Obituary for Anderson

Marian R."Mickey" Anderson , 62, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 1998 in Albuquerque, NM after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 22, 1936 in Barnsdall, OK and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She married and settled in Tulsa, OK where she raised her three children. She was a caring and proud mother whose first priority was always her children. She was a well-respected secretary to many prominent lawyers, doctors and newspapermen in the Tulsa area. As an animal lover, she always surrounded herself with pets, especially dogs, and cared for them like children. She also enjoyed reading and raising Bonsai trees. She moved to Albuquerque in 1996 and immediately fell in love with the enchantment of New Mexico culture. She was a quiet and gentle person who always thought of others before herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie A. Lehman and husband, Martin of Dallas, TX; two sons, Don Mark Anderson and wife, Susan of Albuquerque and Christopher D. Anderson of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Cole Joseph Lehman and Michael Earl Swalby; three great-grandchildren, Marissa Swalby, Michael Swalby and Jacob Swalby; brother, Ted Clem and wife, Mary; and step-mother, Doris Clem. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with the Marionites reciting. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE with Fr. Mark Granito, Celebrant. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
