine touched the lives of hundreds of people. Her love of life, her family, her friends and animals was uncommonly strong. A native of Texas, she made a loving, supportive home for her family wherever and whenever husband, D.B., was transferred with his long career in the grocery business. Jeanine and her family recently moved to Lake Palestine, where she designed and furnished their retirement home. She will not only be remembered with love by all who knew her, but also with grateful hearts for her beauty and grace. Lucero -- Mrs. Eutimia"Timi" Lucero, 69, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on September 6, 1998. Mrs. Lucero is the beloved wife of 6 years to Mr. Luciano Lucero. She is also survived by one sister, Pauline Chavez and husband, Flavio; three brothers, Camel Padilla, Alonzo Padilla and wife, Geneva and Epifanio Padilla Jr. and wife, Annette; and many nephews and nieces. Mrs. Lucero was a member of the Catholic Church. Moore -- Martha Ruth Mullinax Moore was born December 25, 1911 to Mary Girdner Mullinax and Charles I. Mullinax on Paradise Valley Farm near Princeton, Missouri. She spend her early life in Princeton, graduating from Princeton Schools. She graduated from Christian College, Columbia Missouri and the University of Missouri and later attended the College of Santa Fe and New Mexico Eastern University. She married Dr. Robert D. Moore on May 6, 1934. The became the parents of three children, Wood Mullinax Moore, Linda Frances Moore and Joseph Curtis Moore. She taught in the Ruidoso school system for 30 years before retiring where she received national recognition for her school art projects. In 1982 she was elected to the South East National Education of New Mexico Hall of Fame. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Moore; son, Wood Mullinax Moore; and a grandson, Matt Alan McLean. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Moore Caldwell; son, Joe Moore; three granddaughters, Mary Anna Moore, Tracy Tafoya and Karrie Pierson; six great-grandchildren, Sage Moore, Amy Moore, Brittany Tafoya, Emily Tafoya, Katherine Pierson and Joseph Pierson. She was a member of P.E.O., honorary teachers sorority, Alpha Delta Kappa, she served as president of Beta Sigma Phi, the Pink Ladies and the Ruidoso Education Association. She was also a member of the Methodist Church. Services will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow in Princeton, Missouri.

Parham -- Edward Giddens Parham, who resided in Albuquerque for more than 35 years, died on August 23, 1998 in Port Isabel, Texas. Mr. Parham is survived by his wife, Evangeline; a son, Abraham; and his sister, Pat Attaway of Greensboro, Georgia. Mr. Parham's son, Rob, predeceased him. After attending the University of Georgia and playing on its football team, Mr. Parham served in World War II and then enrolled in one of the first classes at UNM Law School. He practiced for more than 30 years in areas ranging from successfully defending freedom of speech before the U.S. Supreme Court to criminal and domestic cases. Those who knew Mr. Parham will miss his very original wit, unique perspective of life, legal talents, and his ability to relate to people form all walks of life.

Porter -- Jennie Lou Porter, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Saturday, September 5, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Hollis Porter of Albuquerque; daughter Janice Bain and husband, Doyle of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Laura Hall of Albuquerque; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. In 1961 the First Baptist Church of Alameda was started in her home as a mission of Calvary Baptist Church. All her life she was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her church family was always near. Services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Alameda, 8818 2nd St. NW, with Pastors Jim Wilson and R.L. Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Marty Fuentes, Red Robertson, Floyd Smith, Leo Smyth, Roy Cline, and R.L. Armstrong. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlyle Nix, Joe Brown and Lee Oldfield. Stockdale -- Opal L. Stockdale, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1975, died Thursday, September 3, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Morgan and husband, Michael of Albuquerque; grandson Kyle Morgan and wife, Kelly of Huntsville, TX; niece, Ruth Mitchem and husband, Carl of Independence, KS; and grandnieces, Marla Sanders of Topeka, KS and Allida Branton and husband, Richard of Columbia, MO. Mrs. Stockdale had a great love of music. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave. NE, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield officiating. Valencia -- Ben F. Valencia, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Friday, September 4, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Modesta M. Valencia of the family home; daughters, Ursula Leyba and husband, Leo, Dianna Brown, Bernice Campbell and husband William, Barbara Valencia, and Kathleen Valencia, all of Albuquerque, and Dolores Harkins and husband, Robert of Arlington, VA; sons, Leon J. Valencia and wife, Anita and Joel Valencia, all of Los Lunas, NM; granddaughters, Debora M. Quintana and husband, Harold, Michelle Wall and husband, James and Jolene Valencia, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, George K. Brown, Daniel J. Brown and wife, Lisa, and Jody Valencia, all of Albuquerque; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Isauro Valencia and wife, Aurelia of Santa Fe, NM. Mr. Valencia was preceded in death by his grandson,, Christopher Valencia; sister, Rose Lujan; and aunt, Catalina Roybal. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Albuquerque Printing and Graphic Communications Union, Local 234. Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd., with Pastor Edwin Shepperson officiating.
